I would squeeze Flash, Supergirl, and Batgirl into the story but you could switch Batgirl out with Catwoman or Black Canary if her appearance contradicts the time line, I just think having a street level hero would diversify the roster a bit and also scratch a couple of key characters off of the “where the hell are they?” list.

Adam Strange: The guy you call when Flash Gordon can't always save everyone of us.

Vixen dies, not Hawkgirl. That wakes up both sides who can see that humans came to help them both with a Thanagarian and a man whose family is on Rann and that they're not afraid to risk their lives to fight the Dominators. When the fight is over they try to retrieve Vixen's body but it's gone. Later in a mid-credits scene, we see some Dominators examine Vixen's body when she opens her eyes. The post-credits scene showing Shayera nursing a baby Warhawk with John, fade to black - "to be continued"...

Then some years after this theoretical movie we could get Justice League: Apocalypse of 09 :D

Holy crap! Finally a classic Watchtower Database video!

We need more DCAU, hopefully this movie does end up getting made. I’m also hoping we can get another series maybe a Titans animated series with Nightwing, Starfire, Robin(Tim), Cyborg, Aqualad(Garth), Beast Boy, Raven, Troia(Donna Troy), Speedy, I think that would be great and it could feature Batgirl and Batman in it in the first few episodes to show Tim being recruited by Nightwing maybe and we can be introduced to the Titans at the same time Tim is and maybe Static can join later on down the line or something

I would love this idea and to tie both films (Fatal Five and Rann-Thannagar War) stories together in a follow up film we all have wanted for a while: JUSTICE LEAGUE REUNION!!! Make it happen DC!!

I would love to see this movie. The Infinite Crisis tie-ins are really underrated, especially Rann Thanagar War and Day Of Vengeance

Id like to see a film in the DCAU where it focuses on Superman earning back the people's trust after Superman:TAS Legacy Part 2 knowing they could make a good film or better yet season of Superman:TAS that focuses on that issue when we know Superman mentions he worked hard to earn the people's trust over the years between his show and Justice League pilot episode.

I wish I could've been here earlier as a Patron, but I'm fresh out of money atm. Nuts.

This would be a really awesome movie and if it ever ends up happening I’d love to see a real deep one on one chat between Shayera and Mari where they just work things out between them when it comes to John. Like not make it too overly clichè dramatic basically. I’m not worried they would since everything was handled pretty maturely in the show, I’d just want that to carry over.

Man, I would LOVE to see a Legacies issue about this.

I’d like an animated movie on this but excluding the characters in justice league be the fatal five so it can take place at the same time. We need Vixen, Hawgirl, Hawkman, Adam Strange, Kyle Rayner and John Stewart. Maybe with the flash as a background character John brought as a friend. Those should be the main characters.

Here is an interesting question-- I rewatched Almost Got Him today, and was thinking about something. We know Jokers story is true, but are the others? Might they have made them up on the spot? Another thing: if the stories are true, then does Batman kill two people in that episode? Its made very clear that the giant penny is big enough to crush someone, but when he escaped, the penny fell on two of Two Faces thugs, and they aren't seen again in the episode. I don't know if it would technically be Batman's fault, but did they die?

I think they were hospitalized in full body cast since the penny most likely crushed them but if the giant penny was made with some cheaper metals like the modern penny that would have a nickel inner with a copper coating, it’ll probably be like getting piled on by construction pipes.

They are ‘loose’ stories from the villains POV, like the people let Batman keep the giant penny since said fight plus you could see it in the batcave at least with justice league, Batman beyond, and btas (I’m not sure if we see the trophy room in the show except the new adventures, gotten the dvd sets of JL and btas for this year’s Christmas so I’ll probably binge watch the whole shows if I remember lol. )

@@-Teague- knowing themed super villains, they probably are exaggerations. Well now I’m remembering that croc actually did throw a big rock at Batman as the killer croc disguised Batman had referred in the circus related croc episode.

I hope they make a movie about this and the Near apocalypse of '09

I still think the JLReunion movie should take place after the “Return of The Joker” flashback with hints of Wonderbat here and there

Man the Rann /Thanagar War Was kinda cool. Ive herd they had a War in the 80s. I got on board in the 00s. It was an intrigate series of cross overs that compossed the majority of Adam Strange 00s storyline. Here is my count of those minis: Hardcore Station Adam Strange: Planet Heist Infinite Crisis Rann/Thanagar War Rann/Thanagar war special. 52 Adventure in Space Mystery in Space The Weird vol.2 Rann /Thanagar: Holy war Strange Adventures Adam Strange R/T War special It was a really elaborate pack of Minis I think it was an attempt by DC to draw new fans into the vast world of its cosmic characters. I have most of these series and have owned them all at one point or other. I really like R/T War. Your Video has inspired me to re-read the ones i still have thanks.

