I have all three of the features mentioned plus Im sure some slight asymetrical features so I look like an absolute creeper in photos lol but at least I feel confident and beautiful irl.

Thank you so much for making a video on this! I always looked ugly in photos and the photos are the reason why I had developed body dysmorphia. I always thought I was ugly and I'd get shocked whenever someone would call me pretty. I honestly think I look good irl but whenever I take photos, I get discouraged and that's why I stopped taking photos and I get defensive when someone tries to click photos of me.

Someone who actually gets it right. Camera lens does ALOT to distort the face and body. It’s so weird when other channels claim the mirror is false.

not to mention, i've had many phones in my life and every singe lens has made me look different

some people are just not photogenic, don’t worry. what’s important is how people see you in real life. nowadays people can trick their photos by filters, some are fake, then others may get disappointed when they meet them in person. so don’t be insecure.

THIS IS SOOO TRUEE!!! I literally look so bad in my school group photos I have chubby cheeks and like you said my face looks really wide in them 😭😭😭

At this point I feel like editing my pictures/ videos not as changing myself, but rather getting my appearance back to how good it actually is irl… Stuff mostly get worse with my facial structure, but also I can’t stand how my dark circles look fine in person (a little bit darker than my skin) and like a freaking panda in pictures/ videos! ☠️

Another thing that wasn’t mentioned is how phone cameras handle colors. Most often(all iPhones) takes photos and apply post-processing to it, which includes turning up the contrasts of the photo taken. This means that the dark area will appear darker and the lighter area will appear lighter, so things like black spots or areas where colors are different becomes more visible in the final photos. Hope this helps too

Yes... the auto HDR that cannot be turned off in newer iPhone photos. I look fine in older iPhones. Newer iPhones artificially makes photos more detailed. My pores are fine when I see myself in the mirror. But on newer iPhones, selfies accentuate those pores like hell.

No sis I have same issue that's why i don't like to click photos because my right eye looks smaller then left in pictures which doesn't look good but in real and in mirror both eyes are same

Now if only I can figure out how to position myself so I don't look like that in photos 😅

Then try to smile pretty. Then figure out the boundary of your pretty and ugly broad smile and be mindful of it. This was my huge problem. I'm still struggling with it irl, but at least I can do pretty photos. Aristocratic ladies always smile elegantly

My friends told me i look good in ohotos not in real life.But eveytime i take photos or wear different types of dresses people tell me i look so different in each.I dont even know whats my real face and how others see me

Tbh for most, I bet the bigger reason is simply that we’re not used to staring at ourselves. Same as how our own voice sounds weird in recordings. But once you start recording yourself frequently, it starts to sound “normal” again. I unknowingly overcame both of these insecurities by doing daily vlogs. Just around Day 30 I got over something that’s bugged me for close to 28 years.. pretty nuts how obvious and simple the cure was to me all these years 😅

These are the exact same problems with my face . I have really prominent cheekbones, jawline , and a nose with rounded tip . My face looks so incredibly wide , bulky quite ugly in photos . But I look pretty average in naked eyes . 😂 I don't even like to be in photos for this reason.

I bought a fancy new phone for filming KZread videos, but the lens totally distorts my face! Everything closer the camera looks waaay bigger so my nose looks huge 😭 I look sort of like Mr Bean in the new camera due to the extreme distortion lol I look “normal” on my old phone, but the old phone camera is a bit busted so can’t film properly!!
