Just wondering, why the it/its? seems an unusual character choice to me, is there a reason behind that? I do like the idea of having more non binary characters, though. I'm very much one of the people who supports non binary Rusty as a headcannon.

@Tech Craft yes, especially Regaby in my opinion, there isn’t much backstory to him aside from being a rude LNER B17 Prototype who manipulated Alfred or 98462 in being rude and also had the mindset to be at the top of the ranks on the North Western Railway, my main wonder is what happened to him in between the time of being sent away off the NWR, And the small clip of him in the disuse yard on the Railway of Nowhere episode “The Legend”. We’ll just have to hope and see.

Lucina, every story you write… It has weight to it, and that’s what I love about them. Johnson is such a intriguing and wonderful character, and I can’t wait to see what more they’ve got in store for them!

I watched this 3 times because of how much I enjoyed this. It’s nice to see the second red engine get some more love (I am one of the people who believe there were 2 red engines before James).

Top notch as always! I’m really interested to see what exactly 87546’s plan was and what happened to dig him such a deep hole. Johnson’s anxiety at the end is interesting as well. There’s plenty of hanging threads that seem to be warranting their own stories, and I’m excited to see what you do with them! Cheers!

Love this! The music is amazing and Johnson is already becoming a favorite character!

This was a really great, Chara! There's things I like and dislike about it, but I think you've really played well with telling stories so early in the railway's history. Of course, the real stand-out here has to be Johnson. For what they're meant to be in the larger scope of the Railway Series as "The Red Engine", I think what you've done with Johnson is great. They stand out from the cast as being the only 'normal' engine, content with just doing their work, and I think it's interesting to explore what is easily the closest thing to how a real engine is to the rest of Sodor's characters. That said, there's something I love with how all the other engines know them simply for just doing their work when Johnson has a lot more going on in their inner monologue, and you've really sold it well with how you told it visually - I think there's a pun about a One Track Mind just waiting to happen. They seem to hold a lot of value to the thought of themself being a Really Useful Engine and doing a good job, and I have a feeling that that might hold a lot of story-telling weight down the road. All the other characters in this story are great, and I really enjoyed seeing how things were in the days when Henry was stuck in the tunnel. It's a short period for history, but I think it's something that bears a lot of potential for how it's handled. But there's a problem I have with the story, if only for it's place in the broader sense of your universe, and it begins and ends with Regaby (and partially Gordon but considering he's basically a plot device in the story let's just stick with Regaby). I feel like Regaby's limited by what he can do narratively at this moment in time. He can't be anything more than an asshole to the other engines because he gets sent away for threatening to harm Thomas in "Ripping Up History", but he can't do anything worse than that otherwise it'd ruin "Ripping Up History." And so we come to Gordon... If the incident between Alfred and Gordon is what sets up the events of "Ripping Up History", which I'm inclined to believe, it really needed to be shown. It's essentially the inciting incident to why The Fat Controller catches on to what Alfred and Regaby have been up to, and it's essentially glossed over in this story. If it's that important, it needs to be shown it to the audience, don't just tell them about it. In essence, my problem with this story lies only in it's connection to Ripping Up History because it doesn't really connect to well as a narrative. That being said, I still really love it! It's fun to see the characters interact with each other and it's very heart-warming with how Johnson gets a chance to prove themself. Thomas and Edward are as perfect as can be in their places, Alfred's got the right amount of grey for his role as a secondary antagonist, and Regaby is absolutely perfect for a villain you just love to hate on. You've shown great skill when it comes to writing these stories, and I cannot wait to see what comes next, be it here on Sodor or Railway of Nowhere!

* i understand where you're coming from, and don't really blame you of course, but in my eyes this is johnson's story, not 87546's * 87546 has more in-store, this story is just really the beginning of things with him, as johnson was the main vocal point * i wanted to imply that, yes, the gordon incident was what caused the fat director to get on their case, but i didn't want to take too much focus away from johnson * it's an important moment, sure, but johnson's plot takes priority for a few reasons that will be explained further down the line * thanks for the comments and interest all the same haha

They're up shaping to be an interesting character, and I'm intrigued to see how they'd interact with some of the other engines of the early NWR.

This is just wonderful! The character interactions, the development and a really unique take on the red engine! Really love the use of a modified express theme for them, helps make it even more special! Keep up the good work!

This is one of the best fan videos I’ve seen in years.

I love your storytelling as I am immersed in each one that you show! The characters are understandable in their actions and you really get the audience thinking at some points.

Man, this was well worth the wait! I especially like Johnson's debut, as well as their custom theme. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but couldn't help but feel tense with anticipation considering that 87546 was involved, and that last post-credits scene that he was in hinted that something malicious was cooking in his smokebox. Keep up the amazing work!

Now that was quite an epic video. Those two big blue meanies were something, but Regaby looks like a real nasty piece of work. Johnson looks like a character that shows a lot of promise :) . Congratulations on reaching 7K subscribers :) .

I’m happy Johnson is agender, there’s something about The Red Engine that fascinates me. I’m glad we were able to establish previous plotppoints here and the new facpack for Regaby is very... ominous. It’s also very strange where Johnson likes to wander off to, it’s thoughts. Well that was a pretty neat story. At least SOMEONE is making stories about The Red Engine. Don't some people call Them Eagle? Or am i thinking of someone else? That void Johnson goes to is worrying... Are They alright, psychologically?

Excellent Story all around Johnson sure taught 87546 a lesson of working hard no matter the work I think 87546 or Regaby will have some personal choice words to the others whatever he will say to Johnson I think it wont be polite

The music hits right in the feels, the story is great as always and the voices fit the characters very well.
