Sometimes those who have been beaten down *NEED* to see & hear others who are stronger illustrate ways they can employ to help themselves overcome that which drags them down. Your assertions to stop seeking that support out are lame at best, since you yourself admit you needed professional help to overcome your psychiatric shortfalls... Become your own role model... *BE THE CHANGE YOU SEEK.* It is too easy to cut others down for the very thing you also clicked on this video for... Yeah...I just called you out on your double standard... a character flaw all on it's own... Slamming those seeking guidance is a clear weakness on your part!!!

This might seem condescending but you can change your thoughts. For to long a time I lacked confidence and a feeling of worthlessness. Had some horrible thing happened to me the last 10-15 years. I try and watch motivational content like stoicism here on YT. A 10-15 min. vid can change your thinking and Remember that you are in charge. If you start to think negative thoughts fight them and change your mindset. As for being made fun of instead of getting defensive say to the person about the other faults they forgot to tell you. Growing up I got a lot of racial abuse and I used to lash out. Now I just choose not to get offended. It can still hurt but I try not to care what people say A year ago someone was saying some really horrible racist stuff online instead of attacking the person I told him how it made me feel and how it was like when growing up. He was angry because most of his family had lost their jobs due to immigrants. we started to have a good interaction and He actually apologised. I can still get triggered and have doubts about myself but I am trying. Give this a look Sara and take care. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eqlk2qate5bNY7Q.html&ab_channel=VoxStoica

Prayers are powerful. God is the source of love strength. Speak to Him and let Him reveal to you who you are. You are not all the negative words people have said about you it even you about yourself. God loves you. You are the daughter of the King. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Get to know Him. Some of things she said is in the Bible. Ultimately God knows more about you than you do and He longs to have a relationship with you. As a Father will strengthen and guide His daughter that's Him. He changed my life, 10 yrs ago, by following Jesus. Read about what He says about you in the Bible, ask Him to explain the book of John. Start by talking to him from your heart 💓

I was also bullied as a kid up until my 20s, and on social media/ KZread for my business, I've received troll comments. Experienced childhood traumas & toxic relationships. Believed all the negativity that was thrown at me & wanted to kill myself. But something in me snapped a few years ago to not give a F*k about people, just focus on myself, my dreams, & being a light for others that also experienced what I have(I know this part contradicts what I said above😂). It's very freeing to shed negativity, because it's actually not ours. Confidence doesn't need to mean that we think we're hot & badass. It's just about living the way WE want & standing up for ourselves, not letting anyone disrespect us. Being your authentic self doesn't harm others, but it does harm us to not do it. When anyone has a problem with it, it's because THEY aren't strong enough to be authentic or they feel they don't have control of their life, so they try to control others. Hope this helps anyone that reads it!!

@@andreawheatley5528 the mind is a 'tool' we need to learn how to use. Just like we learned to walk, etc. The brain 🧠 itself, we've learned it can regenerate (Neuro plasticity) it is something that was thought could not possibly happen. It does. So, a brain injury can be healed. The rest of the healing is up to the individual. Meaning, do you, yourself, accept to listen to others, and, then you make the conscious decision to change? If you, choose that option, your mind, which is separate from your brain 🧠 will do as YOU choose and will bring about the change. You, are NOT a little girl. You, are an adult, independent person, who can choose, make YOUR own decision. If, and, only if, YOU choose to do so. You, decide who you allow to speak to you, and how. You choose to tell your mind , I will replace with new positive information ℹ️ the old data. Think of it this way. Computers need upgrades to new, current programs for the present. Why are you functioning with old information ℹ️? Anything stagnant, gets rutted and dies. Your old information, died. From a traumatic brain injury, I was told: imagine having a toolbox 🧰. Now take out all the tools ⚒️ 🛠 and put new ones in. Otherwise, regret, resentment, victim mentality , and negative thoughts and emotions will run your life. It took a while to assimilate it. But I had to make the choice. And, above all, choose who was going to continue with this 'me' that 'I' had to create. I am in constant search for well-being, health, positive energy; stress-less environment. I make a conscious decision. So can each of us. And you. Blessings 🙏🤗

@Kristina Mullen there's a purpose for where we are, and when. Every thing has a season. Situations we go through are meant to teach us, prepare us for the next steps. Something good always comes out of every situation no matter how difficult/terrible it is. Research on how to handle disrespectful behavior in a manner that suits you. I myself, have never allowed disrespect. But because of my personality I handled that. While I didn't do well in other things like I was too naive. But research the most you can so you know how to handle it. And the best, ask God for His guidance. He will not leave us no matter what. Psalm 32:8 I will teach you and guide you with mine eye. What a better promise than this. Ask Him. And hold Him to it. And He, as the loving, generous Father He is, will protect you and guide you. I pray He surrounds you with His protection and guide you by His hand as He has promised and guided me. In the name of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏

DETECTING PATTERNS in how speak to ourselves is KEY to transition away from past limiting patterns. WE need to become aware of the specific phrases that continue to give us an un-easy gut reaction. This was crucial in my early days of addiction recovery, and helps those I guide, in all circumstances of limiting behavior. TIPS: 1. Make an inventory of these limiting statements. 2. Make it mandatory to combat this with WORDS TO YOURSELF that are accurate and kind. 3. Create and recite an affirmation each morning, specific to you, detailing you deserve happiness. 4. Take an action towards your goal. BEST PRACTICES and WISHES to us ALL!

