Id re-watch VPR from the beginning to the end with Amy and Nick. Their points of view are very good and I appreciate how they dont always see eye to eye.

We who have watched VPR from the very beginning see the history with a different POV… in Season 1 most of the cast were in their early 20’s in a Hollywood Bar environment 10 years ago. Everyone/social POV was different 10 years ago! You guys are watching with your “2023” eyes.

This was great, I’m loving all the VPR coverage

also interesting- lala is constantly called a gold digger regarding randall. Heather Mcdonald revealed on her podcast that lala has to send a large portion of her podcast checks to randall monthly. 🚩🚩

I really appreciated this episodes discussion of Lala and the perspective that was brought. I have found the negative reaction to her situation not just heartbreaking, but terrifying. Thank you.

Custody battles are awful and the courts do not prioritize the children's best interests. Good for you guys for empathizing with Lala.

Apparently Jax Taylor blocks everyone; his wife Brittany says he's just petty like that, he even has friends that are blocked that he still talks to IRL. I would LOVE (once you watch all of VPR and see the evolution) for you to have Jax and possibly also Brittany on to discuss his change from Fboy/Player to a secure, married man. It's a fascinating evolution.

Absolutely. It’s basically a one time bread thief VERSUS the Enron embezzlers. These people co-own a house, were in the process of creating embryos, had been together almost 10 years, were still sharing a bed until the very last moment. The main woman had brought the side piece into their inner circle, was protecting her from bullies, ensuring she could stay employed on the show by including her in stuff, even allowed her to sleep in their house. And the side piece repeatedly referred to the main woman as her forever friend, a ride or die and was even doing that in interviews just 2 days before she got caught. The situations are different.

She's clearly never worked in a restaurant - all anybody does is what the Vanderpump cast did in the early seasons - sleep together and party. AND come on Nick you were on THE BACHELOR - you have zero right to turn your nose up at anyone. The level of eye roll within the first ten minutes made it very hard to continue.

I also agree that Schwartz is redeemable on the show if he admits to his blind loyalty & tries to show that he can grow up. Scheana has talked about how this situation has changed her life and how, going forward, she won’t be so blindly trusting of everyone.

Unfortunately, I believe this too. I just wish he could have really given Katie the love and loyalty she deserves. It’s sad to me that I will never see a Malony Schwartz little bit. I think that she may have gotten the best side of divorce life. No kids!! Hot as hell!! Little bit of loot!! And no one making her look and feel bad about herself. I mean she looks africkinmazing!! But I really wanted a little bit!

It’s not that weird for children to get adopted by family members that cannot have children or had 1 child and couldn’t have others. It happens in many cultures. What’s odd is that Raquel did not have much contact with her bio mom. This suggests that either the bio mom didn’t want to give her up (but had to) or she didn’t want any contact with Raquel. If it’s the latter, her adoptive parents should have gotten her into therapy early…and not focus on pageants. Her parents are wealthy, she could get the treatment now. She needs to apologize to Arianna, break away from TV and the friend group, and move on to a normal career and life (out of the spotlight). I don’t think this will happen though, it’s sad.

Why are we assuming Rachel's parents are wealthy? Just curious. Didn't Scheana have to pay for her apartment and then the old little car? Wealthy people don't always give their children the best of everything but nothing about her says I come from money to me. Maybe I missed some stuff

This is the third time I've watched this podcast. I just fell in love with Nick when he was reading the Nutrofol Sponsor.

Lala says that Randall had the couple therapist that he & Ambyr went to tell her that they were no longer together. I think he also showed her some kind of legal paperwork

Thank goodness Ariana did not have her eggs fertilized by Tom as they had planned. Per a scene from the show the Dr. told him there would a delay because Tom had to be sober & more healthy for a period of time before the fertilization could occur.

I think DWTS may help give Ariana more fitness & confidence. It may distract her & Keep her focused on that project. What she may need after the breakup. Just because she is in the main stream media spotlight doesn’t mean this hasn’t been a blow to her self confidence.

I don’t think the guest liked nick very much hahaha so much passive aggressive energy it was awkward at points

I honestly think she shows sign of autism, like what she did is horrible but I also don't think we should judger her facial reactions for how she actually feels.

The LA columnist is not bright. Acting isn’t going to be a big payday for a woman entering her 40s even if she’s as pretty as Ariana. She could build something in the Lifetime movie world but a smart woman will get her coin now that the opportunity is open.

Am I the only one who was uncomfortable when the guest was very pointedly and repeatedly picking apart Nick's speech. It's not a "Midwest" thing, people have different impediments and other speech issues, and even accents that change the way words sound. Sorry, Nick.

I am definitely impressed with Nick, for someone who just started watching VP, the way he talks about the cast and show is so on point. You would think he's been since day 1. He gets it!! It’s felt uncomfortable and I did see why she felt the need to correct him so much. I also agree I think Nick navigated so well in his answering and questioning - but he came from a place of knowing the world but also empathic and intelligently put. Something Amy seemed to lack, empathy.

Tom & the Extras were in Decatur IL on 5/27 per their tour date schedule so may not be Raquel

The only reason for her to do DWTS is if the pay is incredible.

