Pep Guardiola, has changed the sytle of football played in English league. Everyone of his players can use both feet, and have balance on the ball. We are witnessing some of the greatest football ever played in the premiership. Manchester City playing under Pep, are very deserving of winning the championship this season. Great interview.

I remember when Pep first came to England and imposed his style of play. The first year was a learning curve, and all the "expert" pundits declared you can't play that type of football in England. 6 years later and he's changed the way English football is played for the better.

"PERSPECTIVE!!". There's a very rare and different breed of brilliant managers (very few by the way....i think I count Pep and Klopp amongst these few), who have a very different approach to football. They are exceptional managers, technically and tactically, HOWEVER, the one thing that I have noticed whenever I listen to or watch their interviews (after a win or a loss), is they talk about "how there are more important things in life, than football". That has always stood out and impressed me lots. I'm quite old school and Arsenal's invincibles were my years but you get the feeling that managers like Wenger, Ferguson, Mourinho, lived and breathed football and almost took it way too seriously.

The amount of respect, admiration, and belief I have in Pep defies reality. I'm obsessed with Pep as a manager and human being, his perceptive on football and life is enlightening. I can tell why footballers and his staff never get tired of him, there's something about him that's intoxicating, I'd genuinely run myself into the ground for him if I ever worked with him in anyway. What his accomplished at City is so undervalued and celebrated, his created a team that is one of (if not the best in the world) the best and season upon season he continues to pioneer and innovate. It's insane. People will speak about his spending but every club spends however not every club succeeds and wins. His not often even bought players who'd be categorized as the best in the world instead his made the players the very best in the world. You look at how much players improve under Pep and it's almost surreal. United have spent so much money to go nowhere and even my club ARSENAL have failed until recently to invest in players who had potential and actually went on to not only reach their potential but exceed it. People who question Pep I believe are insane, no questioned Ferguson yet people question the man who made light work of Fergies United in two UCL finals. Twice the so called greatest manager was run ragged by Pep. Even the prem will never be the same, Pep has broken so many records that even Wengers Arsenal, Fergies United, and Joses Chelsea failed to even come near. It's a delight to watch Peps teams play and Ifeel ARSENAL have a golden egg with Arteta who learnt from Pep because Pep really knows what he's talking about when he speaks about how great Arteta is or when he describes how tough Liverpool are as opponent's. I hope one day I can meet Pep to pick his brain and get to spend time with him, I feel he'd change my life and just blow my mind, I mean his teams football have me fixated and discombobulated already. No matter what people say Pep is the greatest manager ever for me and I hope to continue to see him in the Prem hopefully Arteta gets ARSENAL at a level where we can challenge City directly for titles and really give Pep a new team to worry about besides Liverpool.

What's absurd and surreal is how you talk about two games in ucl and evaluate the greatest manager of all time. I wonder why he has not won another ucl trophy since then. Let me guess, is it because he only likes to do light work of Fergies team and tries to play genuis and bottled it so many times against all other teams for the last 10 yrs. Think about that next time you mention the God of football who transformed mediocre, untalented players to geants of the game and dominated the EPL for 27 yrs and would have added two other UCL titles and would have had 4 in total more than any other coach in history if it wasn't for that midget and midfielders barcelona had in those two finals no thanks to ur boldy's tactics. Next time you want to worship worship a God who created greatness out of nothing and not with an open cheque book and oil money 💰💵

I love how he deflects the credit to his players and their ability/character and downplays the accoladesthat is given to him. He has had amazing players over his coaching career and has always coached at top/rich clubs. But he is obviously a very cerebral guy and is able to consistently bring the best out of his team. Managing those huge players and egos and forming them into consistent winning teams, is a credit to his communication and man-management. @thuo1000

It is not just the quality of the players but how the manager can improve the players and get that quality out of them. Look at the players Pep brought at City. Players like Cancelo, Bernardo silva, Mahrez, Rodri all struggled in their first season at City. People were questioning the purchase of a player like Cancelo. The media were speculating that he would be returned back to Juventus because of his struggles in his 1season. Look at him now. Similar case to bernardo silva. Wasn't Kdb a Cheslea reject? Look at him now under Pep. Walker is another player who most people doubted. The media kept saying that he would not fit into Pep's philosophy. They kept comparing Walker to the likes of Dani Alves and Philip Lahm who Pep managed at Barcelona amd Bayern Munich respectively. Look at Walker now and how vital he is for this City team. Rodri struggled so much in his 1st season. The media, again, questioned his purchase. Look at him now. Sterling, despite his lack of form this season has been instrumental for City's success under Pep. Foden has developed so good under Pep's leadership. So a manager needs to have that skillset of bringing the best out of players. Look at man utd for example. They have good quality players but lack of proper coaching, player power etc has been their downfall.

