KZread is a place to express your feelings and upload what you want others to see. Money and fame is just an added bonus. You should always upload whatever you want to, no matter how many views or money it generates. Thank you potato for doing that, and I also think that the content on specular was getting a bit dry but now your content is amazing as always. great vid

5:54 couldn’t have said it better myself, in addition, we both have grown up over the years and our goals have changed individually. I think it’s time to let Specular rest for good 🙂

im very happy for you and moving past that channel, doing what you want and having fans for you being yourself rather than for what you upload and not care for you as a person is so motivational for other youtubers as well to motivate them to do what they want and to actually be happy uploading and recording videos

I really respect that you do these videos because you enjoy them rather then to get views. I have always felt like a video is better when the person making it is having fun while making it. Moving away from clutching and montages has definitely made you a better creator (In my opinion).

i found this vid kinda inspiring, i've sorta surrounded myself with some people who think the only way to grow a channel is upload a sspecific sorta content, but i don't really always want to do that. i upload whatever i feel like and try to gain a fanbase that's there to watch me, regardless of what i'm doing. yeah my channel might be small right now, but it's growing pretty decently and i'm super happy with what i'm doing, and the small fanbase i've acquired rn is he best i could ask for honestly

I remember how I started watching your videos it was thru the Specular Channel and I kinda Remember when you used to upload some really great content Which I would watch when I woke up Happy that you addressed it in a very chill way and I really dont care where you post your content until it is good which it is always and will be good

I think you did make the right decision as everyone is entitled to only do what they want to on this platform and I think that if you want to be known for you, you should have the right to do so. I think that moving away from a negative community and moving to a better place is also promoting positivity and I believe that doing this is important and now you provide to the community in great ways and in positive ways and I am a huge fan of that so thank you potato.

i have been getting demotivated myself recently and I think it might be do to some of the reasons you mentioned, like I also upload block clutches and stuff but for some reason i dont know why but im demotivated, the problem being, I dont think that I will grow as a youtube if I switch to comentary and not even sure if ill like it, I really would like to grow as a youtuber but im out of ideas... :C

very insightful vid, we completely support your decision to just upload on specularpotato! i just wanted to address you of something going on in the duels community (you may have already heard). botting has been a problem for a long time now, but it’s been increasingly rapidly. the majority of the classic weekly lb are botters. a couple botters are going to be hitting lifetime soon, and the staff won’t do anything about it. i know your feelings about the classic community, and i know it’s been toxic in the past, but right now the whole community is uniting. we need influencers and people with connections to step up and address the admins. you are an inspiration of mine and i’ve been looking up to you for a while, and i simply want to make a change in the community. i completely understand if you don’t want to join, but the offer is there, and trust me when i say we need you! please at least consider joining the official classic duels discord server, it would be so influential and beneficial for the community, and honestly for all of hypixel. sorry for writing a whole essay but we really need you. anyways, i hope you have a good day!

so to all the people out there who think I'm going to start KZread do it, but get a real job first to be safe and if KZread doesn't indulge then work, even if it's boring. this is my advice because living with only youtube is getting harder and harder. Btw i am a swiss who really loves and celebrates your videos

I agree with this like staging and drag clicking clutches almost require no skill and you need certain mice to do it. I am a jitter main and clutching is hard I have watched your content since 20k on the specular and while I do miss it I would rather you enjoy it

I respect your opinion, and yes the mouse point is valid, but no drag clicking clutches do not require “no skill”… it’s still a definite skill and difficult to do well. It’s a different kind of skill so I think everyone just has to respect both sides of the spectrum and not dismiss either type of clutching as worse than the other :)

Just so you know, you created one of the best, wholesome and beautiful communities ever in minecraft history. Because your videos are mostly based of you and your personality and not your type of gameplay, is that why you could even make a fortnite video that didnt do as bad as it would if another creator did something like that. I completely agree with you, "block clutching" and "block extensions" are different things, people don't understand and mix it up, "block clutches" are like you tell and then you clutched while "extensions" are people who get hit by a bot and and long drag click 25-40 cps and clutch 30 blocks
