Somewhat related side story: I used to teach make-your-own-pizza lessons at a rural bakery in Asia. Quite often, flies and bees would find their way into the kitchen. Instead of swatting and killing them, I'd turn off the lights and open the door or a window. The bug(s) would fly out nearly instantly as those were the brightest light sources.

I used this knowledge once to get a wasp out of my class because people were freaking out. It really works. I'm happy scientists finally discovered the reason insects behave in such a way.

My grandfather put a yellow colored light in and outside of the garage . There were never any bugs flying around them .