Hey there! I am loving Death Metal! It’s always at the top of my reading pile. I got into comics a few months before Infinite Crisis, which was my first big event that I ever collected the tie-in issues, so Death Metal feels like a love letter to everything I’ve read by DC Comics in the last 15 years.

Plot twist: vixen dies instead of shayera

Ok pitch this: at the end of that movie we see a rift un space and then we heard a transmision from jhon jones: too all jla members, this is martian manhunter! We need you right now on earth, an unkown fenonema is happening in multiple cityes, androids are taken human hostages, the skyes are turning red...... ! And then we see multiple earths emergin from that rift and other voice sayng: a crisis in deed John, one that can restore the tinks Like they meant to be!..... idont know man i want to see a DCAU version of infinite crisis, that will explains stuff Like the jsa, wally west etc

The only movies I can imagine now happening in the DCau is this, and Static meets the Titans. Because I can't imagine them recasting Batman.

Alright, so I don't have a "pitch," persay, but I do think an interesting element to include is the idea of Shayera mentoring a new "Hawkgirl" in the form of Kendra Saunders, as Shayera hasn't technically been Hawkgirl since "Starcrossed." Perhaps, this is the Hawkgirl Mr. Terrific was referring to in "Fatal Five." Just a thought.

Hmm. Interesting idea

I like it, but to keep it DCAU canon Shayera couldn’t die due to the fact that Warhawk is around in Batman Beyond. Of course, after Batman the Adventure continues it’s clear that DCAU canon isn’t a big concern so maybe they could kill her. It’d rank up the drama.

Jon and Hawkgril have a kid as the war carries on. Hawkgirl give her life to stop the war. Jon returns to earth to raise his son. A NASA Astronaut Hal Jordon who got caught up in the War , get Jon Ring.

Have them fight Icthultu at the end. Idk how, but we can add Dr. Fate screaming SO FATE DEMANDS!!!! again

Ah, but James, the multiverse is trending. Things are happening in other DC properties that people weren't expecting, like Michael Keaton playing his Batman again. Perhaps the animated multiverse with have a spotlight. Again. That Teen Titans movie canonized the DCMAU to its multiverse, so maybe something will come along that will finally connect the DCAU with the Teen Titans universe, but through the multiverse. Separate earths. Along with animated movie universe, if they are creating a new shared universe that came from Barry time traveling again. Apparently that was never officially the case and it was a pipe dream of the director or something of Apokolips War. That's vaguely remembered paraphrase of something I read online, so...

I definitely feel like the whole thing would be wrapped into a smaller time frame (either the war doesn't last for years *or* the story only covers one set of events that are part of the war: maybe the start of it, maybe somewhere in the middle, maybe the end), or a big time skip would take place between two separate films which each cover their own complete story arc but inform each other. On top of that, I don't think it would behoove a film to have even close to the cast size suggested, just from a logistics perspective. Not saying they wouldn't do it, just that I think it would be to the film's detriment. I think the easiest choice is to have a single point of entry character, and since we already have Hawkgirl established it probably makes the most sense to use her as point of entry over Adam Strange.

The cult leader chick is a (secret) acolyte of Icthultu (trying to bring the OLD TIME RELIGION back--seeing Thanagar's defeat as a sign that the Thanagarians need to turn back to their god), a surviving leader of the High Council, and is likely pissed off at Shayera. DCAU!Hawkman insists on going w/said Hawkgirl even though he's a human in this meta vs Thanagarian. Alternately, said cult leader, in order to ensure her people survived, used stolen Zeta Beam tech to teleport Rann into Thanagar's orbit--to wipe out the Gordanian threat and conquer Rann in one move (under false pretenses, which (per Starcrossed) the Thanagarians are known for in DCAU-canon). War breaks out, and Hawkgirl feels compelled to try to save her people.

This is year but I'm go with your version bc it ties with the comics and the TV series

Well, you're also going to have to work in Hro Talak somehow (maybe one or more of his lieutenants as Thanagarian fighters?) as the DCAU Carter Hall doesn't really have a Thanagarian connection And if Future Warhawk is a concern, well, no rule against Vixen doing The Big Sleep, now is there? Effect on John Stewart and Shayera would still be dramatic.

