I can believe he's the Spirit King's essence, can also believe Tokinada's explanation. He's an unhinged psychopath yes, but he's also in the loop of Soul Society's hidden history including the stone tablets that chronicled the sin by the ancestors. His family controlled all information and certainly knew things others would not. It's also why he was set up for death by Yoruichi and Kisuke, he knew too much in addition to his dangerous megolamania.

Interestingly enough, I can't help but notice now that Ichigo's Final Getsuga Tensho technique seems to transform him into a pseudo form of Yhwach himself. We already know that the Man in Black was a manifestation of Ichigo's Quincy powers in the form of Yhwach, which in turn merged with Zangetsu (White) to pass on the technique. And the form Ichigo takes to perform the Mugetsu seems him gaining long black hair, RED EYES, and had pure black Reiatsu billowing out from his body. Does any of this sound familiar?

Actually I think that lchigo doesn’t really have a Shikai/Bankai anymore, his Zanpakuto fused with him permanently like Aizen and whatever form his sword takes is solely dependent on Ichigo himself. BUT Ichigo does have a “final” form of sorts which is basically he has the full ring torso, the hollow horns/sclera/facial markings and Ywach’s hair and red pupils.

People knew that for ages. If you look at Mugetsu, it greatly mimics a Letz Stil that a quincy would use (sacrificing all powers for a huge attack and then losing them after). Go look at Mayuri vs Uryuu and then Mugetsu Ichigo vs Aizen and you'll see how the techniques are mirrors of each other. Ichigo didnt even have a sword in Mugetsu form, he manifested one out of reishi like a quincy would.

Ichigo looks nothing like Yhwach. Multiple characters have long hair like his Vasto Lorde state. Yhwach’s eyes aren’t red and Ichigo’s are orange red is an extension of orange. He wasn’t even using Quincy powers back then it was Shinigami and Hollow and the Hollow side is more dominant than Quincy…

I think Yhwach is a part of the Soul King's soul that is desperate for self preservation and chose to split itself from the Soul King while taking some of SK's powers along with him. I think its a plausible idea considering SK has basically resigned to his fate to be chopped up and being sacrificed to keep the world balanced even tho he is perfectly capable at opposing the Soul Reapers. Also, seeing some body parts of SK gaining their own minds and also powers also supports this idea imo.

It's not only Bazz-B, but Yhwach himself said that he was 200 years old (in reference to Jugram's existence) in chapter 633. Yhwach being the Father of the Quincy has due to with almost every Quincy by that time had a piece of his soul imprinted in them. One of the interesting details that's not talked about is that Bazz-B himself was sort of blue blood (the son of a lord) and perhaps his Quincy lineage predated Yhwach's birth, which may give reasons to why the Black clan were against the idea of Yhwach claiming sovereignty over the Quincies. As far as Yhwach being the son of the Soul King, I figured it's akin to Jesus being both the son of god and the father in biblical scripture. Yhwach was born 1,200 years ago, but because he has a son-father relationship with the Soul King (the true first Quincy), it can almost be said that he's the first Quincy too via a direct inheritance. But if Yhwach is considered the SK's son because he has the Almighty or the power to impart his soul/power onto others, then Jugram can also be said to be the son of the Soul King as well, technically, because he was stated to be born with the same ability to give as Yhwach and as a result he too can use the Almighty to some extent.

In the manga it's said that Ywach as an infant healed others by imparting his soul and when they died gained it back which is how he gained his senses and started to really exist because he was born technically not alive but those who had a piece of his soul embedded in them and had kids were the first Quincies

I believe ywach is the soul kings actual son but when the soul king split the worlds he may have accidentally split his son and ywach can't physically exist in the split worlds and has to have souls go to him because of that

I think imo technically the first Quincy people, are the first ones who took parts of Ywach's soul to heal themselves. But most likely did not have any knowledge how to use any quincy abilities yet since Ywach cant teach them the quincy ways yet since baby Ywach is not even "abled" to basic human senses at that time. It is most highly a fullfledge quincy doing quincy things are sighted when Ywach himself is "complete" enough to be able to teach them.

I was about to say something similar.

There is another possibility ywach is maybe not the first Quincy I know he’s called the progenitor but technically that Could just refer to every Quincy born from his powers/bloodlines after he comes to be. That other special Quincy that were born like him may have just died afterall the type of Quincy he is were considered failures

I think he created the quincy as a baby. When he shared part of his soul with humans they became part quincy or proto quincy. When they reproduced they unintentionally created the first full blooded quincy. This would explain why he is the father of the quincy, why there are multiple quincy families some of royal or common blood, and why the quincy were unaware of Yhwach being their maker. As far as Yhwach being 200 years old I believe it's because when he was actually a baby he wasn't technically alive but in some between state so when he gathered all the necessary organs and vitals for life he fully came alive in the series 200 years before the initial blood war. The quincy song could support this as it took 900 years for Yhwach to regain his pulse after the war and 9 years after that to regain his mind so the process for him to become alive initially could've been very long.

