The Quilt-as-you-go Chronicles Ep 2: Machine Quilting and Free-Motion Sewing for QAYG
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is episode 2 of The Quilt-as-you-go Chronicles; in the next ten episodes, we will make a mystery quilt-as-you-go quilt called I, Valentine. Each week we will construct a section of the quilt and show you lots of tips and techniques, as well as delving into all things quilt as you go and sewing. In this series, you will learn how to machine applique, free-motion quilt, and quilt on a home sewing machine. Also, you will discover two great methods for quilt as you go and see how we make an entire quilt from start to finish on our domestic sewing machine. You can sew along with the Pattern Poole community and us; all you need to do is head to our website and purchase the course to have the PDF patterns emailed to you weekly.
It will be lots of fun, and we hope you enjoy it!

I love you and your daughters work. I am just learning how to do this. She designs beautiful animals. I have looked through a lot of your tutorials and I was just wondering if she has ever done a turtle. I would love to be able to hang one on my wall.

Have fun!
Your designs are so beautiful but for me is my patience. Right now I'm working on atomic starburst paper piecing and I kinda don't like that. I will be glad when I'm done with my project. Hahaha
lovely master class, thanks for sharing. 🥰

Thank you so much!
Oh man. I just about completed a small wall hanging and am NOT PLEASED with the bumps from the start/stop of the small stitches at first start. Had I known I could’ve avoided it by doing the step of bringing the material up first, I wouldn’t have those little blisters on the back! Now I know, thank you gals!!!

Thanks, you’re welcome! Bringing the bobbin thread to the top and 6 or 7 small stitches before you start quilting is a game changer 😄
