Those monthly figures look like the annual cost divided by 12. You can pay more and less all depends on the quality and experience of the captain and chef you want and how many days and hours they will be required to be 'on call'.

Im just trying to save a few coins to buy a pontoon boat.

Absolutely idiotic thing to do unless you literally have money to burn. Smarter to make friends with the owner or just rent one.
