Genesis 1 says man and woman was made. Genesis 2 said man was put to sleep, then woman was made. Genesis 1, God is called Elohim. Genesis 2, God is called Lord. There are more differences, which is why people feel it was written by 2 different sources.

And this is why I believe that human kind, us, are from genesis 2, and not Genesis 1! I tend to think that the first creation were the Gods or the Titans, and it is theses Gods that created us in their image in Genesis 2. So who are these Gods...Enki, Enlil, Ninhursag...later to be known as Odin, Thor, Loki, Ptah, Osiris, Lucifer, Allah, etc. so what is the real GOD...it is Consciousness, awareness, which is in all of us...we are the Kingdom as Jesus told his disciples that the Kingdom was already here, within us! It is the Gods, the first creation that is the deception but Consciousness is within them as well...we are all GOD, that is Consciousness is experiencing many material realities simultaneously in everything it occupies. Sorry for any typos!

@@radutomoiala6016 that'd be greatly plausible had Moses or ? kept Gen 1-3 consistent when mentioning God vs GOD. And when JESUS says he's not of this world and says the flesh is evil it almost puts Gen 1 into perspective that there's an evil race breeding with and wants the YHWH race who gets a soul in Gen 2.

In spite of comments to the contrary below, I appreciate the big-picture approach, that is the method of stepping back to see the entire landscape of before prior to dissecting each acre. In fact any good piece of writing does this, even practical expository writing. It first states the content as an overview, then starts at the beginning again moving more slowly and with greater detail. I also agree that the superimposed divisions by chapter and verse after the fact by those who are not the original author can/do influence how the content is understood (or why is can be misunderstood). I trust that God has provided and preserved this book (as with the rest of the Christian bible), and take the humble view that if there is a problem discerning the content or organization of Genesis, the fault is in us not the book. Remember that it is spiritual in purpose. It is not written like a modern text book, which is not to say it contracts objective, honest science (not modern science with its anti-God liberal bias).

Because of the old Shakespearean way of writing the first line in the paragraph expresses a paragraph. The first paragraph expresses the chapter. The first chapter expresses the book. So the second of that mentioned above would be the Introduction of the information, and a continuation for a story.

2:5 is talking about "field" as a subset of "earth" Field in Hebrew is a specific place or, in this case, a wide flat area suitable for cultivating. Not the whole surface of the earth. 2:8 "And the Lord God (heb: had planted. It was there already when He made Adam) planted a garden......there He put the man..." So, no contradiction between ch.1 and 2

It couldn’t be me? 😳 Riddle me this? 🤨 When was the 2nd commandment given? “Jonathan Kleck “ And can you back date it back to Genesis 1 & 2, with using the 2nd commandment? 👀👂🏿🦻🏻 Also What happened to the Spirit of God from Genesis 1:2, that surrounded the frozen(Job 38:30) dark water called the deep, when the light entered the darkness and the darkness knew it not, to start the process of forgiveness. The only explanation for Genesis 1:2 being there before the creation story. 🤔 👀👂🏿🦻🏻2 Peter 3:5-7 Authorized (King James) Version 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Yet! This forgiveness is because of the fall of 1/3 of the angels/morning stars “all others out side of the Father’s house”. (Revelation 22:16-21 & John 10:35,Jesus) but the “others”, that fell with Lucifer/Satan. After losing his position of Lucifer. Lucifer in Heaven yet Satan in the garden of Eden. Jude and Job 38 😳 Now, how did Genesis 1:2 (the deep, dark and frozen[Job 38:30]) get there before the re-creation story? The Alfa and Omega! The beginning and the end of the Word. The Scriptures. And Jesus, the light of the world. John 1:1-17 👀👂🏿🦻🏻 yes World out of the Father’s house. 👀👂🏿🦻🏻 This is why Jesus had to go the cross. To bring the Word of the Father! And the Word was “God”. The Father. 👀👂🏿🦻🏻. And then proof in John 1:1-17 🥰😇 Remember propaganda is spelled pro pagan da 🤡 And Propaganda is about bringing someone else down with you. It is a freedom of choice. So 🤔. Is it me? 😳 🙏🏿🙏🏼🥰😇🙏🏽🙏.

