I also think that people are looking for a game that replaces royale high in a sense. Lots of people go to royale high to dress up, but since royale high has a toxic community, unmotivated owners, etc, this is a good replacement.

I think that DTI is a game that brings back Fashion Famous, in a more modern way. Fashion Famous was one of the top games in around 2019-2020, and it died as people were allowed to create their own UGCs and models in Roblox Studio. edit: 1k likes on stating my opinion!!!! thank you!

right that game got zero updates for so long that was the only dress up game i had until dti came along and NOW they decide to do updates since they got overtaken by dti smh, DTI on top

Another factor is because they have lore, and the lore is giving "the myths" era of Roblox. They are using accounts alongside the lore, which makes it SO interactive and full of mystery. Perfect thrill and awesome plot. Great devs frfr!

yup. if ur talking about rh, i used to be obsessed with it. there were regular updates, and the devs were nice. but now the community is toxic, the devs are also toxic and they stopped updating to work on the "new school" which has been promised for 3 years or so now. they keep saying "oh its gonna be released this year" and now that it's released, its very underwhelming. they are releasing it in phases, and the first phase came out august last year. then they stopped releasing phases till earlier this month. everything is so expensive and i dont have time anymore to grind hours on end. thanks for reading my rant :)

@bxbacloud true, but they released a new set and are working on a new school, Campus 4. Campus 4 is being made because players are very laggy! They are also trying and have reduced a small amount of lag in the castles heart, as well as added new halos to win from the fountain and a Throne Tower and Dugeon, will chests ridden amoung the places. They have Art Class now, and new summer fantasy borders to win! They added Tidy Textbooks a while ago and are previously working on the phases for Campus 3. I still play every day, but I do understand your nerves! They were once very toxic and removed badges from KZreadrs, but have also given them back. They are trying very hard right now. Also, though, I wish buying diamonds wouldn't be so expensive because set prices are increasing, and that they would have a free school uniform set for all players, old and new. So I have my ups and downs, but yes, in the end, I do understand.

The best part is that they listen to their community, they’re releasing a new game mode, etc. and the community isn’t all that bad either!! They’re actually pretty nice

Once i joined a server where everyone was hyping eachother up! It was so mood lifting and just girls supporting girls

not only that but dti (dress to impress) has LORE, like its not only a upgraded fashion game, it has secrets about lana, ( the girl who does your nails 💅🏻) so lana is actually not lana its a doppelganger of her. there is a book on top of a shelf and it talks about the doppelganger and next to it it reads: FIND ME.. USER ID: (idk lanas id) but if you see it, the id is actually a acc id and it leads to lana (the acc), you also wanna see her bio bc it has a code or smth. she has her own game called "Forest" idk how to explain but if you see a circle go to it (it needs 4 ppl) and it tps you to a maze and if you complete it you get a ripped white dress in dti and to wear it you go to lana and in the left you see it. lana has her own channel called lana aka lanadoesnails and there is some creepy vids. (im srry if this is long)

DTI really sky rocketed when the Rh drama started in February. Lots of people then went to DTI as it was a replacement for the only good dress up game at the time then when they saw how DTI had lots of dedication and respect for their community, something Rh did not have. That’s when DTI was a very popular game!

reasons why this got popular: Royale high was a fun dress up game until it started controversy. fashion famous was the but older, yet the developer was getting greedy and started making a lot of stuff cost money. No one has probably heard of this but dollista was a fun dress up game UNTIL, the owner had allowed young kids in their discord, Leaking a game, raiding servers and they sent not so kid friendly stuff.

Dress to Impress helps me think of quicker and sometimes rushed outfits, yet the game is fun!

I get people are trying to find a game to replace rh, but imo I feel like a fashion game that has nothing similar to the game we are trying to replace, the main point of royale high was roleplaying, hanging out, dressing up, etc etc, so I’m kind of surprised that we replaced royale high for THIS 😭 (I’m not saying that dress to impress is a bad game and I am not saying that rh doesn’t deserve to be replaced. Pls remember I said IMO (in my opinion)

Exactly, no hate to dress to impress but I just don't find the game any interesting besides dressing up and that's it. Then what? When you play the same game mode over and over again you'll get bored. Unlike Royale high Dress to impress isn't open world, nor is it even fantasy based, you just dress up, that's it. Honestly in my opinion I think it's not even keeping me entertained. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also its kinda a never ending dress up game until everyone leaves. I don't think its a great replacement for rh besides dressing up.

one thing that dragged me into this game was definitely royale high's downfall w/ its toxic community & owners that made fake promises- plus the fact that i love dress-up games bc i get to recreate characters from other medias & enhance my clothing creativity is what pulled me into this game even more)

I think dress to impress is basically just if fashion famous and Royale high had a baby, It was fun but then it kept getting updates and new things and the updates weren’t that exciting for me. So I really don’t get why it’s get why it’s so popular. Also because it got more popular cause people were basically making this the new Royale high, same with Astro renaissance. The same will most likely happen with DTI.

i think its the false sense of productivity part. For an old ass adult yes but for young people i say go waste your time doing what you love, afterall its fashion, and the real world loves fashion, even as an adult i think it a good way to learn about fashion beforehand as it is realistic, these type of virtual games, ai and styling stuff have helped me a lot in finding a style and good clothes without having to be there physically and wasting money on things i wouldnt have even wanted. i say theyre all good. Nothing beats shopping offline to check for quality though, the rest is history.

it is more to get people to click on it. something made more dramatic will be more noticeable then a normal title like “How did Dress To Impress get big?” see, it’s not as eye catching?

