(SPOILER ALERT) I think the ending is perfect. Thats the point of the whole story. He was always a teacher thats been hate and unrespected by students bcuz of his behavior especially by Seonduk. Until he decided to change and protect his student, and finally getting respected by seonduk. Thats why at the end she calls him 'Teacher'. He get the recognition as a teacher by his student. I think thats the point of this story, not that they will end up in love or anything.

Actually they are rude and mischievous students. Going against the school law is not brave thing or good thing. They didn't understand him how their teacher loved them until the the girls discovered that even he got humiliation in front his student but the end the respect him and miss him as their teacher. Thats why they called him teacher not his nick name.

I think the last woman saying "I want to meet you again" is them hinting that there is no romantic relationship between the student and teacher so I agree that the ending is perfect as it is since they maintained that student-teacher relationship

Oh I loved this story. The actress is my favourite too. She is wonderful,all the actors were extremely talented. Heartwarming story so far.

The best Jung So-min ✨ I like her acting from the beginning.

Having a teacher like him is a big treasure. Though he's not perfect.

The best special drama series i ever watched....jung so min's acting was excellent and the story so meaningfull...even 20million people watched it 👏👏😘😘

Now it's 28M in 2024 . It was a good movie

this drama special is a work of art. So good. I cried and laughed. Even though the world is 30 yrs older than back then it's still so relatable.

Thumbs up to the teacher. He treats all his students well. He makes a good partnership with that new female teacher. 👍

If someone is scrolling through the comments to decide whether to watch it not. Watch it definitely. Very nice movie.

You may be doubting whether or not to finish this movie, it might be too boring for you.. but trust me when I say this might not be the best, but definitely ONE of the best love story you could ever watch. Yup. This is a love story. Far different from what you expect but this will show you the true essence of love-which are listening, respect, understanding, forgiving and taking a risk. This is just a short review/recommendation but I wish that you’ll enjoy this movie as much as I do.

This is a perfect example that just because you're academically smart student, doesn't mean you're smarter person than someone older than you, RESPECT! Youth nowadays tend to belittle people by what they see from the outside without even knowing their real story and the silent sacrifices they made for us. I like this movie tho, I learned a lot💙

My official review is : fantastic, beautiful and brilliant! It's not your typical love story ; infact the love shown here is of a different kind . This film boldly addresses topics that we're relevant in those days and are still applicable in this day too , at least in some parts of the world . The treatment and perception of the female gender was something that struck me from the start ( like girls walking to and from school while boys traveling in buses . ) . Like I had no idea the gender disparity was so bad in the 80s . And the issue of an author's rights to write whatever they want without any restriction to creativity is tackled very well . As someone who believes in the freedom of expression , this was really appalling to see . The actors were really good . The girls especially lmao they remind me of my school days so much 😂😂😍. Last of all , I think this film pays a tribute to teachers. A teacher may not always be the most likable but you don't realize most of the time that they are protecting you . The teacher was really an ass in the beginning but then he changed for the better . I also loved how the maker of the film didn't feel the necessity for a forbidden teacher-student relationship . It was kept realistic with just a subtle touch of maybe-maybe not . I think the ending was hopeful in case of a romance , since sondeuk was legal when she meets her teacher again. Anyways , as one can see by my gushing I loved this movie very much! I think the time period and setting gave it a cool , nostalgic feel . It would have been less good if smartphones were brought into the picture to be honest 😅 ( although I can't survive without smartphones 😂)

This drama is so much innovative,creative. I was just speechless. Here we can learn a lots of lessons from this drama.The script writer is just awesome and acting was excellent... I really like the thoughts of the writer. This is called true meaning of a teacher

I am so glad, sooo soooo glad, I've stumbled upon this 😭 although the ending kind off ended not too much of a clean cut, I really like the overall story. I just wished there's sort of a satisfying ending between sun deok and taenam without the rushed ending Edit: a comment made me think that maybe the ending was actually intended to end like that? Just like how Sun Deok continued the story how she thought would turned out, maybe this ending is making us do the same thing too?? Ohoo

i never knew this movie would be a very great one! i always skip the clip video thinking it would not be as interesting as others. Now, I started watching this, i was amazed because the girl lead actor is one of my favorite. I saw her in the "d-Day" drama and others. She speak a bit funny due to her diction but interesting. I havn`t finish this movie but I really like it....thank you for theupload. Please upload more Korean movies/dramas...

This is a story about a teacher who sacrificed his future for the sake of his students. Yes, he wasn't the best teacher. He was always rough to his students, treats them like they're always doing something wrong. But I believe that on the inside, he's a warm-hearted person. Why else would he help his students if he wasn't? But what really got me hooked up is the blue comedy. Oh the condom and banana incident killed me! I kennat!!! Overall, it was good watch.

Such a great sacrifice for a students who doesn't respect him, A good teacher should teach the students from bad to good

If you came here for thumbnail this drama is not something that you're looking for. This drama has lots of good messages in it and is really good drama. I especially suggest this drama to the teacher candidates 😊

i love the story and how the teacher protect his student, he probably know that his student can go further in the future. excellent story.. thumbs up on the actors and actress.

I dont think that he was a good teacther, he was the one who started the problems and ended them in the most bad way.

Very inspirational movie... It was only sad that the setting of the story happened on the era where fair/freedom of expression didn't exist at all.. Unlike today,,, you can write whatever genre of story you want to as long as its not plagiarized... ❤

Brilliant drama , very touching. Turned out to be the best drama I've watched so far.

For me, this drama is the most touching story among dramas about the love of a teacher for his students. I was touched by the flow and plot of this drama, hope that I can be a good teacher someday that can sacrifice for students.

damn now that was a good movie. I was bout to skip it bc of ppl comments. I hate cliff hangers . but this was well worth the watch . I was soo damn fustraited with the men in this and the treatment of women..... but I know it's a different time era. .. whew so glad I wasn't born in that time even being in America was tough for women. anyway I will finish this movie lol they slowly got to know each other and eventually fell in love. 5 years later they get married and live happily ever after !! ah but that sweet lady he just met will rival as some competition bc she is very sweet and sincere . she is also a reasonable age and more accepted in the public eye for a woman suited for marriage. another societal rule they must overcome .