Yes, tanks, that is the intended message of Genesis...."Israel, I Am Your Creator and I Am giving you my Covenant". Not the literary embellishment added probably with the geocentric Greek influence of the earth been created before the solar system, or the "light that separates day from night" before the sun...

I do have a different take on this, and I believe Genesis 1 and 2 are two different creation period, but not different accounts, it's still the same account. All of Mankind was created on day 6 but Man (Adam) was formed outside of the first creation event. Most animals were brought forth from the earth on day 6 but, the animals (domesticated) that were to be a help to Adam were formed after Adam was formed, not before. Remember that the animals (beast of the earth) were created before man in Genesis 1, but the animals that were meant to be a help meet (beast of the field) were formed after man was "alone". From these domesticated animals Adam did not find a suitable help meet. Then God brought forth Eve, I think God did this for Adam to recognize the importance of Eve as his equal (Even though he was the head) because Adam could not find an equal from the beasts of the field. As far as I am concerned Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are chronological in order. Adam, Eve and the domesticated animals were formed after day 7 when God rested. I believe that the Gap between Genesis 2:3 and Genesis 2:7 is where the millions of years exist. In this time period Dinosaurs roamed the earth alongside sub-human species who were not created in God's image. All this was in preparation for Man as the earth had to go through a natural progression. In the early days after day 7, the night sky would have been without stars for the light of the stars would take millions of years to reach earth, the earth would have had to go through an ice-age before the sun became warmer, and animal life died over millions of years to feed the ground nutrients and form minerals, plant life would have to grow and become mature to sustain an Ecosystem suitable for man etc. One thing I know is that God is a God of processes, HE does not put the cart before the horse. The earth had to go through a period of time before it became suitable for man to enter the scene. Only then did God form the physical man whom he had already created (engineered - process of design and functionability) on day 6.

Oh my what a confusing interpretation a lot of words sounds like 2 separate creations and creators chapter 2 is the Israelites god. Not The most high creator a big difference . The father of Jesus has a whole different message than the god of the violent Israelite god just does not make sense the way he explained this ? ?

Genesis 1 talks about "New Creation" through Adam and Eve in his presence "Eden" they were people pre existing in the West of Eden or in the land of Nod meaning Lawless or Rebellious Land. Cain killed Abel then God removed him from his presence and said in Genesis 4 "you burnished me from the land and your presence you make me wonder, anyone who will find me will kill me" that is when God put a mark on him to protect him "if anyone killed him will be punished sevenfold" Cain God his wife through him the was Enoch the Grandfather of Noah up to Abraham Bloodlines paving for Jesus Christ For you my brother and sisters in Christ you can check Jeremiah 4 verse 23-30 this is the missing information you all need to go through 😍😍much love 🇿🇦🇿🇦✌️let's focus on Salvation if we try to understand God our brains will explode his above us and high so his plans are hight than our thoughts 😊

Genesis 1: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 2: he made Adam and put him in the garden. Perfect explanation of different races. The neanderthal and other prehumans. You can't say things like civilization is 6000 years old when you had neanderthals running around 200,000 years ago. Now some say every race came from Noah's three sons. In several thousand years? Now if Noah's flood was regional, the other races would not have been killed off. If Noah had filled his ark with lions and tigers and bears, oh my, the carnivores would have eaten all the clean beasts within a month after the flood. And I'm sure, as some say, Cain didn't marry his sister. No, there were other people about at that time. Use a little reason. Don't use the term DAY as a literal day. If you do, the scientists will pick your beliefs to bits. You will be like pat Robertson, crying on TV you can't argue with science, you'll lose your children. Sob. Fact is, there were others on earth long before Adam. The bible is a diary of Adams family. To Noah's three sons and then to the Hebrew people from shem. The others were Adamites but not God's chosen ones. Do Adamites and other races have a place in God's plans? I think so. Why else did he make them? All though there are countless stories in the Bible where the Hebrews were told to wipe out whole populations. As if they were scum. And he used these other nations to punish the Hebrews/Israelites. When God's city returns, what is written above the twelve gates? Do you think other nationalities will enter into those gates? They may be there, but not in the city. That is set up for his lost sheep. And I don't care. If I have to stand outside, at least I made it. Rambling done.

Creation No. 2 YHWH, creation is singular, and because of sin he curses Adam and Eve. YHWH took a rib out of Adam. So, they are different gods, different stories.