I tell you what I been doing. I used to experience everything you talk about it here! No self confidence was one of my major issues, my shoulders shrinked all the time. My Drs blamed it on hormones. Felt like I had no support from anyone. Until one day, my counselor told me that all of these feelings are normal to feel. With all the things that women go thru, even today, we still struggle to fight man power. And, unconciously, we don't accept that it's ok to cry, it's ok to feel down, nothing is wrong with us. Its normal!!!! The day I accepted that fact! I stopped asking for understanding from others, I stopped feeling sorry for myself. I started enjoying what I can and even embraced the days to order pizza and just snuggled in bed. I'm not all happy all the time, but at least I'm not bringing the sadness around with me to others. "FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT"

I’m 54, and fekking LOVE this interview! Wish to God I could have seen it 35 years ago! But I’ve got it now. 🏆 Just brilliant. Absolute cure for the imposter syndrome that me and so many of my female friends have! Fuck that tippytoeing around trying not to ‘upset’ my male colleagues with my ‘me-ness’. I have every right to be myself. I’m gonna love me and set my authentic self FREE! I totally understand the PRESENCE that is going to give me in the room. I used to be super confident, but had it knocked out of me over the years by life throwing such massive blows at me (cancer, then diagnosed with ADHD (chemo massively exacerbated the symptoms I worked hard to mask/overcompensate for over the years), losing three jobs in a row (cos of rampant ADHD!) and my parent’s both falling ill and dying But it did NOT break me. I was on the mat for a while, but I don’t wallow. Bending myself to other people’s shape makes me an awkward and an invisible shadow of myself. Even I don’t like that version of me. I LOVE the powerhouse version of me. Working on letting HER back out after many years!

There comes a point, IF YOU'RE PAYING ATTENTION!!!... when everyone else falls to the background & you come to the juxtaposition of yourself vs EVERYONE/THING ELSE... & IT BEGS THE QUESTION OF "WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO *YOU???* " ALL the noise fades & you ascend into YOURSELF, & realize how much time & effort you've WASTED on others... _turning all that attention & effort to YOURSELF is NOT selfish... It is the deepest manifestation of self LOVE there is!!!_ Who cares if "they" throw a shitfit about it??? ...THAT PROVES they cannot stand you not giving all that to THEM- *SEE IT FOR WHAT IT IS!!!* Pat Benatar sang about it: _Hit me with your Best Shot!!!_ ....Because I will smack it down without missing a beat!!! Love literally IS _a battlefield_ ...the question is "Do you respect yourself ENOUGH to show some TO YOURSELF???"💜

FECK YAS. I couldn't agree more, I might also add in that in my experience, if I'm stuck in my creative fluidity, inspiration etc my antidote to that is to physically move my body, lift, kickboxing, run ... I NEED that and its in a direct connection to what I make/design/ come up with... LOVED this episode, thanks to the both of you!! I enjoyed this interview. Especially with what this world is going thru, our mental health is getting a huge wake up call let alone our physical selves. I am 56, single after being married for 28 yrs (he left for "greener" pastures) and a competitive Masters rower. I have rowed for over 35 yrs and I also identify with being an athlete. I can totally relate to your running on the beach story. My athleticism, training and self worth have taken a beating this past summer. Negotiations happen every day to get me on that rowing machine, get me to lift those weights and get on the bike and to eat well....so many HARD things but. But. I. AM. Worth it. Thank you so much for such a positive "fuck you" way to get thru these difficult and trying circumstances. I will have your voice helping to negotiate me to continue on that most wonderful of hard paths.

Great and inspirational topic ladies. With that said. We all will come across people that are not to our liking. And that's okay. Mutal respected does matter and goes a long way. We are all entitle to that much at least. Reading some of the comments about self-confidence. Echoes the wounded sheep. According to someone else's dysfunctional psychotic mindset of ones self. In all actuality. Those people. Illustrate narcissistic personality traits. Their alternative motive. Is to chip away at your postive self-esteem and outlook on life. Their policy is to create self-doubt. This will lead to second questioning yourself and self-worth. Narcissist has no desire to encourage anyone. Especially people they can control. Therefore the experience(s) you endure with narcissist in life. Expect the narcissist behavior to exercise their repeat offends Noticable to their actions. The first time will be enough. To head for the hills. Whatever you do. Never go back. Here's another example. The food we digested for the first time. May taste delicious as we are chewing the food. The next morning your stomach is bubbling. Your making more trips to the bathroom than usual. It's apparent. That big juicy medium rare steak. You ate last night. Mostly likely had Ebola parasites inside that steak. The lesson here is. You will be making no more reservation at that restaurant. None of us are defind by. The names we are called or the bad and nasty words. That people use to describe you. What we do have in common is. We are all human beings. With different ideas about life. We all have the right to choose. How to live our own life. And not let someone dicitate. What you should do with your life. Tap into what your passion about. And keep going forth. As long as you have breathe. You got a life to live.

I had a problem dealing with people who criticize others, and me. While watching this video on self rejecting, or deceiving yourself it was a real challenge for me. It was super difficult for me, and you know what. The person who criticized me, or correct me they have no idea criticizing others for their grammar. I actually deserve better because I educate myself on grammar than someone correcting me. It sounds as if someone is struggling with being criticized. They don’t deserve to criticize others the way they treat me. Also they had no idea they hurt my feelings. The person doesn’t deserve to be on social media, and criticize other people anymore.