Another reason why it’s popular is because you can customize a lot more than you could with Fashion Famous for example. You can layer, toggle, mix, etc. Thats the main reason I love dti.

For me it was definitely the bodies and more realistic items which I just realized i didn’t have anywhere in my wardrobe and that’s why I love the game so much

people will mostly move over to DTI because in royal high, you have to work, grind, and farm for HOURS and even DAYS! so when DTI (Dress To Impress) released most stuff were free! they didnt have to work endlessly to make a good outfit! its was already there to be easy! DTI just released an update with - a new mode to play in! - new clothes - revamp - clothes to buy - currency (clothing are only up to 5k and the money is only around the map! so its pretty easy) Dress To Impress works on updates, on the other hand, RH (Royal High) takes alot to update! (i understand the new school took long but i mean little fun updates!) when you said that this is not uniqe( 0:16 ) it really is, the clothing isnt made in the roblox shop so the only way to wear it is to be in DTI! The 5 minutes to make an outfit is a goal, it makes people feel accomplished when they are done, but in sunset island (in RH) it is a theme where you need dimands AND ALOT OF THEM to make just a decent outfit, DTI isnt replacing RH spot on purpose, It just is that RH needs to add updates where items are more free! I PROMISE i didnt mean any hate to ANYONE i am just pointing it out ❤ please dont take this personal, have a good day and THX for reading this whole message!

I also wanna add how sunset island feels unfair because you have people with a lot of diamonds and therefore have more items and prettier outfits (that even makes their avatars look different physically), while some have a few items and their outfits don't have as much detail as the ones with diamonds. So it makes a person feel a little bummed out because they already know the ones with a lot of items are gonna win. But for Dress to impress you barely have that problem, everyone's avatar looks the exact same, and you can combine clothes to make a new one, and it's sometimes not that noticeable when someone is using a VIP item, and even when they do you still have a chance of winning because DTI is about skill and fashion knowledge, not how much money and items you have.

It feels, plays and looks better than most other fashion games. Also, there is one and only one gamepass, vip. Also, you dont have to spend 50 robux to get all colours, another 60 for all makeup, etc. One more thing is tat its organized. I played fashion famous for the first time in years, it was unorganized, looked like a warehouse and you have to pay for so many obscure things, like full colour access. DTI is much funner to play.

I started playing dti in March, I was wondering the hype about it so I asked my friend if she wanted to play, at that time I’m pretty sure there were duos so we wanted to duo, I’m pretty sure that’s what got us into the game because it was a little more detailed than fashion famous and etc.

What got me into DTI? I wanted to see what the hype is about and I can understand most of it. It's basically modern-day Fashion Famous.

I do love this game but it also makes me sad thinking about royale high and fashion famous. they were my childhood! plus I’ve spent so so much money on them and ngl it is a bit scary how dti is the only Roblox game I’m motivated to play. anyways I do think it’s a great game but it just makes me sad thinking about how similar it is to those older games and how easily it’s replaced it! I know this is sort of off topic but I wish the royale high owners were more active and motivated, I understand it is hard but they came so far and did so much then just disappeared. they haven’t done an update for so long! they’ll most likely add one new holiday set that teddy made and just add the rest of the sets back then they’ll go and we won’t see anything until the tiny easter egg hunt and halloween. again I know it’s hard but if they were unmotivated they could’ve at least nicely said they wanted a break or were quitting on social media. I think the real reason it gets so much hate and backlash is because the developers just disappeared without no warning. I’m not sure the reason coeptus sold bloxburg but if you really don’t want anything to do with your game hand it off! I know it’s hard but what do you just want the pride of saying “yeah royale highs my game” like not trying to hate (I know I am anyways) but there’s just a lot of things that could’ve been changed or done better.

The fact that I’ve been playing DTI since November weeks after it released. I don’t think anyone ever thought it would be famous.

something I personally love about dress to impress is that it inspires me. i am learning to sew and crochet so I can make my own clothes, and dti has shown many different fashion styles and clothing items :D

i played dress to impress on its kinda old map and when it was not as popular as it is now, so when I saw how much it had improved and spread over social media, i was honestly impressed.

it would be so cool if they added diff body types too

idk why but I feel like it kind of gives a nostalgic feeling to ex fashion famous players I play it because its like fashion famous but they don't reset the stars point things I have. I gave up on fashion famous when they reset 5000 stars I had, and I feel like it gives the same kind of energy fashion famous does but they made it age with the old player base of fashion famous.

i remember seeing dress to impress show up on my recommended with like a few thousand people on it so i joined it and i thought “this is prob gonna blow up” and it did like the next week

dti is fun esp with friends, it also rly reminded of rh bcs of the character design & the community isnt as negative as rh's. i dont play often but i remember playing it during its first few months & im glad its getting its success

DTI is such a promising game, the thing I like about it the most is how you don't have to pay roboux for nearly everything like some other games, just the VIP room and people can survive without having access to it as the free items are more than the VIP ones. And it has items that you get by paying with in- game money which is easy to have and the things you pay for aren't even expensive. I hope it stays like this.
