Yesterday I went to to the park, I knew that it'd be seven (the time I read my Bible everyday) by the time I got there **so I brought it.** When I sat down and started reading, there was a fly that came and was buzzing around the table, it even landed on my Bible at one point. I tried killing it twice but it just kept coming back. After a while, I took my stuff and moved away from it. I was able to read the amount of chapters that I had planned and that fly only deterred me from doing it any sooner because I didn't move away sooner. The message God gave me from this is that you should always prioritize Jesus/God. You always have the choice to move away from the distractions that impede on your time/journey with Christ.

First God created Humans and we sinned against him and since God is right and just he can't let sin go unpunished and we deserve so he sent his son to die for all our sins and take our help punishment for us and if you trust that the only reason you go to heaven u will be saved. By faith u are saved not of works Ephesians 2:8-9 that being said tho that doesn't mean go sinning like crazy cuz u know ur going to heaven u should still try to live for the Lord. But let me be clear the only reason we are going to heaven is because of what Jesus did for us that alone saved us so trust in him😊

I try to watch three Christian videos on my recommended, three Christian shorts and one page of the Bible every day and night, but I still struggle with distractions and worthless things, my parents (who are also Christian) say that it’s ok to like tv shows and franchises as long as I put God first but near the end of Ephesians it says to not take part in worthless things, and I know we can’t be perfect, but how close to being perfect do we need to be to be saved and not go to the bad place, and it says that whoever believes in me and does my will (the commandments) shall go to HEAVAN but the person who Jesus said to depart from and never knew him, wouldn’t he believe in God and do the commandments? And Overall I am just so so so SO confused and tired someone please pray for me, I want my family and me to be saved God bless this comment section 🙏😊💪😇😁🙌✝️😀➕♥️🔥

@natedaboi1608 He sees your heart. All we can do is all we can do. It's a journey. That's why they call it faith. I understand confusion (and frustration). I try to just rest with the Holy Spirit. The tingle in the spine. Redirect thoughts to peace love and gratitude. If there is an element of worship to your everyday life, you feel closer to God. Thanking, asking for help, sitting in peace, sharing joy, seeking refuge. I rely heavily on listening to the Gospel on audiobook. But there is no substitute for sitting down studying the word, which I am working on, lol

That’s good! Sometimes instead of watching “normal videos” you can watch Cristian videos like watching people delivering other people and people preaching in the streets. Before you go to bed, you can read the Bible. While you’re in the shower, you can listen to worship or pray! When you wake up obviously do it. Sometimes throughout the day you should read your Bible and some worship again!

I try to get up early and pray, read the Word, and have quiet time with God. But sometimes it feels really repetitive and idk if I am getting what I should be. But I HAVE seen God in my life, and I will not let satan convince me that it's worthless or that I do not believe.

I have just finished up reading Exodus, and there was a lot more than I thought in there. Like making the tabernacle, or the lampstand or even the different types of atonement or offerings. It's interesting too that the tabernacle was built out of acacia wood, which is stronger than oak. I am learning more about God every day, and I do feel distractions every single day. I asked God to cut out everything that didn't glorify Him, and He has answered.

It actually should be discussed more because I think often times it's expectation vs reality and ppl mistake desires of heart scripture as well as following, when ppl want to serve they mistakenly willy nilly ask for gifts of spirit. Like if you want prophecy and God says no you not a prophet, you just ain't getting it, and then ppl get dissapointed when don't get stuff. So actually it deserves discussion way more than casual drop of the most cited scripture

I felt this and I felt the conviction. It’s very hard for me to detach from what I used to know and my old life and all the things that I was familiar with, found comfort with. It hurted when you said “because you don’t find value in it,” cause I tell God I love Him and that I know I do but it’s hard showing it and really aligning my actions with my words. Sometimes I feel like my words are empty shells and there so much history and a deep rooted reason for that but I just don’t know. I feel like for a very long time, no one has ever taken me seriously as a person or I’ve been a very misunderstood person, misunderstanding myself as well that I just don’t know how to really give my all or feel like giving my all to God because when I did to a human being, somehow it was used and taken advantage of. I know God is not like man and sometimes I remember that and when I do I try to be a better child of God by living in a way that pleases the Lord but when then sometimes who God is and how human beings are can get a little blurry for me and I start to think that His love is conditional for me when I know that is all lies. I wouldn’t 100% say it’s because I don’t find value in it but because of this fear. This fear that I’m not worthy and that I’ll never change so why even bother yk. Like I could go through temptation and fall right back into that one sin that seems to be the loudest compared to my other sins and afterwards I’ll feel so ashamed and guilty for hurting someone who all He did was love me through and through and saved me at that. He was there when no one wasn’t. He was there for me even when I wasn’t there for me, even when I gave up on myself. But after committing that sin I’m so numb but also feel this heavy grief because i feel myself getting further and further away from Him and because I hurt my Heavenly Father. He’s been good to me and patient and compassionate but I’ve been heartless. Sometimes I feel like I’m not even trying to resist the sin or fight. It’s like I actually want to do it but don’t at the same time. So afterward I just get into this spiritual slump and nonchalance because apart of me accepts that I’m just not worthy or strong enough to care for my Father the way He cares for me. Not because I don’t want to care for Him and love Him but because my actions speak louder for me. I always go back to Father God no matter what but then it’s this cycle but I will say that each time I see the Lord helping me do something I’ve never done before, like the last time I was facing temptation, I called on Jesus and asked Him to help me. Just immediately started crying out for Him in the midst of the temptation. The enemy surrounded me, and his voice was loud but the minute I called on the name of Jesus and asked Him for help, He came through and helped me. He gave me peace. He gave me a sound mind and the voice of the enemy and the desires of my flesh were no longer. That was something new that I had never done before so I do see God working on me and helping me despite how many times I fell. God has the most patience, I’ve never seen anything quite like it which is why I want to stop abusing His love. Like just cause He’s patient, kind, loving, forgiving and much more doesn’t mean that I have to test things out to see if it’s true. Doesn’t mean I have to willingly sin against Him and hurt Him but that’s what I end up doing and it feels like grief. I want to love the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul, trust me but I’m afraid of myself. I don’t trust myself or take myself seriously because no has taken me seriously growing up. I’m afraid of this stranger who happens to be me. And I know people may say well “don’t base your life on what people think of you or don’t treat yourself a certain way because of how people treated you,” and I understand that 100%, you’re right but I was a people pleaser and low key still kinda am but I’ve gotten better by the grace the grace of God. I was a people pleaser because I wanted to belong somewhere and because deep down inside I wanted to be liked and appreciated. I wanted to feel human and not alienated because if there was anyone who knew what alienation felt like, it was my younger self.

That's when you ask God for help, to make you like stuff he does, to find joy in time with him, just be very specific what you ask cuz I wasn't and it hurt me, still does actually but I'd asked for stuff I didn't type here and received that so....also if you want time with him he will clear your schedule, sometimes he purposely makes worldly stuff boring so you want time with him, then if he makes you give up stuff that's schedual clearing but it's a good thing cuz he will get closer to you

Is the esv study bible a good bible/word to have as I think is has the original word plus additional devotionals, etc. I found one particularly for men and would like to ask for some insight if I should go for it It’s called men’s study bible

i read the bible everyday, but i have this weird OCD thing that makes me almost crazy, bible has 66 books, new testament 27 books, so whenever i see the number 66 or 27 (many times a day) i feel like i have to read the bible immediately or i have let god down. if i dont i feel very bad. i also get scared when i see the number 36 because it reminds me of the number 666 because 36 is "three sixes" for me... pls pray for me im a little messed up in the head.
