I lost all faith in YG after I found out he turned down a collab between Rose and IU. Was he fucking nuts? You have the Grand Queen of Kpop wanting to collab with your best singer and you say no? Not only does it not make artistic sense, but multimillionaire businesswoman IU is not someone you want to have your name on their shit list, not to mention it was probably one of the biggest reasons Rose ran when she had the chance. YG knows talent, and he knows how to train them, but his management flubs are going to go down in Kpop history as How Not to Manage Your Talent. Poor Babymonster.

It was literally Teddy that produced majority of BB, 2NE1 and BP songs. So YG, himself, didn't do crap. All he did was take credit for other people's work. He is bile. BP witnessed how he treated 2NE1 and I'm sure it made an impact on them at such a young age and as trainees.

YG Entertainment is a company with the worst management mindset. You can tell by looking at how bigbang and 2NE1 are treated like trash. YG Entertainment can no longer be the future of K-pop.

😤Jennie continuously made comments about the girls being frustrated about not being allowed to release music. Rosé & Jennie, made comments about them having a bunch of RECORDED songs. That were left in limbo, in YG's vault. He most likely threatened the 4 girls from being able to use any BLACKPINK branding, if they left completely. This way YG got to keep Blackpink, & by proxy. Any success in their solo endeavors, benefits YG. He won't HAVE to allow them to do comebacks soon. Because the girls will be active in solo endeavors. Therefore he will put everything on BM, & try to create a new BP. He's already doing a repeat, by getting BM the same endorsements as BP (like Pepsi). He did the same BS to 2NE1, BigBang, GDragon, Taeyang, & many others. The name BLACKPINK alone, kept YG stocks from continuing to plummet. I hope they can one day own the rights to the name they helped to create.

When they did a tour in the US I asked my mo if we could go but she fussed at me so I broke down bc something told me they would disband

YG did the same to 2NE1. Sporadic new songs frustrated 2NE1 as well. So YG destroyed 2NE1 before Blackpink's debut. Thus, Blackpink began with a vacuum for Girl Groups (other 2nd Gen groups were also disbanding and elimination of a possible competition for attention. YG's control limited Blackpink and, I believe, prevented them from reaching their full potential. So Yes! Blackpink made good decisions to free themselves from YG. I hope their future careers will be excellent.

It’s not that deep: they ALL had one solo release in 7 years. That’s why they probably chose to take control of their solo careers. Yet with BP under YG they became the successful act they are today. So it’s only logical they don’t wanna change that formula 💪🏼💙 thankfully

im happy that they left yg for solo projects but what dose this mean for group like are wwe only going to get 1 comeback and how long is there group contract hopefully they have a comeback soon :)

BTS was the thing that made hybe skyrocket yes, but right now I’m sure hybe can go on without them, an extreme hot take yes but just look at the groups they have right now. Le sserafim, seventeen, txt, new jeans, illit, enhypen, boynextdoor, and they’re all massive hits. So I’m pretty sure they can go on without them. But I can’t deny that if bts wasn’t there they wouldn’t be where they are rn.

YG is nothing without Blackpink? YG was something prior to Blackpink though and it was the YGE reputation that put Blackpink on the map in the first place. The management style and controversies over the recent years has tarnished the name but YGs reputation with releasing talent still remains and whether you hate YGE or not, people always come sniffing around when a new group is released 🤷🏽‍♀️