Good show. Ironic discussion about how people pick friends. As much as I like Ariana, the one thing I didn’t like was how despite seeing what Rachel repeatedly did to Katie (totally INEXCUSABLE way to treat a co-worker even if you don’t like them), she defended her and said “I dont want to get in the middle” and “she’s done nothing to me” - this didn’t exactly age well. She fortunate to have everyone’s support when she didn’t give it to a friend who deserved and needed it. I hope Ariana sees it now, sometimes you should judge behavior and pick a side.

Love your VPR podcasts. Is there anyway to put something on the mic so that people with scratchy voices or a lot of vocal fry like today could have that minimized. Literally not able to hear the entire show for this reason.

This was a great episode. With regard to the end - Tom would never come you're right but if Raquel comes out on an apology tour this podcast would actually be a really smart move for her...

It's wonderful how narcissists and their tactics are now mainstream. Must be harder for them to get their supply these days

I would like to see Tom and Rachel together on your show - with the opportunity for Nick to ask all the Why’s in front of each other.

Have you watched back earlier episodes of VPR with regard to Lala and Randall’s relationship? She knowingly got with this man and was willing life ok the other way for wealth. “That's Hollywood. “That's what she used to say

In terms of soberity and the possibility of Raquel using it as an excuse for her behaviour, I know you said Lala had her problems but has admitted she was drinking and has taken steps to change her behaviour- and has been forgiven- I think yes Raquel drank a lot and perhaps that was a contributing factor for her decision but if people decide not to forgive her she will have to live with that. I know everyone has their problems on the show and theyre not amazing people but if the decide to not forgive raquel or even sandoval in the future- thats their decision Actions have consequences and if the rest of the cast or friend group decide regardless of changes they dont want to have a relationship- it needs to be respected

Idk if she'll be diagnosed but the fact that she doesn't show emotion or has a straight face and monotone is present in so many things like autism. I don't think she's a great person and she really fucked up regardless of talking about ableism, but I don't think we as a audience should assume how people feel based on facial reactions and tones. It's literally part of some developmental delays and neurodivergence sometimes. She's literally shown in smaller ways that she doesn't look like how she feels eg her panic attack so I do think there's more to this an sociopathy.

Don't think the picture is of Raquel. My brother-in-law looks exactly like a guy from Duck Dynasty. People would call out to him constantly. I agree!! I still think that Lala's situation is different from Ariana's because Lala's situation is not relatable to most of us. Ariana's is. Lala's reputation takes work obviously where as we automatically feel for Ariana but that's the way it goes. Lala was a part of the dark side of what Randall was a part of and unfortunately she got burned by this douche bag that none of us liked whether one hated Lala or not. She's paying the price with her reputation but us Ariana fans see the growth in Lala as a mother and as her fierce loyalty for her friends. Regardless these women are supporting each other. I cringed at the way they put it.

Anyone else been slowly driven nuts over the past few months in various interviews as Scandoval has unfolded, with people switching back & forth between pronouncing Schwartz’s name as “Schwartz” & then twenty seconds later, same person, “Shorts”…

Per Jax, who used to be a scoundrel, but has been living as a better human for a while, he recent said on his (or some) podcast that he learned the girl in Vegas, who said she was pregnant, extorted several men for “an abortion” and he was one of them. But…Jax has a lot to gain if that’s true. He says several people, who know her, have come forward to say it was fake, for money.

Nick** to answer your question about kardashin vs VPR cast and PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong… but each of the kardashians are buisness women they are a brand as a whole with dash and Kylie make up and skims and such. Yes Tom Tom is a thing as well as something about her. But they have branched out from t.v cast to an actual brand. And yes Kim K is a legend of course but she’s made a name for her self. Not just a model. A mother, lawyer, brand owner, entrepreneur. Same with Kendall with here 818. -motherwithanopinion

To me James is super focused on the outer appearance. He liked Rachel for her looks and now same with the new girl. Ally 100% will not stay with James. And I do believe Rachel still and always suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome. Her personality is displaced. She looks for identity in others. For her, sex equals love.

The lack of emotion is because Tom Sandoval told her he wanted out of the relationship with Ariana. In her view, he didn't love her anymore and loved her.

I think it'll be fine if Raquel does not return to the show. Sandoval is the essential return, not her.

I think ppl aren’t factoring in the post-pandemic of it all in how much Scandoval has caught on society-wise. It gives us an easy, reality TV junk-brain situation to get thrills and focus on

I honestly don’t think either Tom gives a shit how the other treated their S/O. They only cared for appearances. If Schwartz really objected he could of told Ariana or Katie at any point and it would have been all over. He had form August, 22 to 1 March, 23. Never did anything to put an end to it. Instead he filmed pre-planned scenes with Sandy to made Ariana look like a shit girlfriend. Schwartz’s only concerns when Scandoval hit were how much he was coping it on social media, and what it was doing to their business. He said plenty of pleasantries about how Sandoval did the wrong thing. But his only anger was about Tom taking off with his band when they needed to get the Reataurant up and running. They will be friends for the rest of their lives. Girlfriends will come and go, but Schwartz and Sandy are 4eva
