An important note must be made: the drug cartels referred to at around the 3 to 4 minute mark during the Puig segment are Mexican drug cartels, not Cuban. Puig did not go the traditional route from Cuba to South Florida, he went through Mexico to get to the US. Organized crime simply does not exist to the level of drug cartels in Cuba. Just gotta clarify that because people might get confused and think Cuba is worse than it really is.

@@arktzen Better than USA?? Are you drunk? People in cuba risk their life going into the Sea trying to get out of Cuba, they die in the hospitals everyday because there is no medicine, Police abuse is wayyy more common than in the USA, and there is no such a thing as a "trial to a police officer". Furthermore, saying that there is no racism is DUMB, there are racist people in EVERY country, nevertheless, have in mind that it still common in Cuba to say things like "Make sure you marry a white person to better the race".... In prison you are basically a slave, and you have no rights whatsoever. Furthermore, In Cuba you can not travel to other countries without permission from the government, (that will deny you almost every time), you dont have a right to own property, The education system is so ineffective, that if you study for 8 years and become a Doctor, you would still make less money than the guy who sells churros in the street... There is no food in the stores, and when there is, its unaffordable unless you have family in the US that sends you money. Hospitals are so terrible, that you are more likely to die from an infection than from your illness, that is because of the terrible sanitary conditions, since there are no people to clean the hospitals because they pay is so low that they prefer to do something else (like sell churros)... You should know that there is no freedom of speech, if you speak ill of the revolution or the president, you may go to jail. Farmers can not own the land they work, the cows they nurture or the crops they grow... It is all the governments property and they can come and take it in any moment without retribution, regardless of how much you worked on the farm. Blackouts are common around the country, at least once a week, and the water service stops in most of the country at least every three days. I could go on, but I encourage you to go and live in Cuba for three or four months, and then you will see which country is better.
