I sympathize with Adams need to beat the round one claw game lol.... did the same when I spent some time in Japan a few years ago. Makes for good memories to look back on for a laugh. I did end up winning something I could have bought in Akihabara for much less.

SHAM! It totally takes the tension off the claw arms right when it hits the top, but I would say money well spent because how often do you cry laughing so hard? Worth it in entertainment value! Plus you'll remember that moment forever. I noticed there were no locals playing those machines, weird. Don't ever let Adam gamble lol.

Just a tips, for claw machine, don’t wait for the pay out, since your arcade is empty, might take a while to get a payout, try to get in the loop for the tag, you have to find a “gap” to get it, mostly the pro claw machine player put on of the claw in the loop for the tag and you can get it in no time! It’s too late now but i hope you guys can see how these japanese player play the claw machine, and of course they’re rigged, otherwise they won’t make money, one more thing, you can ask staff to position the prize for you to an easy win! Don’t be shy to ask the staff, they’re very helpful!

Fun fact, I read online you can find the claw machine stuffed animals for like $15! 😂 whatever button you press, press and hold it and I feel like it should work on the claw machine!

The trick to all claw machines in japan is to grab them in an angle towards the hole so when it lets go near the top, it falls or bounces in the hole.

Legend has it that he is still at the crane machines today... Seriously though, my vote is for a bash bar either way just for the jack point, then put a bumper over it or don't.

The key to winning a prize in the situation with the cat is to make it fall somewhere where it's hard to grab with the claw again, flag down a staff member to come reset the position of it, and make the staff member stay and watch. After they see you put enough money into the machine they'll give you tips and start putting the prize in easier to win positions for you to win eventually, lol. This ensures that people that have poured a lot of money into the machine have something they can go home with but also keep the difficulty up for people coming in for the first time.

I'm not sure a bash bar fits in over there. I've not seen one on a car at ebisu. I personally think the car would look better without one, then everyone else won't need one too. Some Hearts and Neon would go a long way to making it a bit more 'Collete-Spec' tho adding to the JDM-style it already has 👍🏾

Aren’t you supposed to spam the button while it’s holding the stuffed animal? At Dave & Busters you have to hit the button a second time to grab the stuffed animal at a certain time as it’s dropping. Idk there are different tactics to those games. I feel like maybe there is different strategies

The funniest thing about the whole arcade scene is the thought of some arcade employee in the back staring at a security monitor at the "Silly American" dumping enough money into this machine to have bought like 30 stuffed cats.

I only play the mountain climbing game....where you have 60 seconds to get the metal ball up 1 of 2 slopes, the one slope is harder giving better prizes. I used to empty it out with like 3 dollars. I put in 50 cents and I got the best prize every time. I would even play for other people with their money to get them a sweet 12in Squidward or Patrick. Also, the metal claws are better...but they started to open when they would swing across.

If only you know that if you played morethan 5 times on that UFO catcher and still dont get anything, you can ask the staff to place it more easier and close to the hole😅 But seems you guys are enjoying it and thats fine and great

Those claw machines have a set amount of money they need to bring in before the claw will actually grip on anything properly. Until it hits that point, it's literally impossible to win :(
