Absolutely stunning 😍 304R. If I had the money I would buy that YESTERDAY. I was 20 years old and my brother said I’ve bought a brand new car knowing that I love Cosworth’s. Anyhow he picked it up from a RS dealership in Manchester and when he pulled up i was shocked having never heard about a 304R but when I saw the badges Rouse Sport 304R I knew straight away it’s the legendary Andy Rouse engineered Cosworth. It was supposed to be one of the very last ones 1991 J reg white with black leathers. That feeling being in a brand new Cosworth 4x4 but a Rouse Sport 304R also he had the RS500 steering wheel fitted because original one from the 4x4 ain’t good looking. The acceleration from the word go just devastatingly quick with the smaller turbo if I’m correct same as escort/fiesta RS turbo’s. That day will live with me for ever. #LegendaryCosworth’s

You think that a RS500 steering wheel is 'better looking' than the one in this car? Or any newer 4X4 Sapphire? 🤨 🤔

Beautiful car, super condition. Andy Rouse, quite rightly, still comands enormous respect.

I could imagine this in the prestige section of Auto Trader magazine 20yrs ago. edit: as a panel beater and painter/refinisher, that bodywork and trim is flawless.

Lovely car, great tire choice as well. For some reason I am way more confident on the Falkens than on Michelins for example...

Can't be many cars that had the torque figure in the model name.

Andy Rouse big in building race cars…..not so big in body styling modifications. Shame the skirts look so bad, rs500 style lip look alright I suppose.

Dennis who worked for fords in parts I'm pretty sure he had one..which one of the 2 I can't remember...wouldn't be surprised if its still in his garage covered up...low miles.. he a ford nut through & through.. keeps track on all the old rs stuff that was being ended by fords..think he managed to buy the last 2 cossie engines in crates.. Think he sold one kept the other..
