Some people have commented that I may have made a mix up about how the verdant bones are unlocked. The way that the commendation is written out does make it confusing and I will make sure to do some testing soon and post results here. Breh, could give you all the footage you want/need for both curses, I unlocked it all myself.

The verdant bones aren't hard to get, you just need to reach a 4 streak 50 times. Not a 50 streak

The shores of gold tall tales are actually really fun. The one consistent thing I've found is that once you figure out the answer, it won't take much time before you progress to the next part of the tall tale. The clues provided will only be relevant once you progress to said clues, so looking ahead will often confuse you more than it will help

4:26, sorry to be a nitpick but the Athena’s Blessing/ghost curse requires Pirate legend & lvl100 guardians, not lvl 30 Athena, great video though top tier🤝(edit: you also only need to get a streak of 4 aka champion status fifty times for Verdant Bones, not a 50streak)

None of these are rare nor prestigious anymore I could literally go into safer seas and grind it all out solo with zero competition. Cosmetics are officially deceased, unless you have some of the OG discontinued cosmetics you basically have nothing of value.

Just a note, you don’t need Athena’s fortune 30 to unlock the ghost curse, just pirate legend.

I used to use the Soulflame Set, but my peers wouldn't often use the extra sets

The soul flame crew set was free for an event back when me and my friends got it

I actually did the Gold Curse completely solo. Took me around a week to speedrun everything.

Fun Fact: If you have the crappiest of crapy internet, there is a high chance some of your crewmates will look like they have the Verdant Bones equipped, of course, only you can see them that way.

having the soulflame and the gold curse but not being able to equip both at the same time is my biggest curse

A good friend of me does have the golden ghost curse. When I was playing with him and another friend of me an other crew were scared when they saw that curse and they sailed away XD

I just finished the gold curse grind a few days ago, and I can say that it is definitely worth it!

You don´t have to be athena level 30 to get the ghost curse. Just level 100 guardian as well as pirate legend

I just got my skelly curse last night. Man what a painful grind that was. I refuse to grind for gold skelly curse 😂

I’ve had one person with the golden Athena curse join me once when I was doing the siren skull quest I even took a screenshot to prove it

funny thing about verdant bones, in my last session, we ran into a glitch where one of my crewmates saw from his screen our brand new player looking like he had the verdant bones curse on. For everyone else he was just wearing reaper pajamas, but from that one player's stream we could see it looked like the verdant bones for a while.

That’s just the damned glitch. If people die, they have a chance of not loading in right for other people. So sometimes they look like the green skeleton.

Year one legend set is something I rarely ever see

Tbh the "Wandering Reaper" title and sails are my favorite

I speak from experience about the shores of gold curse it is energy draining ,you’ll want to quit half way through

Ran into a hack last night who disconnected the captain of a ship within about a grid's distance. Crew was fine but if you got too close the captain would be kicked immediately on reconnect until the ship was out of range.

i think the bear figuire head is one of the rarest things as you cant get it anymore

Cosmetic like Black Sea Dog set is rarer than PvP cosmetic, Shore of gold curse, soulflame and dark avventur, that are pretty commons

One cosmetic I never hear about is the "Nightfall Hunter Jacket" which requires players to slay 450 skeleton captains.

Every time i sail i see the gold curse

I've logged 250 hours since they added hourglass. I've only seen ONE golden Athena curse in-game. (For context, 250 hours later, I'm only level 360 with servants of the flame)

As a verdant bones owner I can confirm that the way to get it is 50 4 streaks after the ritual of the flame

Verdant bones are unlocked by 50 4 streaks not one 50 streak. And because most people only go for 4 streaks on average they get verdant bones between level 200 and 400 so defo not the hardest.

Festival of the Damned Lantern. It was the Halloween event item in 2018 you had to light all the lanterns on islands a specific color and you only had a week to do it. They never made that lantern available again since and I’ve never met anyone else who has it.

oh this happens sometimes, sea of thieves doesn't tell us directly why this happens but there's always been speculation that it was either a bug or a place holder while they load back in.

Non of these are really hard to get, mainly only gold skelly/ghost are actually worthwhile.

i have the verdant bones and my high streak was 30, i think this one is for get champion status 50x (4 streak)

He doesnt mention the obsidian six pack which is actually still obtainable to this day. Nowadays instead of giving out a code they have to fill in a form and give it to rare. Thats how i got my set just 2 weeks ago.

I think the rarest from your list is golden hour sails. You can't grind for it and you have to be really creative and gather a large crew to have the best chance

If u think that's unlucky then try having a player join ur crew during a tall tale on the sea of thieves and them sailing ur ship away and burning it! I lost some loot I found after that and had to sink my ship since I couldn't reach it.

2:45 you can just do the tales twice with a friend with a trick and you can both get 5 unlocks easily

I have both golden bones and verdant bones, and I have come across significantly more people with verdant bones than golden. As of this message, and this is just a guess, but I am guessing less than 200 - 500 people have golden bones / golden ghost. But, i could be way off. Roughly 4 or 5 for every 1 golden. It is really hard to track something like that however, so who knows lol. But as I see it, getting to a 4 streak is reasonably doable by just an average crew, so over time, it makes sense. Golden bones imo is a battle of wills really, as you are having to do the same content that we have been doing already for 5 years, over and over, and going from 200-1000 with 0 cosmetics in between can simply make people that hit 200 want to just give up. That is my guess at least. I honestly wish they made them way harder to get instead of just grinding. The verdant bones however, I will say at least has a small bit of challenge / risk to it ( super minimal ) instead of only the pure grind, but i just feel it is obtainable faster.

way less than 5% have the gold skelli/ghost, wayyy less, most people stop at lvl 100, and verdant bones are NOT rarer than gold bones, not at all, you get them at lvl 500 ish, or even earlier when you target them

Do the second sails come free now or something i have them and havent ever submitted into that contest

@@LuckySOT well the you maybe get 2 meg spawns every 4-5 hours per session, meaning you got around a 33% chance to even get either a meg, ghost ship, or kraken. And within that 33% window the shrouded ghost spawn rate between the other various megs is 0.14% meaning that you have around a 0.000462% for the ghost to spawn
