The Really Big Wah Pedal Shootout!

Музыка

So many wah pedals, so many choices. Which is our favorite, and which is yours? Jet, Tyler and Jason put 11 pedals to the test in our first ever bracketed competition to determine the best wah! Using a Strat, a Les Paul, and 2 Mesa Boogie amps, the guys take the time to carefully listen and test each pedal. They give 'em the beans, the biscuits, the peppers, and the onion in an all out effort to figure it all out, so you don't have to! Come along for a lot of fun and funk, rock 'n roll, and general six string wailing as we do the musical experiment the guitar world has waited too long to hear. The test involves boutique, vintage, mini, limited edition, and budget pedals . . . and the winner might surprise you.

The Fulltone sounded light years better than the Morley 🧐

Completely agree. I don't like either of them tbh but the Morley was pretty bad.

This was a real ear opener for sure, people love to hate the Vox v847-a but it does sound really good, and I picked it also at the end, go figure. I thought for sure the Jam would win, so I was a bit shocked at the outcome. Thanks so much for doing this shootout, I have decided the Vox v847a stays on my pedal board for now.

You are super welcome. It was a shocker for us as well. Hype and marketing affect so many of our decisions, and our predisposition to put boutique gear above others is hard to avoid, so it's nice to let a blind test make the final call sometimes. We're keeping the Vox as our main wah for now too. Thanks for watching!

no disrespect but hard to hear...plus coulda used different play styles, like partial chords further up, on single notes- more pedal fwd, maybe some muted wackas

With so many to compare I understand your not being able to cover them all but the Dunlop MC404 CAE really should have been one of the included, it was one of the most popular, highly praised wah wah pedals at one time.
