In this interview, I chat to Glyn Thomas who founded the Rhondda/Trealaw cross.
On the 29th of September 2005, a white cross appeared on Trealaw mountain in the Rhondda, South Wales.
It has become a famous landmark and since then, there have been many different stories of why it was built.
Glyn has finally decided to be interviewed after all these years and you get to hear the real story from the man himself.
For anyone associated with the Rhondda, this interview is not to be missed.
If you want to learn and read more, you can also buy “The Rhondda Cross”; an excellent book written by Phil Rowlands.

In loving memory of Lee Bridge who sadly passed away since our recording.
Rest In Peace

Great to get the history of the Trealaw Cross from the Maker Glyn Thomas. Sorry to hear of the passing of Lee Bridge, who was clearly playing such an important role in it's maintenance. Rest in Peace.

The view from the back of my grandparents' house in Tonypandy looked out onto the cross - this has brought back some lovely childhood memories, thanks so much!

I moved to the valley in 2007, seen the cross often, thought it would have been there for a very long time. Thanks for answering a bunch of questions :)
