An English dance tune in 6/8 time from the Playford Dancing Master, 10th Edition, 1698, which at this time was published by Henry Playford, the younger son and only known surviving child of John Playford (1623-1686). The tune is named after the Red Bull Playhouse, which formerly stood in St. John Street, Churchwell. and apparently was popular in the reigns of James I and Charles I.
