yes I love it too it is amazing 🤩

what they do not show is the heavy shipments that needs to be stocked. all of the thousands of kg of goods, such as the beverages need to be carried in, it is back breaking work, much more so than portrayed where you see store owners sitting in the front and selling the goods. it can also take a lot of hours to find who sells the product for the best price, and quality checking your whole seller because there is much less protections compared to things like money back or satisfaction gaurenteed that small time consumers have.

Lots of suppliers will stock your inventory for you. It depends if he desires more convenience in his life or if he wants to save some margin. Here the mark-up in a conscience store is roughly 4x the price of a grocery store.

I just discovered this show on Netflix 3 days ago. I just finished all 4 seasons. Lol actually like 30 minutes ago haha. I love this show. Can't wait for season 5

Been to a convenience store in Seoul, love them (and the variety of goods sold)! Wish we'd have more of those in Canada, makes life so much easier on foot.

With the advent of the Olympics and worlds women's curling championship. Maybe some conflict could develop with competing curlers bumping into each other at Kim's store. Oh not to forget I enjoy the TV series.

There are a lot of ppl with last name Kim in Korea so... There're ton of real Kim's convenience in Korea!

It's a real life example of an actual convenience store. They're just sorta doing a reality check to the convenience store the show tries to depict. While they're at it, why not find a Kim' owned store? It shouldn't be too hard since they're in Korea anyways.

Yeah I thought it was a bit random too, but it's a little charming. What I'm really wondering is why they didn't just go to the one in Toronto that the show was based on. But then again I figure they're just doing promotion for the show by doing a segment in Korea, to get more support. Fair enough. Edit: Actually, I just remembered that the writer Ins Choi said the original Kim's in Toronto is now owned by Somalians. Still, since it's still called Kim's, it'd still be interesting to see what it's like inside for those of us who can't afford to take the trip there.
