Let’s stop rewarding normal behavior as humble, over 99% of kids who get benched or can’t play are humble about it theres literally nothing special about this. As a society we need to stop recognizing normal behavior as outstanding and humble stuff. Really waters down the bar and sets it low. Mans knows there’s maybe 5 people watching the game and he’s got 3-4 more years of eligibility 😂

@@Scheboygan8767 calm down bud...step down from your soapbox and realize that this is NOT his only moment of humility. If you followed this kid for any length of time you would realize that. However I guess you just needed to flex your fingers and type some keyboard sermon to broadcast your feelings about our current society, although I don't disagree with you about rewarding normal behaviour, I will say you spent your time on the wrong post! I love that Coach told him “he needed to believe in his ankle”. That is extremely wise counsel. So many players re-injure themselves or get secondary injuries trying to protect previous injured areas they are not confident in. This is a concept that Athletic Trainers understand but surprisingly team physicians, surgeons and often times PT’s don’t take into account and send players back too soon. It’s absolutely rare to see a Coach take the responsibility to pull a kid even though they are cleared by the medical staff.

If he went to Florida State, they would have rolled him out there. Gave him whatever shot he needed (on the under). It's program first, team second, player third. Players looking at this are actually stunned by Coach Prime's actions. Can't even fathom this happening at FSU. Maybe Saban at Bama... but it would been decided days before by the staff because they have such depth. Here, the coach basically said screw the staff and your feelings, my discernment says "no". Actually, this is pretty incredible and love TH's response. Learning to think long-term is key. Disappointed, but trusting his coach to have his best intentions in mind. Impressive.
