You are correct on everything but the fact I think most people miss is that it's corporations advertising to other corporations... the majority of F1 advertisers are not consumer based or tend to have consumer goods, they are advertising to other commercial entities... so I think Kick and Stake are trying to find advertisers for their sites or investors. It won't gain them legitimacy, most companies do their due diligence so I don't think that is it... but it may also be a statement of supremacy against Twitch and other gambling websites... "join us, look what we can do!"

super intertesting as alwys toni! feels like there was like a couple days after the name was revealed that people were bothered about what they actually were but since then they're just 'that funny team name'. Also had no idea they were directly connected but i guess it makes sense that the swapping between is so seamless

kick as a stream platform is copy and paste from twitch, with hundred of bugs, and you can only stream in hd 5kbps. no 4k, no high bitrate. from a technical point of view, they are 10 years in late.

I love that you go in to these things. I'm a new fan, and like you, I get really really curious about this stuff. I will say, I've learned not many other people share my love of context 😄 So I get why these things aren't the most talked about, but this is exactly the kind of stuff I want to know. Also, what is everyone calling them for short, because I feel stupid even saying their name.

i think crypto and any form of gambeling sponsors should be outlawed. But most sponsors arent advertising to the F1 fan since 99% is irellevant for normal people. Its more like they are advertising to other Buisnesses.sponsers