For the 200 year thing. I think that it's possible that he lost memories from himself before the 200 years ago. Like maybe he was killed many times before, and each time took 1000 years for him to revive. Hence the 999 years etc tale. And this time, the Hwhach retained his memories for the thousand year blood arc, because his counterpart, the Hashwald, was alive for all of this 1000 years. Or maybe because just the fact that his original quincies were still alive for all this time, that allowed him to have the means to retrieve his memories.

Besides mimihagi...I wish there was another part of the soul king that was on the shinigami side

I think the chronological aspect can be resolved in-universe by making Yhwach the "son" of the Reio, who instead of being fully immortal is forced to reincarnate retaining all memories of his past lives, including failures and defeats, which drives his quest to destroy the boundaries.

to add another one, i wonder why ishida never use "blut vene" while masaki and ichigo could use it on a whim? as nodt is also seen to be able to use it and yet yhwach said to as nodt "so you survived, huh?" which is confusing, because this might indicates that as nodt is an unecht quincy. so masaki still remain "echt/pure" quincy and pass it to ichigo?? is it because the special gigai between "human and quincy" isshin use? if masaki died because of auswahlen, how come ichigo is still alive?

His appearance in the beginning is just like the overflowing riatsu of soul king so I belive he came into existence by his riatsu

Aura is the Soul King's Soul Chain, I think Yhwach is the Soul King's Soul Booster. That's why his main ability is the power to manipulate the soul. He was just the first to gain sentience, which is why his the strongest. He's basically the elder brother to Gerard, Pernida, Gremmy, and Mimihagi. Even the Almighty is just his Schrift. If he gave the other pieces of the Soul King a Schrift, maybe they'd also gain the Almighty.

I've never looked at Yhwach as just a Quincy, yes he has the abilities of Quincy, but in my opinion, he's a powerful being that possess multiple power sets. I believe the Quincy race existed before him, seeing as though he has the ability to share his soul and then take back that soul with the information from said person, he could've easily encountered a Quincy and obtained that power. Yhwach seems to be an essence of the soul king, or a weaker version of what the soul king is, a powerful being, he just chose a darker path.

I think he a manifestation of some of reio quincy power...and when he absorbs him he gains his full power...when ywach call him father he also could me like how he called ichigo his son..Reid would be his father if he is born from reio power

I have a theory that yhwach and aizen are soul king legs as their goal is correct Reality and run it their way.

I would have liked if they could have worked with the quincies in some way to give them the ability to not just destroy Hollow souls.

what if yhwach is actually something that was born without any purpose? let's say there is a young woman (virgin) in the human world and has a soulking part inside her and that part is soulking b*ll(s), then because of this she is pregnant and contains yhwach. but because her body was not strong enough she died giving birth to her child and that was the cause of Yhwach's condition when he was just born

if there is a "father" of all quincy, is it possible if there is a "mother" of all quincy too? reio's existence itself made me wonder, how and why, a human could "automatically" had such ability in the first place, but at that time, there's a lot of "race" of people with abilities like the ancestor of noble clan and ichibei, so, maybe since the ancient time, "shinigami" and "quincy" might already existed, its confusing that how could one's "soul" become a shinigami/quincy?? yet it was said a plus or rukon gai residence who could feel hungry is able to become shinigami, i bet kubo couldnt decide which is which in tokinada's word, i think, there are quincies that exist before yhwach, and quincies yhwach created himself, the quincies before yhwach somehow is able to gain "shinigami" powers and abilities, and become a transcended being who is reio, who is a human, quincy, and shinigami because the representation of those races had the same enemy which is hollow (tbh i wonder if reio could be hollowfied, but perhaps he's immune to it because he had a human soul). About how there was a Quincy like Haschwalth born every cycle. How do we know that it isn't ichigo in the next cycle. Also it was said wasn't that some powerful Quincy struggled manipulating reishi at first ? Sounds like ichigo. We also assume mayhe ichigos friends were awakened by the Hogyoko. But what if it is Ichigo has the same powers as Yawach. And that Quincy king would return in 1000 years. Yahwach literially got rid of the Quincy and got sealed. Meanwhile ichigo and his son were born containing similar powers of Reio had before separation. So if ichigo is similar to Reio why can't his son be like the Quincy king himself ? Like Yahwach? Also ichigo was born from artificial means. But now Kazui is born of natural birth. Meaning that it could be inherited now. And as far as we know. His offspring could form a new group of people half shinigami. Human shinigami who are able to defend themselves like Hollows. Kazui is also seen opening portals. Maybe when he kills Hollows they aren't sent to the soul society like normal. Making them Quincy like.

