@@SnowCount I'll be honest, I don't like the manga very much. The anime conveys things better in general. She might be scarier, but I don't like that the humour isn't that clear in the manga. It doesn't do justice to what Cid's character is: a dude having Fun being extra and Deep down not taking ir seriously, but acting and having the time of his life with it. Cid from the manga (or rather, Shadow) feels too serious. I've only liked some panels better. But in general, not my favorite version. I think the anime does a better job and is the superior adaptation so Far. The only things I missed were some more mature and introspective moments from Iris, but also the tongue in cheeks ones regarding her (ex: her undies have Bear Stamps iirc)

Though there's no explanation behind it, it might be the Shadow Garden's plan to allow Cid to have descendants if doing it with other Races didn't work, since the Diablos Cult is "The Current Eminence in Shadow in that world" meaning they are so big that it might take more than one human lifetime to complete their missions. If you read the manga/light novel, this will answer all of your questions. Also theres quite a few changes on that scene with Aurora and Claire. in manga, its more like a void,emptiness or pure-white surrounding. But in the anime, it just like you said, school nurse room.
