@@Meme_are_funny not really. shell shock never acknowledges u.s evolvement, because it takes place during 1914-18 when it was only the European powers in both the Triple Entente (France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy) and the Central Powers ( Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Italy). Although they did join in 1917, one year after the war, shell shock and quiet on the western front (which was an actual book from a German WW1 Veteran), mainly focus on the European powers.

People don’t respect those who fought in war, no matter which side they were on. Seeing your friends/partners die in your eyes while killing countless people while also worrying the fact that you have a chance of getting shot and dying or loosing your body parts is so scary. But they are people who are willing to volunteer for those kinds of things. “Once he goes to war he isn’t the same person you once knew….” Some of these comments make me sad, I never said that war Is needed all I said is that alot of veterans just do not get respected. Of course they are some bad veterans like German nazi officers or such but not all of them wanted to fight and a lot of soldiers were forced to do what they were told.

And the fact of the matter is that on the 3rd of september 1939 Britain and france declared war on germany as a response to the invasion of poland, they did however not declare war on the soviet union for some reason, i'll let you guess why. So technically it was the allies that started the war while hitler had a peace treaty with stalin

Same, when I played it first time, there wasn't hell happening (it was wave 1) and I thought my character looks goofy because of nose and ears. Then when I saw this video, I played it again, wave 2 prob. Later hell was happening EDIT: When I was on wave 5 my friend joined but he only said "oh my...." and immidentally left

If war in a video game looks like this I can imagine how it looks irl

i remember seeing the video and i remember this quote exactly. And this is just true, war doesn’t make anything, it destroys a part of the many men that go to war, and no matter what happens, everyone loses.

I feel extremely sad for all ww1 vets could not imagine the trauma they went through and the thing that really gets me is that there home is no longer there home they feel different and think there home is where they fought

@@average_janitor367 true, but it is trauma that soldiers faced as you said, but you forgot a very important detail, while they faced so much trauma, their eyes looked... dead, and like they were staring into your soul, so your eyes become different.

Shell Shock got its name because people didn't know what PTSD was. This is the first case where strong, brave soldiers, not just the nervous ones, could break down in combat because of the death toll and the brutality.

As someone who tried to hold their breath for too long underwater and pass out but somehow gain consciousness and swim up i love this

For some reason that made me remember that one show called Happy tree friends, I remember that there was one character that has PTSD from war memories, he was called Flippy I guess.
