The Reason Why Paul McCartney Doesn’t Like Michael Jackson
Музыка
Paul McCartney's dislike for Michael Jackson stems from their complex history involving music publishing rights. In the 1980s, Michael Jackson acquired the publishing rights to many of the Beatles' songs, including those written by McCartney, through his purchase of ATV Music Publishing. This move strained their relationship, as McCartney felt Jackson's acquisition was opportunistic and unfair.
McCartney had originally advised Jackson on the benefits of investing in music publishing, but when Jackson outbid him for the rights to the Beatles' catalog, it created tension between the two artists. McCartney reportedly felt betrayed, as he saw the songs as part of his creative legacy and was unhappy with Jackson owning them.
Their relationship further deteriorated when Jackson refused to sell back the publishing rights to McCartney, despite McCartney's attempts to buy them. McCartney's resentment towards Jackson for profiting off his work without his consent or control has contributed to the strained dynamic between them over the years.
This clash over music publishing has left a lasting mark on their relationship, with McCartney harboring negative feelings towards Jackson for his actions in the music industry.

He doesnt hate him hes said in multiple interviews he loved him
Macca was offered the Beatles catalog 1st when it was to go on sale in 1984. MJs lawyer approached Macca's lawyer before making an offer: MJ made an offer only when Macca's lawyer confirmed that neither Macca nor Yoko would buy the catalog. Macca simply lied his aß off about this, claiming MJ somehow went behind his back. Even his own lawer confirmed MJs version was the truth. Btw. Macca also lied about the Nike ad case, too. Let's be clear about that, too. Macca has issues with the truth and facts when it comes to his bad decisions or MJ. also. Macca never seemed to have complained when Holmes áCourt bought ATV. OR when Sony kicked him out a few years ago. His only problem was with MJ. Ain't that interesting? Nobody ever mentions the 2 other bidders: Virgin REcords and MCA Records. So nobody has an issue with THEM buying the catalog? When it goes to a musician and not to some businessmen buying it, it's a problem, huh? Or it's just because it's MJ? Did you actually believe this "MJ got the idea of buying publishing rights from Macca" nonsense? MJ created his 1st company of publishing rights in 1977, for the songs of the Jacksons during their contract to CSB Philadelphia Intl, it was called Peacock Productions. The publishing rights to their songs went to this company right away. MJs fame has not much to do with the ATV catalog, don't be ridiculous. Thriller was published in 1982. 3 years before he bought ATV. Nobody in the world of music had more fame and prestige than MJ in the mid 80s. ATV brought him a bad reőp, mainly because the british media and Macca made a tantrum about the ATV purchase. ATV is MUCH MUCH more than the Beatles catalog. Do you understand the size of that catalog at all? Beyoncé, Eminem, Shakira, Lady Gaga, some of Elvis, Queen's catalog, Amy Winehouse, Babyface's catalog, Berry Gordy's catalog (the Motown, with the Jackson5 songs), Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Ed Sheeran, Ennio Morricone, Marvin Gaye, the Isley Brothers, AC/DC, Depeche Mode.... Pharrell Williams's catalog, Neil Rogers' catalog... just a few... Most of which were bought by MJ. There's a reson why its worth was about 2 billion when MJ died. and NOT because of the Betles. And yes. most of his problems during came from the fact that he owned this very valuable catalog. even behind the child abuse cases. all of them occured, when Sony wanted to push Mj out of his contract. most probably his death included. Men had been killed for MUCH less than 2 billion... This video was worthless. Really. Another tabloid and Macca-nonsense based collection with a narrative based on zero fact check.

There is literally a clip in this video with McCartney saying exactly what happened and verifying our research 😂 so it’s hardly ‘worthless’

@@BehindTheMelody_ There are sources OUTSIDE of Macca's very much one sided version. Do you understand he's one of the parties INVOLVED? He def isn't objective. Just one example: Zack O'Maily Greenburg's book, titled Michael Jackson, Inc. He is a writer for FORBES. Def not involved. Learn to make difference between a neutral source and the one-sided version of ONE of the parties. Notice: you put ZERO quotes by MJ into your video, though the whole video is pointed at him. You made zero effort to show HIS SIDE of the story. As ALL STORIES have at least 2 sides. Now you wonder why you believed Macca's version, after looking up only his version... ... Mysterious... Again: it's a worthless video.

This is a very informative comment and has gave us something to think about going forward - but I think it’s a bit disrespectful calling it worthless. I appreciate your input, we will take it on board - thanks.
Paul never said he hated Michael Jackson, He got disappointed with him, for sure and for good reason. But hate is a very stong word that Paul never said. Another video changing the stories.
Yoko caused this to happen because when the songs were up for purchase, she told Paul that they could get the publishing for a smaller price. Big mistake.

We didn’t know that. Thanks for the info!
I believe that Michael Jackson even Paul McCartney that he's going to purchase the Beatles music 🎶 published recorded songs . So Michael Jackson is not Paul McCartney enemy 🤔 , but a competitor in the music industry. I don't understand 😕 why Paul McCartney and the other 3 Ex- Beatles didn't themselves take care of their own music publishing music? Just my opinion folks 🤷.
I always thought Jackson was such good friends with Barry Gibb to do the same thing to The Bee Gees. But having already had that happen to them and Barry fighting a legal battle to get them back, they always protected their music. Their catalog was sold only when Barry and the other heirs were ready to do it, years after the death of both Maurice and Robin.
Pau released a new version of their duet Say Say Say and dedicated it to Michael after his death. And btw. Stella McCartney and Paris Jackson are still working together 🫶🏽 there‘s no place for hate!
when someone Sell's Loans or Gives Away an item or anything else, it's out of their control as to what becomes of it.
he sold them to make money.
Paul is very old and MJ is dead. Paul should donate 70% of his money to the poor ,homeless , jobless and waspi women. You can die anytime so why hold on to your billions of dollars ? Let the world remember you as a kind and generous old man.

He is a kind and generous man. He donates to more than 100 charities, he just doesn't flaunt it. He helped found the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts at his and George's old grammar school and John's old art school. He has a large family, do you think they are all rich and shouldn't inherit from him? He isn't responsible to give his wealth to anyone he doesn't want to. If you want to call for a celebrity to give all their money away talk to Yoko Ono, it was her and John Lennon talking about no possessions. Brightest Blessings of Love and Light

@@patriciaedwards5183 He should also remember people sleeping on the streets are very hungry abd have no roof over their heads and do not belong to establish charities. These people usually have no friends and they can be you and me ,the unkowns. Even the government pretends not to know they are there ,just ask multi millionaire sunak. Have you fed or donate 5% of your mthly salary to any unknown poor ,jobless and homeless human beings ? Billionaires usually forget poverty exists .
Hard to follow the story with that annoying back ground music 🙄
Huh
🤔
Actually can't believe people are defending MJ. "On a legal technicality" 🤓☝️
Jackson dubbed himself the king of pop. ELVIS' DUBBED HIM THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. BIG DIFFERENCE.

He didnt dub himself anything. Elizabeth Taylor said it in the late 80s "in my estimation, the true king of pop, rock and soul" at some awards ceremony. Last time i checked 'Thriller' is still the biggest selling album of all time. What is Elvis' biggest selling album? Name a well regarded Elvis album. Just one.
