@tomley RC what is the tooth count on that gearing? I'm having the devil's time finding good gearing. I have a 3660 and 60 amp esc running 2s so I think I'm good on power. Please help.

Our crew loves the 2wds. We all have stampedes. Interesting to drive. Tough,cheap, and easy to work on

Mine went through 3 brushed motors before I upgraded to a 4000kv brushless setup and BLX metal gearbox. Then I went through metal gearboxes too! Now i've retired it as my LHS don't stock parts anymore :( Was a great first RC car and got me hooked on the hobby!

I started with the fury bls brushed. As soon as I upgraded from the supplied nimh to a 2s lipo battery I fried the brushed motor. So I upgraded motor and esc to brushless, no more problems since.

kev if you want ot stop the car from parachuting, then cut holes where there is fake, painted air vents to let air flow thorough. good video by the way...

I have the original version that has steel gears. Castle 3800 sct on 2s. I can't remember the exact size, but the spur gear has 2-3 less teeth and the pinion is like 30 tooth. It runs about 35. It has a tendency to blow over at speed. It wheelies like crazy when it has grip. I also replaced the silicone in the diff with silicone earplugs for a super stiff limited slip diff.

To boring 6s baby.

Generally the Lower speed looks to be more fun. If 2WD has TOOOO much power it can often be annoying uncontrollable. But 6s would look cool

This is essentially an arrma raider. It even has the same exact chassis and esc along with the motor. It is pretty much just a raider with some widened side supports, body clips, and bigger tires and a different body.

kev i love the channel i have arrma senton and i love it ive only broken the bumper after five badly landed jumps

The little truck that could. Might have to go nuts with a body reamer Ken. I have a 4x4 Slash that I love, same thing over jumps, quite funny though. I don’t mind 2wd’s, a different driving experience than 4wd. The chassis on that thing is a bit outside the box design wise. I like it.

Hey Kevin love the channel man, i personally love the arrma fury it was my first hobby grade rc i bought it used it was amazing so i bought a new one and upgraded it with a casel set up and that thing flys with some new tires for grip but the one your talking about in your video i did to my nephews arrma fury it was just as fast. But all an all just be careful of the rear wheel hubs the do break after awhile i bought aluminum ones and never had a problem since the truck is durable as hell for a 2 wheel drive. Well keep on doing what you do hope you do more with the Fury would love to see it. Thanks for everything and the great videos.

The gool rc tg3 controller and receiver is really good I have it on all my rc cars and the range is very impressive I ran it over half a mile

You should put a GoolRC in it, i put one in my WLToys 12428 about 2 and a half years ago and it still works like its new, very reliable

I have one and and it’s awesome the only thing is that with a brushless motor and plastic gears inside the gearbox you will melt the gears or shred them

Castle Sidewinder 4 Speed controll with the 4600 KV motor 550 on 2 s 50c. It will ripp. That's what I'm running in my team Durango and a 1/2 to damniers superglue the tires on every time. Been glued on about 30 times now with gorilla glue

The Fury still lives in the Granite Voltage Brushed 2wd and its a pretty cool lil monster truck!!

You can also still find some brand new Arrma Neros, those that were removed from the market following the Traxxas lawsuit..

This has a brushed motor built in. No way it's gonna survive 3s for a long time. The sheet Kevin read about 3slipo ready refers to the brushless blx model.

Put a gool rc 4s system or something 4s and to be honest i wish they would release 2021 versions of their 2wd models.

My cousin has one of those. They are pretty good short course trucks for just mild bashing.

Unfortunately, 3s lipo doesn't work in the brushed ESC for this car. It's for 2s or NIMH. I ran 3s for a while before I learned I couldn't, and ended up lighting the motor on fire!

Love the vid can you do a Kraton 4s vid soon I bought the car and it is best when turned to punch 5 but it breaks diffs

Nice Kev, Should have gotten a Senton 3s though.... I think that's why Arrma stopped doing this truck. Senton 3s is a little beast 😛😜🎯🚀✈️

You need to get the RPM ball end links for the E revo, My e revo has them and I jump it and bash it hard, and they have not broken for yet and its been 6 years of hard beating in -5 F degrees to 108 F degrees. I am also running the proline badland MX tires. They only thing that sucks about the E revo 1.0 is the weak diffs. I want to get the e revo 2.0 for the new stronger diffs.

This is briging back memories from my dads brushless arrma fury from 2014😂

I had a armma fury 1.0 and I put a castle sidewinder 3 in it, on 2s it went about 35 and did donuts all day it also destroyed the gear box

Had the BLS version. Was a great truck but I sold it to go 4wd.

We have one laying around at work, sadly the rear gears are removed and used for repairs on another Arrma car. Its stashed away but not driveable at the moment.

Personally, I would get the WLTOYS 144001 ( I have one), they both go about the same speed, 144001 is 1:14 and you can buy two of them for the price of one fury

brushed motors dont like 3s voltage very much! put a 12T traxxas in my old xxt. 2s is fun, 3s is insane for an old 2wd 1/10 truck

I got that charger with my FTX 1/12 scale surge dune buggy. It’s like a cheap lipo charger

I got this rc car, and its my only one. had it for a couple years now and yes with that smell you will burn out the esc and motor, so I put in a hobbywing brushless system, on 2s its already imposible to drive off road but its fun on road. you. there is also litrlynothing left off the tires.

I'd go 3900 kv & 3s lipo capable esc for speedruns later, maybe build it into a dragster with one of those muscle/drag car bodies made for short course trucks... Do belted tires as well ofc.

Hey Kev I see you got the arma fury I have the arma fury and the vorteks I've had them for probably like five years I know them inside and out I'm telling you before you upgrade it to 3S or more you have to upgrade the differential gears I've stripped out like three of them because they're all plastic inside the differential you need to upgrade those before you put a brushless motor in

my 1st hobby grade RC i brought my self i dont think you can buy anymore it was a Venom Gambler 2wd SCT was loads of fun i ended up with 2 of them

I have a rc car that took ryobi batterys and they don't make them anymore. Mine still works but some unreplaceable parts snapped off. Nothing a lil super glue can fix though!

I have had one since 2017, BL swapped it and have it on 4s. With the gearing right I can get it to 75mph.

Kev I have a question about my rc I bought it used and it came with a battery but no charger and the battery is low, when I turn it on the wheels turn but the car doesn’t go forward or reverse, do you know what it is?

Put a tekan Rx8 gen3, with one of there brushless motors in the arrma.

Seen this a month back or so on another channel funnily, was considering getting one.

My brother has a brushed and it always smells a bit after but one time it smelled really bad and it turned out the motor had burned out

Apparently this year arrma are going to release the arrma Kraton and outcast 4s and they’ve changed the stock radio to the stx3 or back to the tactic I’m not too sure!