@@shaunaqpaul3078 it’s so true. You can see the difference when PSG had Poch and when they had Ancelotti/Tuchel. They were far better even tho their team was less expensive. Same goes for Man Utd. People don’t realize how money doesn’t always mean much, half of Man City players weren’t even that famous before they came to Man City. You can see how much better Pep has made every player in Man City, unlike PSG they don’t just buy stars. Look at what Pep did at Barcelona, he literally made them the greatest team ever, obviously he had good players before he got there, but he made them way way better. Implemented tiki-taka and kinda created false 9. One of the greatest coaches ever IMO. At Barcelona he won 3 prime La Ligas in a row, including 99 points and 96 points, and he gave instructions to make Barcelona get 100 points in 2013. Real Madrid literally had 96 and 93 points in those seasons. And now at Man City he has won 4 prems in 5 years, including 100 points, 98 points, and 93 points. Liverpool had 97 points and 92 points in those seasons. He has won the treble, Sextuple, and domestic treble.

Utd fan btw, love pep Guardiola and love hearing different perspectives on his coaching in the comments. Unfortunately 1/10 comments are in every video is some liverpool supporter complaining about the fact that pep had money and klopp didn't, but the fact of the matter is klopp had to go to a team without money because he hadn't proved he could use it, pep spent years at barca proving he was capable of greatness with a budget to allow him to, so instead of proving he could do it without money he proved he could do it in a harder league and definitely shouldn't be criticised for it all he did was show what he is capable of on a bigger scale in a better league. Klopp on the other hand came from dortmund after bringing a team that clearly wasn't the best in the league to possibly the best in the league which is what he had done for Liverpool proving he was capable of doing it on a bigger scale in a better league so the budget never made a difference, they both do their own thing better than anyone in their leagues so stop comparing them and just appreciate what the do separately because neither one could do the other ones job until PROVEN differently

The achievements of City and Pep together are undoubtedly incredible. However, it is also true that they have repeatedly tried and failed in the biggest competition in Europe, UCL. EPL is probably the toughest league however the disparity among the squads are also evident. When push comes to shove in that particular competition, where you need that extra bit of intangible; they lack that, they probably will continue to lack that bit. That is why they will keep winning the league, probably will monopolize the English game but in UCL it will remain a target.

It is the single biggest competition a team can win.. again and again and again 100 meter sprints are not considered in high regard when compared with marathons. (athletically speaking) Any team like PSG or Bayern where league titles are pretty much guaranteed can shoot for UCL every season. Madrid did it for decades when La Liga was nothing but a 1 horse race Sir Alex, Pep, Klopp these folks target the league more than any other cup and occassionally they`d shoot for UCL .

If they claim the CL at some point that doesn't make Pep a great manager because he's already won it at Barca and that already makes him a great manager. Also, the fact that Pep could have managed any club in the world and has decided to stay in the PL shows that he relishes the rivalry with Liverpool and Klopp. They both relish the challenge. He's said it on many occasions that Liverpool is the hardest team he has ever faced and you can tell how much it means to him. If not for Pep Liverpool whould have had three PL titles by now and although it hurts losing those titles by such small margins we know that if we beat Pep's City then we are the best.

I'd like to remind you that LIverpool bought the most expensive goalkeepper and defender in the PL. LIverpool also has a big cheque book, like United...

I don't think for a second anyone thinks it's only because of the money. Pep is phenomenal he's revolutionized football but having all that money to buy the best players obviously makes a massive different. Look at Liverpool, they spent that Coutinho money on 2 massive transfers because klopp realized they couldn't compete with spending

He's spent 5 x what Klopp has, a club with a fanbase similar to oldham. Basically Oldham with stolen oil money.
