Growing up in the hood myself, all the guys I knew that joined gangs, to a certain degree I understood why they did it. By reading this comment, I can tell you really tried to steer your nephew down the right path. But, kids don't just follow what we teach. They follow what we do as well. I have a niece who follows some of dumbest mistakes I made as a kid all because I'm the uncle who shares my life stories in a funny way, whether good or bad. In my head, I thought I explained it clear enough so she understood not to repeat it. But all she knew was that my stories were funny and she wanted to do what I was doing.. my bad if you think I'm preaching to you. But, some of my closest friends are still outside claiming whatever they claim(no dry snitching lol), but they also tell their nieces and nephews to stay in the books do the right thing like you said. I'm glad your nephew found a better way though. Salute brother. 🫡

@@cgpxae2119 That's true, but that doesn't mean it's right. 31:50 I'm pretty sure he's saying why don't more of our kids want to be astronauts, lawyers etc. Instead of rappers and athletes As in kids don't really think about what the cost of things are like you were saying, they just want it. No kid is thinking about how much money they need to get into a college or how much studying they might need to do for a specific profession, they just want to be it. Just like no kid who wants to be a rapper is thinking about how much money they would need to pay for studio time, a beat, or a feature from other artists. They just want to be a rapper and aren't thinking about how. He is basically saying more black kids when asked what they want to be will say a rapper than a astronaut whether they knew the cost or not because rappers are seen as cooler in our community than other jobs

Money is a resoruce you should learn how to control and build. Money is not something to live behind. If I were to give you a dollar for every number you count up to, the potential is infinite for how much you could make, but at some point you will stop, and when you do who knows if you will even be able to utilize it all. If money is your sole goal its not a good sign

Wish you would stop making excuses for needing money, I like your content and streams but you do that a lot. Granted it is a point he made in the video, people in our community being obsessed with money. Want to be a doctor? You can apply yourself and get scholarships (which is difficult but not impossible) which will pay for the school without you paying. When you mentioned how y’all were getting cooked for the brand you wore only thing I thought of was “why would y’all even care?” I can’t imagine buying 200$ sneakers because someone is making fun of my 30$ Payless shoes.
