You are welcome. Looking back, good lord that was a LONG video! haha. It's generic and low budget, I know. But thanks for the kind words. If I ever start these up again, 4 minutes max with more packed in THAT! haha.

the length was easy to watch because of the drive. it was like being there. those out of the way roads on the hillside(s) and slightly lesser known enclaves are cool as all get out. please DO start doing these again. this video is VERY watchable.

Another great vlog Darrell! It was great to see Gower Gulch. There use to be a club there called the Hollywood Bar & Grill. It closed a whole back but I performed there back in 2012. I haven't checked but have you done any videos on Silver Lake? I love that area. Some wonderful homes in that area.

Hi Darrell from Mexico! I gave this vid an immediate thumbs up when i saw it!, as i've done it myself! I once hung out on hollywood blvd (years ago hehe), to see if i could spot anyone famous driving up into the hills, and saw only many older people in larger type cars lol. I love LA so many down to earth people!!! Doesn't matter if rich or poor, everyone has the same dream/mindset to work in the entertainment biz.somehow. Here i am years later, owner of a youtube (tv type) channel..working away at it..haha. Maybe i'll make it big someday!! ha! Everyone has a dream as the saying goes!...This is also the story of LALA land!! :-D 😃

We occasionally get a very picturesque fluffy cloud so that the sunset looks extra dramatic. We have to get the prop department to place it just right. (Just being silly. We do have clouds! Have a wonderful day, friend!)

Street limits of the Hollywood neighborhood are: north, Hollywood Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to the east boundary of Wattles Garden Park and Franklin Avenue between Bonita and Western avenues; east, Western Avenue; south, Melrose Avenue, and west, La Brea Avenue or the West Hollywood city line. Hollywood is its own city; “West Hollywood” is a separate city, as is “North Hollywood.” When people speak of east Hollywood, that isn’t a separate city, just the east section of Hollywood.

That is not The Real Hollywood. We're Boomers who grew up in Beachwood Canyon with the old Hollywoodland sign clearly visible from our living room picture windows and the #89 Hollywoodland MTA bus running nearby. There was also cozy Beachwood Village with its wonderful gourmet-class grocery store, a drugstore with a great old-fashioned lunch and dinner counter and a great little beauty salon. Those "cute little homes" off of Beachwood Drive start at over $1 million now! I'm still trying to find the fabulous old split-level log cabin friends of our parents owned in the hills. Reportedly, it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. No ugly cement block buildings, tourist trap malls or tacky themed shopping districts in our day. Nearly all of the original art deco-style buildings are gone. You also failed to mention all of the historic businesses and eateries along Hollywood and Sunset Blvds. They were The Real Hollywood. And that notorious corner of Hollywood and Las Palmas with its famous international news stand, plus the horrid pedophile magnet Gold Cup coffee shop there that nearly destroyed the area.
