His message was more along the line of people buying these supposed valuable items in order to feel a sense of belonging and to be a part of something they perceive as greater. This "bleak future" is now (to a much lesser degree than bleak. I would say more along the lines of lonely) and he stated that people may buy these items now more than ever because they feel far more isolated than ever.

In terms of knowledge, skills, achievments and use for the world, leonardo da vinci was one of the most impressive humans that ever lived. Imagine having skills in comparison to a doctors degree in physics, engineering, biology, architecture, arts, astronomy and probably much more. Would love to see him in todays environment and using the technology and equipment, imagine the possibilities.

@@Akapulko understandable but highly unlikely. Things can lose cultural interest and therefore value, but sadly there’s never any “get rich quick” tricks or 100% fast methods. All you can do is your best and do minor long-term investments to procure some profits. It’s all a waiting game.

You know when it comes to the whole art collection thing IMO, I actually think that most of the “Art” museums have is probably somewhat of a fake, like I’m fairly certain most of the real shit is on the black market😂

As a history buff, and for those interested, theres a video on a YT channel called Kings and Generals that goes into the whole "was Caesar a good guy or a bad guy" thing, it'd be cool to see X react to it, but i thought i'd let those of you who are interested know. I always found it curious how so many other companies got SO much hate for lootboxes/lootcrates, yet nobody ever blamed or poured hate on Valve for inventing the damned things in the first place!! It was like either everyone had conveniently forgotten this "small" fact, or almost nobody knew about it to begin with.

theres a very good reason; it's purely cosmetical and not in anyway pay to win or even "pay to save time". Additionally, there's an actual TF2 and CS:GO economy. If you unbox the rarest item in Overwatch, you'll have still wasted money in the end. But if you unbox a burning flames team captain or a factory new dragon lore you'll make good money from selling them intelligently.

@@notting2640 I think you're missing my point - if Valve hadn't have invented the things in the first place, then there wouldn't have been other companies that saw it and went "we can replace the cosmetic stuff with stuff that actually gives advantages" and we wouldn't be in the gaming mess we're in today. There wouldn't BE lootboxes. Valve proved the concept wasn't just possible, but ridiculously addictive too. I know MAYBE someone else might have still created them eventually ... but maybe not?? How many years did we have of games before CS and lootboxes became a thing? And in all that time nobody else invented the bloody things. So ultimately, yes Valve is to blame 100% for the existence of lootboxes and 100% SHOULD GET HATE FOR IT.