Carter is a half blood, son of a thanagarian ornitologyst and a native american woman called Naomi. They fell in love and lived in Thanagar, where Carter (Katar) was born. But she didn't like the lifestyle there because it was too violent. So, they split, she went back to Earth and their son stayed in Thanagar. Years later, he and his wife, Shayera, go to Earth and he and Naomi reunite. Then he learns about her mother's traditions and becomes a traditional healer. 😍😍😍

Cause I've been a massive DCAU fan and am just now trying to get into the newer stuff (ur channel really helps me at least try to figure out the order of them) so I wasn't sure if an actual movie was gonna happen or if JL vs FF was gonna be their "last" DCAU movie

The war is discussed from season 2 of justice league onwards. It's why Thanagar invaded earth, and why in Unlimited only a few Thanagarians are left since the war is basically lost. A handful of thanagarians are on an alien world when vigilante, vixen, and shayera investigate and we learn this. its not some out of left field thing or a comics only one.

@@dcauwatchtower Wow went back to watch those three episodes, i had misremembered and thought Gordanians were serving Rann as frontline soldiers. Since in comics Gordanians work for Psions or a similar power, rarely ever being in charge. Your right i was wrong.

Hawkgirl is really confusing. Kendra Saunders is Shiara(spelling?) reincarnated, yes? They're both around much later in recent stuff with Metal. I think.

Granted, that first came to prominence from the tie-in comics, which are quite lenient on censors... still, at least it doesn't feel hashed a la the Lobo webseries. I would have preferred a final conclusion to the Thanagarian-Gordanian conflict. Besides, the Rann just aren't that important and well known on the DCAU side of storytelling and all that. 15:50: Bless that video for summarizing the Hawk madness. 17:14: Also, much as I preferred it when Vixen should have been K.I.A. during the Near-Apocalypse of '09, killing her off here would be a neat substitute to Hawkwoman's demise, although the killer shouldn't be Blackfire... any chance she'll be replaced by Star Sapphire? 17:19: Kyle Rayner would be a fine GL partner to John Stewart there. (21:48 proves that point.) 22:47: Again, Vixen should, as a change from the Batman Beyond AU comics. Interesting how this vid becomes more meaningful with the Tomorrowverse's Green Lantern film in mind.

We've been allowed bubbles but my dad has a job and my brother doesn't live with us and has a job and he goes out places and it's hard to have a bubble because people need to work and then the bubble bursts. I'm just waiting for the sky to turn red. 🤣

Eric Carrasco has a whole idea for her origin that he hopes to put in a tie-in comic someday. Until then, we can only guess!

I'd center an animated film around Kyle Rayner and Hawkman. Introduce a new Hawkwoman, and let J'onn, John, Vixen, and Hawkgirl be background characters. Showcase Adam Strange, Tigorr, and finally give Prince Gavyn some lines! I'd make the evil deity the villain and skip anything that seemed too political.

@@gregsanders61 There's not actually any way to know that. If God exists, it is very possible He is intervening in human affairs, preventing disasters, etc. all the time. How would we have any way of knowing? Sure we got a holocaust, 9/11, etc., but who's to say there wasn't much more and much worse in store that He just didn't let happen?

Well, maybe not Starman. In JLU, Courtney has the Cosmic Staff and is teamed up with Pat, suggesting that Starman is at best retired, and at worst… Honestly, given the Thanagarian invasion of Earth during their war with the Gordanians, it’s entirely possible that the (theoretical) movie would *much* different than the comics version. Maybe they were going to try a similar ruse with Rann, only Adam Strange *knew* what had happened on Earth and warned them what their Thanagarian “hero” was really up to, which ultimately sparked open conflict between the two worlds. Not saying everything else would be tossed out in this scenario, but I could see them switching quite a few things up, in order to surprise their fans and differentiate the movie from the comics. (Look at Captain America: Civil War, for an example of what I mean.) Besides, with as much as they stick to their established continuity in the DCAU, there’s no way the characters involved wouldn’t reference the events of Starcrossed, and (initially, at least; things would likely get a lot more complicated as the movie went on) side with Rann.

You can’t really kill shiera if Warhawk hasn’t been born yet

I don’t think hawk girl could die since she and green lantern end up having a kid together according to the timeline.

@@dcauwatchtower Good point. That would explain why Warhawk and Hawkgirl are never seen in the same place.

I'd be fine with a Rann-Thanagar movie, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a #JLreunion. Personally, I think a one-off film would be a better suit for this story and I would rather a new DCAU film to focus on an original story or explore an already mentioned in-universe event. Perhaps one set in the year 2009...😉!

Great video as always! I have a rather irrelevant question ... While browsing the internet I came across a series of books called "DC Super Hero Adventures" (written by Michael Anthony Steele and illustrated by Leonel Castellani). These books apparently just released this year and I was wondering if these stories were taking place in the DCAU ...
