For a guy that's 60 years old and has 2 kids and is a grandfather of 2. That's BADASS way to retire in my opinion

Ik and the reason it was the fastest cus I asked him all the times before the pod didn't want him go all out incase he would die but this time they let him and apparently half way down the track his legs weren't on the bike he was just holding on

I was in the stands. I’ve seen Eric run a few times but this was really special. Happy retirement Eric 😎

I saw Eric years ago. So happy for his achievement. Secretly I think he could have done it twenty years ago 😉

F.y.i. His half track (1/8th mile - 660ft) numbers where 3.36 seconds at 239.9mph. And his 1000ft speed was 290mph. I was watching from the bank side at 1000ft and when the 4.97 appeared on the board I cheered like I'd won the lottery. I've never heard the Santa Pod crowd cheers that loud in 29 years of attending. I've been watching Eric at the Pod for decades and he was my late father's favourite racer. I held back tears there and then at the track ... But I balled my eyes out rewatching it here. Thank you Kieran for capturing it.. and thank you Eric for some epic memories 🫡

I have never really watched much of this kind of motorsport ... But it's so nice too hear how much enjoyment and passion you and you father had .. I'm going to try and get tickets for my son and I next year .. Any advice for best days .. 🙌 Bless ..

Amazing, atmosphere around the track was great. 💪👌

Just for information, when Eric fires the bike down the track he’s on it until it runs out of pressure, there’s is no of switch or throttle, once it goes it has to go & as the commentator explained Eric distils his own fuel from hydrogen peroxide which in itself is highly dangerous

There will always be Eric Teboul and nobody else, even if his time will be beaten in the future (maybe!). You are the greatest and always will be remembered for your guts and your spirit !! Enjoy your latter days and God Bless !!

We are in the midst of a third world war... Europe is also gonna be in a major recession this winter etc. This man has a very high level education. I think he understands at his age he may as well call it quits now. The bike will probably become a coffee table in his home office or something

Eric stole the day! We sat in the stands and watched history being made! As he passed the finish line there was a mass release of joy, from like-minded individuals! It was what memories are made of and very special! I Hope whatever the future brings for Eric, let it be as much fun! Amen

It is the glue they use for track prep that gives off a shiny look, if you ever walk on a drag strip it’s very sticky and will pull your shoes off if you stand still for too long 😅
