I worked in Hollywood and everyone knew the music industry was way sleazier than the film and TV industry - which is quite a race to the bottom!! Sexual predators are normalized in rock n roll. Sex sells music is the ethos in the industry. It’s disgusting. The way these boys were sexualized right from the start, by the media, and their own fans, is alarming - whether (homo)sexualized or (hetero) sexualized. The world needs to protect young boys the same way we would protect young girls.

This is reminding me of the female reporter who said Harry was a womanizer … and when Zayn said he wasn’t and that he was a nice guy, she said ‘NO! HE HAS TO ANSWER!’ … It makes me sad to see such a young Harry being treated like that! She would be canceled for it, in today’s world! We still need to make progress though!😽💚🎵

Important to talk about this. I have been watching Harry and 1D only for about the last month but right away I was struck by how these boys were constantly sexualized and their privacy invaded. There seemed to be no protection for these boys. It’s alarming and as a society we need to do better. I will not buy 1D music because those who exploited these young men will profit. I will only buy their solo music. Thanks for making this video. The exploitation of boys (and girls) must be exposed and we must, as a culture, change this and stop it. 💖

Very correct! 👍 I used to know young, pretty girls are the ones used, abused, exploited by Directors, Producers to be chosen as artists. Turned out the 1D boys (then) weren't spared. Like Harry, first to a contest host who had a 14-year gap when he was just 17. Then another host with a 16-yr gap when he was 19. Likewise Liam where a contest judge took a fancy on him, also older, and even bore a kid, which of course was so stressful to be saddled at an early age with a kid when he's supposed to be free and enjoying himself. So he turned to booze eventually, good thing he's sober now.ĺ

It’s crazy how many young celebrities are sexualized. It’s even crazier that no one talks about the male perspective. Take Justin Bieber for example. Bizarre from D12 had a song about raping Justin Bieber when he just turned 19, how Jeffry Star wanted to know how big his dick was when Justin was only 16 years old, when Shawn Dawson talked about if he was a porn star what would his name be… again when he was only 16 years of age! Not all of this is necessarily true, even though this video presents it as a «deep dive». We never see Harry saying he dated these women. We do, however, have the 60minutes interview where he says «I have a lot of friends who are girls, and apprently I’m dating all of them.» Grooming a 17 year old is terrible. But this whole video’s premise, asking why Harry doesn’t talk about his relationships, can easily be answered with «He prefers some privacy». He doesn’t owe us any info on his relationships and we should respect that.

Those older women were facts. He doesn't talk about fir his own reasons. He's in psychotherapy I'm pleased to know. Vulnerable boys in the headlights of the world. The boy performed on stage had a big cake fight, I think a couple had a little too much to drink and there was open affection being shown by H & L. Louis was suddenly put on a flight that night and didn't return for a week. He went from happy and carefree to cautious, moody and quieter.

Its not ok even if he was legal age. He was still a teen, imechure and was away from home for his first time. He problebly did have a crush on caroline but it was the "hate" she got for dating a kid that seperated them. Having a crush when your a kid doesnt either always make it convinient or apropiet. But aperently she got the approval from Harrys mother while his dad said in the paper he did not aprove and found it rather disturbing. As a parent i can understand you dont have much say in who your kids are dating especially when they are over 15. With the fact he didnt live at home they problebly had to maintein some peace. Legal restrictions of sex is kinda gross, to think government gets to tell you what to do with your body. Plenty of people in the US have sex at 15/16 & yet the law says 18… However, this imbalance of power & age difference is awful as well. The fact that they are in a questionable business, isn’t comforting when we start to question these things. Older male celebrities were sexually exploited as children, so it wouldn’t be anything new. Honestly, I think they made Harry play up these relationships to hide his sexuality & give older “forgotten” women publicity, and make them seem desirable. Hopefully it wasn’t anything manipulative, and he was just having fun, but I just don’t find that likely…

It’s bad enough that he has to have beards to cover up his sexuality, but pairing a 17 year old boy with a 31 year old woman was disgusting. Making sure they got pictures of her leaving his home in the morning so that everyone would think they had sex. I think he hated it but was afraid of what would happen to him, and the four other boys, if he didn’t go along with it.

It was strange of caroline (a 30 year old women) to find a sexual intrest in a young (problebly) very inicent boy. But on the other hand his mother was according to caroline ok with it. His father was not, but Harry was raised by his mother solely so I can imagine he inherited her values in the subject. I think its not something you should encourage and I think as a celebrity you have a responsebility to not use teenagers or a younger person for your own pleasure! And that goes for both men and female celebrities. I dont think Harry on the other hand saw this as a way to pin his career, he was more of a young boy out on his own for the first time and wanted to enjoy the party scene. Wether it has caust him any harm only he can tell, but as for it goes with medias focuses on his dating life it definentily have. It is sad to see he dont can have a relationship because of all the press and "fans" that goes ballistic. The way olivia was treated was horrible and I dont want to comment on her choises in life, wether she is a good person or not, because I dont know her so I basically dont know. But as a women i find it very absurd that I cant brake up with my fiance when we are in a toxic relationship because we have 2 kids. That is just bizarre, naiv and a very insular point of view.

When it comes to Liam: I’m not sure about grooming as they did date when he was a legal adult and he was highly interested, but I do think she used him to have a baby. And yeah, maybe she preyed on him when she saw how keen he was. She’d been divorced twice before and she wanted to secure motherhood. It may be harsh but there are many women who do this. But for Harry, it’s devastating to see this happened. If it were the gender roles reversed, the world would be in uproar. Both boys have been screwed with majorly. I hope they both find peace and can become entirely happy within themselves as individuals.
