Long form, short form....doesn't matter. Say what you have to say. Those that enjoy, will follow. I particularly enjoy the deep philosophy mixed with the modern media humor! Please continue to bury smiles within your presentations. The exposure to items most of us will never see is a gift. Thank you.

I like the long form. I don't agree with KZread's idiotic algorithm that's trying to do Tiktok. Seems like you're getting up there on subscribers though, to 10K, which should get you a plaque, so hopefully that will allow for more of the long form content pieces.

I feel that rare books are the lifeblood of the academic instinct in man. From the arcane codex of the prehistoric priest, to the underground street scene zines of the 1990's. A rare tome of knowledge, in any format, is a window into the depths of the human experience.

The acquisition of a profound appreciation for literature, inherited from my father during our residence amidst the verdant expanse of the Venezuelan Amazon, has paved the way for a transformative chapter in my life. Now afforded the privilege of dwelling in this venerable land, replete with repositories of human wisdom, the stewardship of these literary troves assumes a profound significance-an endeavor to safeguard the annals of history for posterity. It is, undeniably, an extraordinary odyssey across the tapestry of time and space.

My mother was a diligent Methodist throughout her life. She died nine years ago and sadly I did not get any of her old religious texts when she died. I have been doing a bit of research into religious hymn writing after getting an antique Bilhorn folding organ and yesterday picked up an old big print Methodist hymn book from 1933 published for Australia and New Zealand where I live. I got it at my local thrift store. While the book is nothing compared to the books you have, it was published not long after my mother was born and adds to the history of New Zealand, which is a young country anyway. I mentioned a bat night light on your instagram giveaway story and seeing your light in this video I think you need to find an antique bat night light to light up your bookshelf!

Books are inherently precious. Old books especially embody the idea of hope: a wish, that knowledge, important enough to be written or printed and bound so meticulously, would survive to be experienced and appreciated by others. The inherent fragility of the materials, the care and attention to each detail (even the quirky margin doodles of so many illuminated manuscripts), makes it so happening upon one is like witnessing a shooting star or finding a four leaf clover. Coins are nice, but they don't tend to be quite as awesome as old books. Perhaps that's just my bias though.

Long time subscriber! I collect old Bibles, Torahs, Qurans, and any other religious books I can find from the 1700s and 1800s! I’m American but lived in remote Scotland for almost a decade and would always find the most unreal (and unwanted!) religious books hundreds of years old at random antique shops in random villages. I would buy them for a mere few £ each find, each time my mind blown no one wanted them. It brings great pride to know I’m helping preserve history. I also make sure to read every word of every book I find. There is unending treasure and wisdom in the books from ages ago! Thanks for always putting out this important content!
