Love to see these old school shoes back. I'm an older sneaker head who actually had the original Air Max 86 in 1986 when I was 18 years old. Such a nostalgic shoes.

Back in 2020 I was helping an older relative clean out his garage and he had an OG 1986 big bubble just sitting in his garage! Size 8.5, pretty bad condition, but it was a great find. This pair has since been sold to eBay, but I am so exited to see these return!

I almost bought the leather version a year or two ago when then released, in glad I waited. This is exactly the shoe I wanted.

the size tag on the sock linen is another shocking detail, bring back the history where the old skool era sizing presentation catching the good old memories, it would be iconic if we have the tinker hatfield signature embossed on the back of the tongue tag.

Back in 2014/2015 I got the AM Lunar 1 with the Lunarlon midsole. I really loved those shoes. I hope Nike release a reedition or something with the midsole material of the current product line.

Thx Seth that was always my issue with AM1s they’re kind of narrow so I’m happy to hear they widened them around the lace area which is where I felt it. I may consider picking them up in my tts.

For some reason I'm not excited to get this sneaker while the AM1 is one my favorite silhouettes of all time. I had probably 3 or 4 of the 2017 version, but kept trading it for other sneakers. I still remember when this sneaker came out in 1986. We where so surprised. ❤ let's see how long I resist the temptation before the FOMO kicks in.

Some shoes you look at and just know, you have to budget a minimum of two pair. These, I need two pair of. You can just imagine any stain or dirt on that toe box and because of the material.....well, as a sneaker head you already know.

I wouldn't think so..cause the royals never had a big bubble.. by time the orginal royal am1 came out the production for the am1 was already converted to the smaller bubble

Nitpick, it's not nubuck(nubuck is real leather) it's always been a synthetic suede. Glad to hear that the midsole actually has some give. Regular AM1s are so uncomfortable under foot.

It could be synthetic nubuck, as suede and nubuck is the same thing, just different grains of leather.