i for myself think yhwach soul is a piece of Reio´s soul (would also explain why he would slowly lose his power without replenishing it because his is not a complete soul and can´t hold his powers) , Reio himself put out their to gain its own mind (like many parts of his chop up body did) so that he be later killed, or maybe freed by It? just fan theorie^^

Bruh I think he's the soul king's real son because even if he was the powers manifested why would he call him father? Yachiru is half of Zaraki's powers and she never called him father or anything close and Stark's other half doesn't refer to him as father or brother and the soul king's heart and arms doesn't refer to the soul king as a sibling or father but they follow Ywach and call him your majesty...why would the soul king pieces choose to follow Ywach if he's just another piece of the soul king? Because he's the actual son and it's no telling how long Ywach was stuck in that infant form it wasn't until somebody found him and they started worshipping him after he was able to share a piece of his soul and heal the people that he was able to age and gain his senses... The soul king himself can share a piece of himself and has The Almighty and Ywach can also do it while the soul king's pieces can't. In chapter 588 When first entering the soul palace Haschwalt says to Ywach "this sight must trouble your majesty you have my sympathies".... Why would it trouble him? And Ywach basically says "why would gazing upon a decayed gravestone cause my heart to be moved" meaning he knows what state the soul king is in but why would it cause him grief unless he is the son of the soul king? Not just the powers manifested but the actual son and in chapter 612 or 611 after impaling the soul king he says "farewell spirit king father of mine" it sounding like he knows he's the actual son just as the soul king's heart and arms understand that their the soul king's pieces. I alps think Ywach couldn't stand the fact that his father is mutilated and stuck between life and death which is why he wants to kill him and put the world back to how it was. Ywach doesn't refer to the other Quincy as sin or daughter but maybe as a whole he refer to them as his children but with Ichigo he actually keeps calling him "Son" I think it's something special between the soul king and Ywach and Ichigo (I'm not saying Ichigo is Ywach real son) but their is most definitely some type of special link their.

Mmm, so if he got the heart and one of the arms what if it was because he was the soul king's...uh, seed. And thus technically his Son while still being part of the soul king. Hence why he's able to pass along abilities.

It confused me even more when Mayuri asked Pernida why he’d side with the Quincy and Pernida said he’s always been a Quincy. How is the left arm of the Soul King a Quincy if Yhwach was the first?

Two possibilities. 1: Quincy, as a term or race, is what originated with Yhwach. Meaning Pernida is saying that, by modern terms, the Soul King is a Quincy, and therefore, he's always been a Quincy. 2: Yhwach found and recruited Pernida around the time he gained sentience, meaning Pernida was allied with the Quincy since he was "born"

Maybe the soul king created ywach to one day free him from the state that he was and replace him he forsaa everything with his almighty ability witch i am sure is more powerful than the one ywach has.ywach is the part of the soulking that hates the shinigami and became amost their eternal advesary,thats probabably why quincy are the polar oppossite of shinigami,and they have the power to kill hollows to upset the balance the shinigami were trying to maintain.

yamamoto killed yhwach and he reclaimed his power with the new quincies .i think he has been killed severally before he perfected the sternritters. He is the part of the soul kings essence that controls the flow of souls.He can give life and take it back .

We got the answer in cour 2.

Until the original sin, there were no realms. So the cycle of life didnt really exist in the same way it does now. In the same way I imagine birth would be a difficult concept to conceptualize back then. Its easier for me to think that Yhwach is some sort of avatar or fragment of Reios strength. One idea I have as a possible headcanon is that while the old nobles were dismembering Reio, that Reio purposely allowed a part of him to be removed but that piece would go on to live a simple life in the human world and experience the world the nobles created firsthand. What if Reio feels like his gift wasnt used well and Yhwachs rebellion was only a reflection of Reios resentment? Again, headcanon. Just thought it would be interesting.

Yhwach calls himself the son of the soul king because he is the first being with quincy powers that were directly taken from the soul king and not an offshoot from Yhwach. The first of anything will always claim kinship to its creator.

He is though it would actually makes sense why there were so many Quincy in numbers that rival soul society and noble Quincy families my theory when he was baby fallowers of the soul king touched him and he gave parts of his power and there decedents lived on some parts of the soul society and families in the world of the living

Nnoitra is Yhwach because Nnoitra is Zangetsu Zangetsu means Slaying Moon and Nnoitra, and Nnoitra has the same body as Old Man Zangetsu. Yhwach was a normal Human who basically cleaned himself of his hollow side to become a pure quincy and attain the Almighty and his rejected Hollow remnants became Nnoitra. That's how Ichigo was managed to cut him down with Zangetsu ( " that sword is the real me and I can only get cut down by that sword" OMZ during Bankai training)
