Best review I have ever watched man.

Can't trust discharge rates. Most are not accurate. In a test on another channel there was no difference between 20c discharge and 100c discharge. Not to mention the batteries were from high end manufacturers. I was very surprised. Thanks for the video, been debating on getting a cat or a jet boat as my second boat.

Ya I was really surprised. Now I upgraded the motor and ESC and I am running 6s it is truly wild. I will make a video soon.

Man I just plugged up two 4s batteries in series and the ESC SMOKED!!! No didn't plug two 4s but did plug two venom 2s in series and the esc did smoke. Just got the new esc in the mail. May try 6s after Leopard upgrade but will probably stick with 4s.

I would like to see a picture or video of your twin rudder setup!! I just bought one and I like the idea of the dual rudders!!!

Not trying to spend a ton of money but what batteries should I run in the blackjack 24? and can you do a video of the impulse 31?

Hello Luke!! Wow! That thing is fast on 4s!! Hey, is it really easy to repair fiber glass, because I have a Joysway Invincible Razor (BIG BOAT) and I broke the hull driving it a couple of days ago and I want to get it repaired a soon as possible, the damage to the boat is something small, what do you think about the repair, is it going to be possible? share your experience with the Blackjack, thanks man I really like your boats! I have the proboat 31 and the covers do come off with big crashes happened lots to me, and the fiberglass is weak, they say 4 layers of hand laid fiberglass, mine is cracked and fractured from bow to stern, i think all new fiberglass hulls are weak as piss, i stick to ald school rc boats, new boats are made cheap and weak, my proboat impulse is 6 months old and now cracked up, just do some competition racing and you will see, all the best, good video you have made.

So I'm checking out your video a couple of hours ago, not really thinking of buying it. I never had an rc boat other than the cheapo ones you can use in your pool. Before your video ended I raced over to my local hobby store and got the Blackjack 29. I'm stoked. Can't wait to use it. Hope I don't break it my first time out. Great video.

@@LukeFosburg how exactly did you manage to ruin your first ProBoat Blackjack 29 ?

The Blackjack 29 does not have the best cover that I have seen! For a boat that costs over $400. you think the cover would stay on. I have had mine blow off and the clear cover does not float, mine sank and I lost it. Now I tape them on every time I use it. That being said this is by far the best boat I have ever owned! Running 4s 15,200ma I get 1 1/2 hrs run time. I found that the Spartan cuts through the water a bit better but takes no skill to drive, where this boat requires you to drive it as it rides on air and can be a bit more to handle. Yes it will run 6s but I find 4s is plenty. Tis has been one of the best purchases I have made. LOVE IT!

Well I found an IM31 dual rudder setup and combined that with a second rudder and strut because that is from the older IM31 model. It runs sweet and steers great when its at 60mph.

i know video is from 2014 but what to do in an example if i flip it in medium speed river with small waves ?

Are they the same battery's , that go in a FC40 Drone? and what sea state can you run it on max ?

Looks like you need less prop in the water to stop it from lifting the front. And I think you might will get better speed that way. Nice boat :-)

Try to raise the strut with 5mm and try and 5mm more if you need to.

What are your thoughts about the Joysway Sea surger ? I bought one it runs great . I am thinking of a leopard motor. I am not sure about the RPM diff in the stock motor vs the Leopard. How can I tell and is it a good move for me?

jcleere423 Well one thing you have to look at is prop size and the KV you want to buy. Now I have upgraded this boat to a 4072 Leopard with a 200A esc. It is the 2000 kv with a x640 prop. Its too fast for the hull, it wont stay down in the water. I do love the leopard motors so I def recommend the brand.

Luke, Have you tested the smaller Blackjack 24 inch? I'm new to RC boating and am trying to decide between that and its brother the Shockwave 26'? Any thoughts… they both run appear to run on the same components… for a smaller pond (2acres) would you go with the Shockwave deep 9" full or the BJ 24 catamaran style (is turning a difference between the two? Thoughts / Opinions??

Greg turning will be a little quicker on a V hull design. Also you dont need the stability of a cat because you have real calm water. WIth that being said, I love catamarans and I think they handle great and look even better. Really 6 of one half a dozen of another :)

What 6cell batteries do you run in it?

Just wondering... Did cutting the Tupperware lid and resealing with silicone help keep it sealed on the boat?

Well yes becuase I had a little accident that warped the hull just a little so the lid wouldnt stay on. I cut it down the middle and used a flexible silicone and it stays on perfect.

Opinion if you had the chance to buy a Spartan or a Pro Boat 29, in your opinion, which would you choose?

mineurbiz Pro Boat is much better built, spartan is faster. I would pick the Blackjack all day long.

Ya, if you are driving non stop the whole time it may be closer to 8 minutes but most people dont drive boats that way.

Really dude go to the Horizon website and you will see that the Blackjack has a 120 amp esc, 2000kv motor and the Miss G has 60 amp, 1500kv motor. So definately not the same.

Yes you are correct for version 3. The earlier ones were different tho

Please correct your vid. You stated that you were running 2 4s lipos but you picked up 2 2s lipos for a total of 4s. A novice might try to run 8s on your advice in this boat and take a chance burning up the esc.
