I was the one who made the Carlist content as well as worked on the reconquista in GFM, thanks alot for playing that route, and Im glad you enjoyed it Note: had you conquered the whole empire, you would have gotten precious goods in Madrid. Furthermore, it is highly recommended as the carlists to release the nations you conquer manually in order to form the viceroyalties, as otherwise you need to hold all of their *cores* to form them. This also sheds alot of infamy you used in the reconquest. Any land you dont release becomes colonial automatically.

A necessary reminder that the Netherlands was the first Spanish colony to break free unlike other Spanish posessions in Europe it had its own colonial government in a way similar to Spanish colonies with appointed officials by the Spanish crown

Very disingenuous way of framing it. The Spanish King inherited the Crowns there. The appointees to high office tended to be fellow Habsburgs too. In fact technically the Burgundian branch is what took over Spain.

there is another path for the Spanish Reconquista, if you go with the Christinos instead of the Carlists, insead of restoring the viceroyalties in the americas, you can actually keep them as a province of Spain, and if you had conquered all hispanic capitals before 1860, 20 years later you will get cores on all of Hispanic America, and even moving the capital there
