If you think about it. All the original X-Men are off the board. Beast is in the wind, cyclops is captured, Jean is dead, Angel is death, and ice man is holding on by a thread to his consciousness

Warren could transform between his forms well before 2016 series. Started doing this during Kyle/Yost 00s X--force series.

OG Angel had enhanced strength, speed, agility, sight and lightweight (but durable) hollow bones as well ad flight. He was basicallyflying Captain America and no scrub.

Speaking of Death, why is Gambit always left out? I see Colossus in X-Force, Nightcrawler, everyone but Gambit. They missed a golden opportunity to revive him with his full powers and Death powers.

There two more who have been Death Logan and Akihiro though I don't think Logan got an upgrade like th rest he just got Adamantium back if I remember right

The Last X book I read was Mutant X. I'm here for Havok! Hoping to see him do something and get a better costume! Really enjoying this book despite not knowing any of the reference.

I've always liked Angel since Wolverine and the X-men, Liam O'Brien made it easy to get attached

I think it was the X-Force series right after Messiah Complex where Bastion and others took Warren and activated the "Death" gene (or Apocalypse Gene--I can't remember what it was called). They wanted the use of the techno-organic nature of his wings. This eventually played out in full during Second Coming. This is what changed him back to Archangel since returning to his Angel form yeeears before. And since then, he's been going back and forth from Angel to Archangel with different writers doing different things for different reasons 😂

Actually it was Sabertooth who caused the catalyst for Warren's change back to human the first time. The death seed was always active. Warren just didn't know it or understand it. The writers have been consistent with him through the years.

Anyone remember when warren was a crazy televangelist flying around in the sky naked exposing himself to everyone? because I remember the fuck out of that shit.

Warren can’t catch a break. Lol. I like this book. It’s nice to get a wider variety of characters outside of fan favs and a darker tone.

They have the potential to be a good comic. A lot of these stories marvel has been writting in recent times have been trash and the artwork is definitely not good. It’s the art that originally drew me as a youngster the X-men drew by Jim Lee

They should really make a significant difference between Warren's two forms. While his techno-organic winged, Archangel form should be combat-oriented, his feather-winged Angel form should have the healing blood (which works on everyone, just more effectively on compatible blood types, & the best on blood types which match his own).

Uh...what. It just works that way overall. His "feathered" wings are no longer truly feathered. They are techno organic. Warren is empowered by a life and death seed and is a true heir to Apocalypse.

While Warren's "Archangel" form should be more for combat, his "Angel" form should be for healing (himself & others). That way there'd be a reason to transform between the 2 (like Emma & her diamond form). I already know about the T.O. wings & death seed things, but that's irrelevant to my point.

Seeing how many new mutants were created post-Claremont era, it's fair to think the cooler codenames were already taken by the veterans so any newbie had to be satisfied with the scraps. Look no further than Negasonic Teenage Warhead as an example.

she also used limbo magic. her telekinesis only kept him from bleeding out while she cast the spell, so either he's fully alive or he's undead

While these stories are interesting, i hope they fix Krakoa because this new aimless status quo will just lead to stagnation like it did before Krakoa

He basically directly left for Ammenth to be with his family after X of Swords. And that has been his situation for 3 whole years, meaning he missed out on: - Every single Hellfire gala to celebrate Krakoa's creation - Trial of Magneto - The Scarlet Witch creating the Mutant Heaven - Onslaught's attack on the island - The end of the Crucible practice he put in place - The creation of the first ever mutant religion - The entire Inferno storyline - Every single Quiet Council election - The Great prison break of every mutant "criminal" who's been locked up in the Pit - Orchis terraforming the Astral Plane - AXE - Dark Web - Margali Szardos's magic illness spreading in mutantkind - Sins of Sinister (where he's never once mentioned) - The Quiet Council's backstabbing, shenaniganery and overall incompetence after he left - The huge unmonitored chaos most of the villains who first came with him on the island caused on the civilian mutants - The Krakoa gates being bad at keeping humans and Orchis agents out - Krakoa welcoming human citizens (Kingpin, Shogo and Kyle) - Every single yearly Orchis attack - Krakoa's Fall And these are just the things that first came off the top of my head. The most recent information we've had on his whereabouts was in "Heralds of Apocalypse" which came out in June of this year and that's about it.

She's Jean Grey's clone so yes, they have the same power range. She doesn't use her mutant powers that often tho which makes her theoretically an Omega level Mutant but in practicality an average one.

This issue has him written rather well... Compared to everything else he's been a part of these past years on Krakoa if I were to be honest. If it's a fight you're looking for tho, the next issue has him on the cover about to fight Archangel in his Death form. It might be an accurate teaser.

Archangel and Psylocke were the two mutants Maggott met that recruited him into the X-Men. Japhet values Warren for the reason.

I like the story, but the art? This is even worse than Rob Leifeld used to be. It looks the artist was drunk and in a hurry. Sorry to be a negative nancy, but imo this is maybe the worst I have seen in a Marvel comic.

I agree that the art style isn't that great for an average superhero series however, since it's supposed to be a horror story, I think it does fit the mood the book aims for.

I understand that they wanted to go for an art style better fitted for a horror story (since it's what Dark X-Men is) but Jonas Scharf's work looks like an unpolished Mike Mignola and slightly too obscure in its shading to understand what's been drawn. It would have been amazing if Mike Mignola worked on Dark X-Men as an artist seeing how he has experience in both horror and X-Men.

the reason: its his most popular form and Marvel really needs to as much bang for your buck they can get.
