An acquaintance in college lied to all his friends that he was fighting cancer for months three years ago. When the truth came out, all hell broke loose and all his gang dropped his ass. I felt genuinely sick towards that situation because that same year, I had a cancer scare after having a stomach ulcer for four years and nodules were found inside my stomach. And two years after that, in 2019, my father battled prostate cancer and thankfully won against it last fall. I confronted the friend and he apologized to me but we grew apart.

And one of the most evil and heinous. My father defeated cancer at 75 five months into his prognosis. A former acquaintance lied about cancer and we alienated him ASAP. I had a cancer scare at 24. I can't deal.

In Chile there was an economist who work on TV, gave great advices about money and became very popular. Until one day, he said he had cancer, the most dangerous head one, that he was going to die in months, and he did not. He escaped from the country with his girlfriend, with the money that other people had invested with him. Today he is in jail, his alcoholism was known and now we knows that his whole life was a BIG LIE.
