It was January of 2007 if I remember correctly. I was buying some cd albums at my local store and I will never forget how I was suddenly attracted by the cd cover of Dead Letters. Never heard before of that “THE RASMUS” band, but, ok, i decided to give it a chance. A silent force brought me there that day and made me buy that album, because since then you guys have literally changed my life, in terms of music of course. There is no other music, no other vocals, no other atmosphere like yours that can fit SO perfectly within me, inside my soul. Everything I composed in the last 15 years of music was always highly influenced by your way to give voice to emotions, through your songs. Thanks for always been here and there and keep on going! Lauri was amazing live every time I saw him. He doesn't need this playback. He must have either had a sore throat or the show must have asked them to do a playback performance.

I think the high notes have become a problem for him to sing live as he’s aged. Nonetheless I’d prefer a live performance as well.

There's a couple of TV concerts and events in Finland that require playback performance from all artists, and there's some bands that have refused to appear because of this. I'm pretty sure Elämä Lapselle also has this rule. This is a charity show, though, so I doubt anyone is going to say no to performing.

The latter. It's problematic and time consuming to change settings for each artist that will take the stage during a live TV broadcast, thus, they do playback.
