Hi Julia, I'm so glad that you don't mind getting out on your own for different experiences. I'm the same way. Some friends don't understand how I can go places by myself. Well, sometimes if you want to go and friends decline.....I still get out.....I've been to both Disney parks by myself....had a great time...movies...doesn't matter....Life is too short to stay home just because you don't have someone to go with you. Great vlog as always! At SK in the old days the AHs had cupons for dry cleaning to give to pax that accidental had been soaked in dif kinds of fluids. What a great lay over! No one picks up the dry leaves. No wonder it is a lot of forrest fires in the US! Looking forward to the next one.

Your take on that blooming flower was lovely, and something that was good to hear for me right now. Its good to work through things and not get too caught up in all the rest of it. Also a nice surprise to see the Hollywood sign at the end of that hike !

I went to Los Angeles a couple years ago and only saw the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory. I will try that hike whenever I can get back!

Awww your flower observation wasn't cheesy at all! Loved it! The flower is pretty too. That hike was a grind! OMG when you first started sharing the story about the passenger I thought oh no, you were getting harrassed or something like that. Ugh there's enough of that happening. I lived in Burbank for about a year many moons ago. I interned on General Hospital, left my small town on the east coast and moved to CA all alone. Craziness, but it was a fun year to say the least. I loved Burbank.

Your video is sooo interesting to me! I grew up in Glendale California and moved to Chicago with my parents when I was 13. My crew and I would ride our bikes up to the Hollywood sign all the time when we were kids in the 60's and I then move to Chicago! Who woulda thunk it! I guess it is true that we are only six people removed from knowing everyone! Keep flying kiddo! I am enjoying your videos!

Been a while since I've watched one of your videos. Nice to see you back at work, and in a much better place... Been a tough time...

One year I went away 3 times in the span of 2 months: Dominican Republic, Acapulco, and Cuba. I took the same charter everytime -- twice with my mom, once with a friend. The crew was exactly the same on every flight, coming and going.🤗

That hike to the Hollywood sign was brutal! Thrilled you took me with you and the flower conversation was needed. I’ve been struggling with motivation and my surroundings. Also, the funny story made me chuckle! I though maybe you were going to ask him he if he’d like something to drink or prefer you to spill more water on him!! Not many hahah but if I work 3 flights a day each with 200 people, over a span of 3 weeks it’s hard to remember faces especially with the masks 😷 🙂

@@JettingJulia Whenever I fly next to an empty seat and snacks are being handed out, I ask for an extra "For my friend, Tray" (motioning toward stowed tray next to mine). Always gets a laugh. :-)

If you’re looking for ideas for another video soon; one I’m curious to hear about is how you and your fellow flight attendants deal with your schedules. I mean, in the context of having to deal with lots of time zone changes (in this video, four in one day on the first day), different wake up times and odd wake up times, and so on. Are there times you either forget where you are when you wake up, or talking to others you think you’re one place when you’re really in another, and how do you combat fatigue from the long days and odd wake up times?

Julia Noted with interest your comments on reading and Harry Potter. Our son Braden was behind in his reading until he read the entire Harry Potter series of books. He loved them. It definitely helped bring his reading skills on par with other students and since then he has loved reading. We even took him on a cruise and he spent his time getting books from the ship’s library! We are happy to encourage him. He also has spent time learning German and his pronunciation is better than mine! Jennifer and Duncan

That's my trail! I love that hike so much! There's a super cool cave up there where they filmed the original batman tv show.

What a way to go. This age of new technology of being able to document your travels is absolutely amazing. I would really enjoy this opportunity if we only had this available back when I started flying in 1966 DC-3 and retire in 2008 in the 747 and be able to look at it now. The people the different airplanes the destinations and all you do. Thanks for the ride. 👍👍👍. 9-10-21

I liked your optimistic comments about seeing that lone flower. However, it's "beautiful downtown Burbank"! Specifically, at 3000 West Almeda Avenue...

I'm pretty sure the flower was a "Moon Flower". We had one at out old house. The flowers start as a long finger like cylinder and then one late afternoon they pop open and continue to get whiter and bigger as the day progresses. The next day the flower starts to wilt and falls off of the plant. A seed pod with spikes starts to form at the base of where the flower was. The pod grows until is is a little larger than a golf ball and than it splits open and reminds you of a green pepper inside. Like a green pepper it has a lot of seeds in it that will fall to the ground or be eaten by bird. A funny thing about the seeds is they must be scratched or slightly damaged to sprout and grow a new plant. Another strange thing about them is they like to grow in the absolutely the worst soil they can find. Ok I've bored you enough about the Moon Flower, nice videos Julia I love your positive attitude on life.
