The relationship between the bowings on the string instruments and the stickings on the snare drum.

Borodin´s "Polovtsian Dances" is used to demonstrate that, to get the same phrasings as the strings instruments that we are doubling, we can use our stickings to imitate the bowings of said instruments.
That produces the same phrasings in both sections, thusa consistent and homogeneous interpretation that enhances the performance of the orchestra.
I´m using a @GroverPro G3T-5 snare drum.

It is, indeed!! I really like to play as the instruments I double are playing so our phrasing is consistent.
