I saw Gary V live over 6 years ago and he said then get on you tube so I went home bought a round face light and was going to do videos on you tube ❤ I knew what I wanted to do meaning the content and I tried it and I watched it and said ohh hell no ! Lol I did exactly what he said most people will do ! I Critiqued myself 😮I thought I look to silly or I look to old and then I put my light to the side of my room and that’s where it sits to this day 😮 I am so glad I came here today to watch him again ❤ I’m going to stop being insecure and try it again ! ❤ Thank you Gary for all you do ! Aristotle, Socrates, Gary Vee...gather the crowds, share a transformational message, change the world and its thinking! Excellent, Gary! ❤
I like how the crowd is dressed in formal attire but Gary is wearing a Coach T-shirt, pants & sneakers. And they all paid to come see HIM. Speaks volumes. That alone is so cool.

It's really about what an individual feels authentic wearing. I would never set foot on a stage without at least a blazer, but that feels authentic to me. I do think in the post Zuck hoodie culture many people have forgotten the positive and empowering aspects of dressing up a bit, just because they think they are rebelling against a stodgy elite upper class.

Bro you don't get enough credit for literally introducing the world to the idea of clips from long form content ... I noticed ‼
I’m grateful that Gary did not throw any F bombs on this audience. Proof that he can control his behavior and that’s a good thing.
This "race" to create more content brings a lot of stress and anxiety. It can work, but really...think about this. More time we expend creating and squeezing our brains and hearts, more stress and DISCONNECTION from real life is growing. Is a huge mental health threat to stick to the cellphone, and also a lot of empty content because of these gurus telling you need produce or create more. HAVE NO FEAR to explore the inner world and create from the heart. Creativity is one of the few things that is separating us from the machines. Go for the balance! Pay attention to your health:) and if you create...CREATE POSITIVE CONTENT! CREATORS RAISE!!!

After years of studying the people of content creation, the biggest fear I see is related to vanity metrics. People have taken a space made for creativity to a place where the numbers mean so much more than the creative expression. They're basing their success off someone else's idea of what it means to be "successful", forgetting (or not even innerstanding) that "success" is 100% subjective.

He is 100% correct. I have every fear he mentions every video i post. I obsess every video to make sure the content is 100% accurate. The internet trolls will destroy a content creator if the make one little mistake. I wish my editing and quality was better, but i always make sure my content is absolutely perfect. There are many video ideas i dont post because i fear and use the excuse "stay in your lane".

I listened to this a few months ago when I was contemplating heading back out onto the streets to interview strangers for the online show I'd started a decade earlier but gotten away from to pursue other paths, projects, professional opportunities. As much as those other paths were what I thought "I should be doing", something deep down still felt like it was missing. I'd decided to honor that one day while out on a run and set out to go back to my show - though with trepidation - when I opened my phone to listen to a podcast while running and this episode popped up. I literally heard myself say out loud on the streets, "he's right, it's fear, and it's not worth not following a dream for" and reaffirmed my commitment to myself and my show.

I agree, Gary has distilled the essence of what holds so many folks back, he has been on a learning curve himself and all of that experience is paying off, I think he is very generous, he is giving it all away almost for free, while other so-called 'gurus' charge enormous fees for much less value given.

Theres a recipe for that. Make a burner ig account and just go ahead and talk to strangers on stories. Your fear is connected to ppl you know. And once you see how strangers react and you get comfy with cam, you will be able to do it in front of everybody. Another thing thats helps is you gonna die one day. So it doesent really matter :) a bit of nihilism to keep it real. Good luck ❤

I've been following gary for years, but now i feel that his words are really starting to hit me! Thanks for being active and for bringing so much value to people, Gary!
This talk is game-changing and 100% true! “I was never able to form entitlement because nothing ever came easy to me.” I didn’t know when I was young and struggling due to me circumstances that it would later be my superpower. Gary knows! Listen! I am literally making more money because I made time to post more content. 💯 What other people think of me has never bothered me because I’ve survived having nothing! Wishing you all success. “Put in the work!”
I needed this today. I got an influencer deal and I need to show my stomach. I’m not even overweight and It’s a bit intimidating.
This video is such a gem! I could relate fully as a small creator from Africa. Thanks Gary!
I've always said being afraid of failure is normal... But being afraid to try because you may fail that's what will make you a loser...
Gary has given a lot of keynotes but he still manages to keep it fresh. It's the same message as usual but it seems as relevant today as it did ten years ago. Iteration and repetition may be the best kind of creativity. You don't really need a radically new idea to be creative. You need a good idea and then you just explain from a million different angles. Of course, this is a very hard concept to teach or learn. As usual, what Gary is doing is probably more instructive than what he is saying.

