I haven't even finished the video (I'm at the 15-minute point) and already I'm so deeply impressed with the woman who was attacked. She showed remarkable presence of mind when faced with possible death (such as sticking her tongue out so a gag wouldn't fit tightly, wanting to leave blood at the scene to aid forensics, taking mental notes about the characteristics of her attacker). Then, she was able to describe what happened to her so calmly and in such detail. What a strong person!

They didn’t have the advantage of watching this video, knowing the details after-the-fact, have time to size him up, knowing if he did/didn’t have other weapons, if there was another perpetrator, and how to react in an instant… in the dark, when they stumbled into this dangerous and terrifying scenario, as very young adults/teens, etc. They expect them to have done an instantaneous risk/reward or pro/con list, make a plan together, then act. 🤦🏻♀️ Long way of saying I agree with you. 😆

I wondered about that too... I guess they were just two naive kids 🤷🏽♀️ they just weren't able to imagine how evil some humans can be... And by the time they realized how much truoble they're in, they were both in ties...

Unfortunately they may have been drinking and therefore their judgement was not quick, plus they had already decided that going to the tracks at night was better than staying at a boring party, pretty dumb...
I remember this episode. Unbelievably scary!

I couldn’t finish this, you mean 1 man with an ice pick and two people with a backpack couldn’t stop him? Very very sad…..

That’s because they let fear control them.
Her calling and life’s work sprang from the well of her greatest tragedy. Holly is an Angel. A model human being!
I read all the complaints about the music, and I have to agree. It's the repetition that makes it pretty annoying by the end.
What an incredibly amazing woman! I'm speechless...
I was so focused on the story that the music wasn’t noticeable. I’m glad that Holly was able to testify and that she is now helping other victims of violence. Of course, she will never fully heal from her ordeal, but she is doing good things that she never would have done, otherwise.
The loud dramatic background music detracts from the survivor telling her story. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put her story to a soundtrack should feel embarrassed about their choice.
Please lower down the background music 😩

Glad I'm not the only one that thought this 🤣Seriously, this case is incredibly rough, and these women are amazing. Holly's strength is just unbelievable... but I can't focus because this music is so loud and sounds like I'm about to be attacked from the bushes...
Music soundtrack is too loud.
I'm impressed that only roughly 6 years passed between the sentencing in May 2000 and the actual execution in July 2006. That's how it should be!
Music so annoying. Unnecessary. Please stop this trend. 🙄

We have an illegal immigrant problem for decades nobody wants to fix it this guy had so many different names and it's still happening 🤷🏾
the music in this episode is so ridiculous and distracting
Can people scroll through comments first and if something is already said a million times not to post about it again. We get it, you dont like the music.
I can't imagine anyone wanting to go hang out in the middle of night in the dark near the train tracks 😵💫There is no telling what kind of Transients are hanging around there. We used to call them hobos. Even as kids we knew not to go around the tracks.

I remember seeing this story on the news when I was a kid, when I was about 10 years old. Scared 😱 the crap out of us! We had railroad tracks behind our house in Texas.
Can we pls stop bitching about the music and appreciate the fact that we get these amazing, well made documentaries every few days for free?!🙄

EVERYBODY TALKING ABT THE BACKGROUND MUSIC AND NOT THE CASE… You guys this is a true story its not a movie! Bravo to the surviving girl and her family! May God bless you! Bravo to the prosecutor and the detectives!
the music needs to be louder...
Touching. Music is completely unnecessary for this.
Salut for the surviver she is a strong women for what she had been in this big trauma
Holly, you are an incredible inspiration. We are all proud of you as I'm certain are the victims you live for and represent.
10 minutes in and what an incredible story! 😮
Thank you 48hrs! Looking forward to this episode!🙂
Can you guys turn up the music more? I can still hear them talking about how much they are suffering and fighting for their lives. Thanks 🙄
I was so engrossed with the content of video. I did not really pay attention to the music. My condolences to Holly and the other victim's families. I am thankful for Texas and how well they carry the death penalty. The monster's legs were shaking because he was about to stand in judgement for eternity.
