This is the perfect end for Superboy Prime, and the one reason i tolerate Dark Nights Metal, because this end is the best redemption and finale for the character... If they ever use him again, specially as a villain, I'll fucking riot.

The thing about Superboy Prime killing heroes is that, he is right, they’ll come back in the end. He understands that unlike his world, the comic world will never truly change outside of the regular DC reboot.

It’s so sad how that Superboy prime is seen as a villain even though he could have been one of the greatest heroes because he reads DC comics so he would have a lot of knowledge on the Superheroes and villains. Superboy prime is overpowered. Being able to defeat the Darkest knight. I love how he was reading his own death that was unexpected.

I had mixed feeling about the death metal run but I’m glad they redeemed superboy prime in some ways because he was always such a tragic story. And it’s good to see him used as a way to finally defeat someone who is so powerful since he is usually unbeatable. I really liked this and the way you tell the story really emphasizes it. Great video man 👍🏽

It's good to see that prime was able to be the hero he always wanted to be. Sometimes, you can redeem yourself. That's why Clark, the original one, is always quick to give people a chance. He may not trust them, at first. He may be skeptical. But his symbol is the emblem of hope. Not just on krypton, but now in the DC comics Earth. People see it and feel safe, they lift their hearts with that feeling. Superboy Prime wants to be a hero. He lost his way. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but the path to heaven is found when you never give up.

  • @wingadept8793

Seeing Superboy Prime redeem himself always reminds me of the quote May told Peter in Spiderman 2. "I believe there's a hero in all of us that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams." Prime did that, and as a result of his sacrificed he not only found redemption, but was also given a second chance.

Superboy-prime is the last and longest Pre-crisis Superman still in existence. Hes more potent and powerful then any modern alternate supermen from the multiverse and stronger than Kal-L. He is more interesting than one punch man. You cant delete Superboy-prime even if you tried to. He'll always go back on Earth-33 not the Pre-crisis Earth-Prime. Hes more interesting in personality wise and wipe the floor with you

I hope that, should they ever use the character again, they keep Superboy Prime a hero, so they don't take away from this story. I mean, he'll probably end up being brought back as a villain, since that happened the last time he was supposed to be left alone.

  • @eliandervalderen5849

You know when I read this the first time I thought that the darkest might have put Superboy into a Dreamworld coma. Now especially considering how his retcon punch works by creating waves when he punches something like a dimensional boundary or with your ability to similar to a dimensional boundary like when he punched his way out of the Phantom Zone, I think what happened was that he was hitting the darkest night with retcon punches literally Peewee all parts of his powers until he literally retconned himself out of the comic universe but because he still needed the power order to do so when he recognized himself back into his own Universe he brought his Kryptonian Powers with him. I think this is what Superman was hoping what happened during Legion of 3 worlds where he brought a future version of Superboy Prime to meet with his current / younger version. He hoped that the two of them to redeem each other even if they did so by punching each other out creating a paradox that could give them what they want by sending them back home.

His fight with sodam yat near the end of the yellow lantern war was super cool. I’m not sure I like this ending for superboy prime entirely cuz even if he did save the multiverse, he did some super fucked up shit over the years, even if he did go back to his world, this is a person who’s caused uncountable amounts of deaths and has seen unspeakable horrors. He can’t just go back to being his world’s superman after all of that.

If we hold him to that (very justifiable logic and standard), we would also have to hold other heroes to that standard. Let Smallville have his peace for once I say.

@@MrOnepiece14 I do understand your logic. It’s one of the reasons I find modern Harley Quinn infuriating. But Batman I think is a pretty bad example because he puts his criminals through the Justice system. Also I wasn’t specific enough with this in my initial comment (so I may edit it in) but I don’t think he can go back to being that world’s superman because of the psychological damage he’s gone through. Although I do think that could be an interesting premise for the character definitely if they ever do something with him again. It would be cool to see him try to be a stand up guy while carrying the sins of what he’s done and the horrors he’s seen.

It's so odd... I have no real love for Supes. Butt.... There's no other comic book character that can make me feel something like a well told story about Clark.
