A boy saved his girlfriend by throwing his body over hers. He was killed by the tornado, and she's alive today. He did it because he loved her and wanted for her to live. "I will never let you fall, I'll stand up with you forever. I'll be there for you through it all, even if saving you sends me to heaven." Thus, he's her guardian angel. Enterprise High School was destroyed by this tornado.

So about ten years ago I met this beautiful woman in high school. We quickly found feelings for each other as most kids do when they are younger. I fell as hard as anyone could possibly fall but we had to split because we both agreed that things weren't going to work. We stayed friends for a long time but slowly grew apart and lived our lives. But one fateful day we ran into each other again and our flame grew brighter than ever and we were back and ready to take on the world after 6 years apart. After some big steps in my life I got a car and an apartment in which we lived together. I was in an accident that took her life, scared beyond belief I suppressed every emotion I could and ran at the thought of her because I haven't been able to fully process this loss. My life has been on hold since that night. I spent 2 years in prison, and rightfully so. My life has been a stand still, and I haven't known what to do for the last couple years other than drink, smoke, and work my pain away. Put myself in relationships with women that abused me and used the accident as a knife against me, because that's what I thought I deserved. I was going to take my life but I wanted to listen to our song first. This song... now I'm not religious, or spiritual, I'm a man of science and fact but I am not against the thought or others beliefs. But when I listened to this song 2 hours ago and again just now I felt the most kind, gentle and familiar hug, I was wrapped in a blanket of chills and emotions that I kept down for so long. I no longer want to die. I don't know what my purpose is In life but I will keep going and I will keep her in my heart. I guess the few things I'm trying to say is that you need to spend as much time with the ones you live as you can, the fights, the silly times, everything. Just spend as much as you can. drive safe and be kind. And thank you for reading the most important and painful story I can share. Thank you red jumpsuit apparatus for making this wonderful song. For the rest of my days this song will hold me together and make me stronger. I love you Sarah, I miss you more than anything. Maybe one day I'll be proven wrong and I will see you again.

Years ago my dad introduced this song to me, He passed away last year and this was one of his favorite song and he used to sing this song a lot when we have parties and I'm starting to forget what he sounds like but whenever I hear this song I start to remember what his voice sounds like, He doesn't really show much affections cause he was raise that way, He's not used to saying "I love you" but when he was at the hospital he told us that he loves us very much and to forgive me for any mistakes he'd done and that was the last time I've ever seen and talked to him. He may not be a perfect father to others but he was perfectly enough for me and my family. I remember when I almost took my life to this song. I thought it was over once I found out my ex cheated on me. My first love, the first girl I put everything in to. I had a talk with my mom and she helped me so SO much, it's incredible that I'm still standing. I'm 24 now, and all that was 9 years ago, while I was in high school. This song goes out to my mom. Sometimes when people attempt to save another, it sends them to hell because the target of their love/affection is on a permanent down elevator. Many reasons for this, could be the loved one has alcohol or drug addiction, could be self destructiveness that takes another form or the other person is strictly a taker and self centered, selfish and the love is all one way. my friend really liked this song when we were in middle school. I really miss what we had, there was so much trust, we were really transparent with each other and equally dorky, haha. We’ve grown up though and shes doing her own thing now and doesnt seem to want to reconnect but she is still one the greatest friends ive ever had and sometimes i wonder if she visits this song for the nostalgia.

I came to listen to this song because it reminded me of my mom. She died early January 2015 of liver and kidney failure. This song reminds me that my mom doesnt have to suffer the hurt and the pain she went through on earth. She suffered everyday yet she cared more about everyone elses happiness rather than her own. There will always be a part of her that lives inside of me and every choice i make i make sure that it isnt the same mistakes my mom made. R.I.P ♡ To anyone reading this who is suffering through the sadness and suffering my mom did, please know that at least 15 people in this world love you in some way at least 2 people in this world would die for you Someone you don't even know exists loves you♡ ♡♡♡♡♡♡HAVE FAITH♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

My mom is 91 and a half. When someone you love gets that old, you keep track of half-years. She is losing ground every day. She has dementia pretty bad, now. She sees and talks to people who aren't there. I call every so often and always worry if she'll remember me. I called about a week ago; she remembered me. That was a relief. My dad (he's 85) takes 24-hour care of her. When they promised to stay together on October 1, 1954 for the rest of their lives, they meant it. They had four kids. We lost my older sister in May 1988 to leukemia; she was just 32. The rest of us are all "senior citizens" now. Imagine you're a parent, and you live long enough to see your kids in their middle 50s. Gotta make you proud. You know you did a good job...

Lost my mom back in 2015 while deployed in Africa. Not even 7 months later, my fiancé was shot and killed in a mugging in downtown Los Angels, my own home town. It’s been almost 4 years since all of that happened, and I still can’t seem to recover. My fiancé said she wanted this to play the night we get married, because this was actually playing in the background the first time we ever told each other “I love you”. I have to Guardian Angel’s looking over me. I wish I could hug them both and tell them how much I love them

My fiancée was killed in a tragic car accident & my Mom, my world, passed away as well. Tomorrow is the anniversary of her death. Trust me, I know for a fact they are with us. It hurts like hell, but they honestly wish us happiness. I’m incredibly sorry for your loses. I encourage you to talk to them anytime you are hurting. I do it all the time. I know they’re with me, watching over me & continually loving me every single day of my life. I hope you will find peace & somehow feel their presence. ❤️

the first time I ever heard this, I was hiding out in the choir room in high school. the new kid was already there. playing the guitar. he'd taken my hiding spot. but I sat down to listen to him play, after he assured me I wasn't bothering him. there was snow falling outside the giant windows as he started to sing. it was the most beautiful thing id ever heard. I'd had a crush on him, and I think that may have been when I started to fall for him. we ended up singing this together in the school talent show as he played guitar. that was almost 10 years ago now. seems like another life sometimes. we lost touch for a while, but found each other randomly at other times. we had a weird road, and we're best friends now. we're stuck with each other, no matter what. I promised him a long time ago that I'd always be there. it's the only promise I've ever made. I'm proud to say that somehow I've managed to keep it. singing this song with him, it was one of the few times I've ever cried because I was so happy I just couldn't believe or handle it lol. I'm immensely grateful for every screwed up road we've taken since and I wouldn't change a thing, even if things haven't or may never turn out to be exactly how I might have wished. this song means the world to me because I remember our promises and that first day he played it for me every time I hear it. If he ever ends up reading this I'm sure he can figure out it's me. In which case I'd like to remind him that every time we sing this, I mean every word. If he's lost, or afraid or sad or doesn't know where to turn, or even just bored out of his mind.....should he want to, wherever I am there will always be a place for him to go.

I want to thank you, my late daughter loved this song it was her opening song on her "My Space" she passed away the night of Super Bowl Sunday. Leap year 02-04-2008 9 days before her birthday. This song was in the CD made for her memorial service. As was "Big girls don't cry' by, "Over the rainbow" and a song her younger sister wrote and was sang by her now ex-husband. So thank you again.
