Both were broken and empty shells of their former selves. They understood each other like noone but there was not a single change they would develop romantic feelings towards each other. Sadie died with her husband and Artur died with his child and wife. They both were heartbroken beyond repair. Arthur liked being around Mary because she was his first love and reminded him of their previous innocent lives which he missed very much.

I like that Arthur doesnt seem interested in anyone, besides maybe considering getting back together with Mary. Some people, like myself, kinda just stop looking for partners and just focus on the day to day. Maybe if someone hits their fancy in just the right way, hed try a relationship, but he seems more focused on surviving the day.

I think mary understood that arthur will not settle down. She let him go a second time. And yes we did see mary visiting arthurs grave in the ending credit.

I knew something was up with her when a simple shopping trip turned into a bloodbath, but I'll never forget the raid on Shady Bell. Middle of the fight I hear Sadie scream in the distance and I go running over to help her, only to find out that wasn't a scream for help but a bloodthirty war-cry as she stabs several men to death.

Arthur doesn't get involved with Sadie mostly because of what he and her have both gone through in their lives. Arthur losing his family and Sadie losing a chance to ever have hers. Their relationship is one built on respect not carnal desires. Arthur does develop some romantic feelings for Sadie but would never act on them because he knows she simply would never go for it and in a way Arthur sees himself as someone who knows in a lot of ways he's no better then the men that killed her husband and Sadie would never be with someone like that. Most people in the group view Arthur as the big brother, but from day one Sadie never saw him that way. They were equals.

No, the reason is she lost her husband like few months ago. She's still mourning and is not interested in anyone than Jake!

If Sadie didnt let John know that Micah was still alive, he’d probably stay alive. Him, Sadie and Charles left such a big mess on the Epilogue Final Mission, and that brought John into Ross’s radar. So in a way, Sadie letting John know that he has the chance to avenge Arthur (something, Arthur wouldnt want John to do) signed his death warrant.

They were definitely interested in each other after a while. Would take a blind person to not see the flirting. It just seems like kind of a “right person, VERY wrong time” type thing. People can still be close friends with eachother while having romantic feelings that are never acted upon.

I love this relationship between Arthur and Sadie, so much that I think that Sadie should be the main character in RDR 3. The story would take place after the incident with the mustached rat on that mountain, you know what I mean (I didn't want to say spoilers). There is some potential in this solution, especially if we will be able to play as a female character in GTA VI and here in RDR 3 as well.

Fun fact: during development Sadie was planned to be a romanceable character similar to Mary. However rockstar removed this as it conflicted with the story and characters. There are still some lines of dialogue in the game files left over from this.

claytonhawk8512 pretty much covers it, but I will reiterate why Arthur isn't interested in anyone but Mary. Arthur already had a family once. They got killed when he was away doing outlaw things. The experience hardened him. That's why he won't even consider anything more than a deluxe bath from working girls. Because he fears the responsibility that could come from one simple mishap. Mary makes him dream but not of family, just sweet times, and being free from the gang, being free of responsibility altogether. The only woman, other than Mary, he considers briefly during the events of the game is Abigail, because he wants to be there for Jack, since John is useless, not because he is sweet on Abigail, not anymore anyway.