Phew. It IS why I'm not on TikTok because those kids are mean lol. I love the idea of creating a stable emotional platform first. Good stuff Gary.
Great message. I broke through one for a day for an entire year (365 days in a row). Fear can be debilitating. Fear can stop us from doing what we truly want to do. The greatest lesson I learned during that year is that once we can take control of our fear rather than letting our fear have control over us, that's when we can experience our fastest growth. F.E.A.R. Faith Erases Anxious Reactions. When your fear is strong, your faith is weak. So when you're experiencing fear, tap into your faith ---- in yourself, in your mentors/coaches, into God. Tap into them to then Do It BECAUSE You're Scared. You got this.
Thanks Gary I needed to hear this. Exactly the reason my social media and business is not growing. I need to get out of my way. Thanks for all the advice I need to get moving.
Very encouraging. I am getting my podcast gear ready. Its like a wise man said; never keep your eggs in one basket. Gotta create 2-3 youtube channels and keep giving out good content.
Everyone may have a 1970s Hollywood camera. Not everyone is a 1970s Holywood actor.
You're afraid of being judged on video because *you're* judgmental. The minute you stop that, you will release yourself and be able to produce content 24/7.
So much value in one video! Gary is The Man! Thank you!
Some people are hurt by insults but some people are hurt by valuable criticism. Critical comments don't just come from a place of pain. That way of thinking can lead to dismissing people who aren't just praising and agreeing with whatever you say. There are many more modes of interaction than cheering and booing.
Much love Gary! I've been following you since 2016 & I am finally putting myself out there. Currently leveraging my P.B to build a start-up company. Thanks a lot Gary! Thanks for changing my life ❤️
Yes for sure 'everyone in the room should be posting on social media' . Good chance they know how too. I would like too also but find it impossible to understand how to use all these apps. & FB Twitter etc. iv'e done 2 computer courses at collage (Basic) & a Internet marketing course (3 days £2,500). It's not my skill set.
Im literally just vlogging my day to day experience of losing everything I had.. and building back anew.. aaaaaand I got 7 subscribers yesterday and lost 2 today lol
5:19 I like how he’s working on his communication, for many they will miss the skill he’s showing right now by creating ‘I’ talking about himself but for you as the viewer it’s perceived and related back to you saying it. So it’s a self reflection which is what he aimed for, if you caught it.
15 mins into the content , i have made up my mind to post two contents on IG and whether there are more likes, more views. I am here for free! That is good enough for my vision and goals.

One of the most important lessons I've learnt going into the future are through this video. Alot to unpack. Time to get to work! Thanks Gary
Fair enough Gary, there is a lot of fear when it comes to producing content and people are somewhat controlled by fear so they don't put themselves out there as much as they should. Totally Fair Point. Having said that, on the flip-side, a lot of us don't want to be on social media having our voices heard. There seems like an infinite number of "influencers" who are shouting their message from the rooftop. What I see, from where I'm sitting, is a lot of noisy people that would probably be better off living a quieter life. 😳 Sure, if you're a super competitive person and enjoy spending your Saturdays trying to get a dollar off of a pink elephant plushie toy, you do you. In all fairness, Gary makes it clear that he wants everyone to do what they think is right for themselves. He's not saying that everyone should be super competitive and shout their message from a stage..... Or, karate chops some poor guy over an old Tonka toy at his family yard sale. So, the one person that will halfway read this comment, while they are presumably sitting on the toilet; they should ask themselves, "am I one of those super competitive people that will be happy in the Gary vee style of grinding through life?" maybe you are and maybe you're not but don't let some KZread guru influence that decision. Gary once said, "I'm the type of person that would love to lose everything just so I can rise above the ashes like a Golden Phoenix." I don't identify with that statement, not even close, but I'm sure there are those that do. And if you guys identify with Gary, then you should grind it into high gear and make it to the top of that mountain. For me, I'll be sipping on tea and the rest of us losers will keep the lights on if you ever need a cup of tea, yourself. 🥳
This an honest video that is created to reflect my situation in years. God he is Right !

Excellent content. Glad I watched this video. Will share
I dated someone that would start fights for no reason. This someone also was conscious of her behaviour and did do self-work. They would then apologize for their actions after some thought. I appreciated that they had the ability to self-reflect and were mature enough to apologize. This was her pattern. Took me a while to catch it. I told her that I appreciated the apologies but that I would no longer tolerate the pattern. How about instead of apologizing after a fight we don’t fight at all? We didn’t get past it. I felt like I was walking on eggshells for the whole relationship and this affected my self-confidence.
