I notice I have been incredible unhappy since living here and the food as you said just not right at all. I have noticed my health is just not the same. I love how honest you were with this. Depends on how you define quality of life and the stage and phase your in. I can tell u if Jamaica is able to get their economy sorted out and control crime there would be a wave of people returning. America is fast becoming a less attractive, less appealing place for many. Still grateful for the opportunities that I’ve been granted here but it’s fast becoming a hamster wheel and disconnected society. The day will come when most Jamaicans wish they could return but won’t be able to afford Jamaica. The future has a strange way of changing trajectory.

Bro I like your topic. I really enjoying it I needed to hear this from someone who I have experience living abroad I have a platform to educate the people in Jamaica and the rest of Caribbean and internationally worldwide who is listening. We need this education. I myself living in America. I grew up in America. I leave Jamaica in the 70s. When I left Jamaica every week and I thought I could just jump on a plane I get a car and come back to Jamaican party and come back to work Monday morning that’s the way I feel Jamaica was really really nice loving And a very happy have a place to be. So when I left I really had to miss Jamaica and wanted to come back. My mom and she was a registered nurse in America so we had a good life decide the racism. yeah so when my mom returned back to Jamaica and it was time for us to break out and make it an hour on the system change. Because it was a stigma against Black people. 95% of Black people from the island who is doing well in America they win in the job business as somebody paid a sacrifice for them to be up there now. The white Supremus did not make it either for the black to rise up financially. They make it very hard and difficult. So I want you to use this platform to educate people about far in life and survival in America thank you bro

I left in the 80s as a child. That is around the time the mass migration started due to the rising of prices and shortages of groceries. That was under Michael Manley. But later in life it was all CIA sabotage because of Jamaica closeness to Cuba and wanted to do things to help poorer Jamaicans. Also that was the time of real political violence created by both political parties having garrisons fighting garrisons

Jamaicans in the USA knows that this story don’t add up. Yes the situations he speaks about are true but this youth is lying about something. But that’s the problem with living your life in public. For those who don’t know: you cannot live outside the USA for an extended period of time with a green card u will loose it. So let’s see

I feel this on so many level. I’ve lived in London 🇬🇧 my whole life. 2021 I visited Jamaica after 10 years of not visiting, one year later I'm in the process of moving back permanently (well for a while). The experience of the culture was just elite & even just having the sun does wonders for your mental health.

This is def facts and I’m a born American with no ties to Jamaica as far as family goes but I’ve been there a few times and In the process of planning to move there officially. My Jamaican friends thinks that I’m crazy cuz who gonna leave America right but the peace and freedom that Jamaica provides trumps everything else. Ppl tired asf foreal and no time for self but in Jamaica I can live like a queen for less than wat I’m paying here so it’s worth it for me.
